Chapter 6572: A Circus Trick

Chapter 6572: A Circus Trick

The lunatic and the guild leader wrapped themselves in martial power and charged into the dark clouds. They simultaneously swung their God Armaments, unleashing devastating martial skills.

Cold gleams flashed.

The dark clouds dissipated under their attack, but that only further stoked the guild leader’s unease.

It was the same as before.

The dark clouds had scattered, but they had failed to deal decisive damage to the Cloud Leopard Clan’s Clan Chief.

“Kikiki...” A sinister laughter echoed as the dark clouds manifested from the opposite direction. “Aren’t the two of you obstinate? Just like untamed mares. I shall beat some obedience into you, until you finally beg for mercy and become tame!”

Lights shot out of the billowing dark clouds, and over a hundred bells appeared.

“Could it be...”

Fear flickered across the guild leader and the lunatic’s eyes.

If each of the bells represented a single attack, they would be crippled, if not dead, by the time all the attacks landed.

“Run!” the guild leader shouted at the lunatic before turning tail and fleeing.

The lunatic also knew that they would be doomed if they remained, so she executed her movement skill and flitted off.

It only took an instant for them to cover a vast distance, but they stopped when they realized that the dark clouds weren’t following them.

A sneer echoed, “Running away? But escape is futile. I have already imprinted your bodies. You can flee to the ends of the world, but I will still find and capture you. Don’t worry, my beauties. I’ll take care of you after I assimilate the natural oddity.”

The guild leader and the lunatic were extremely displeased to hear those words, but this confirmed one thing. As enigmatic as the other party’s attacks were, they had a limited range. They could dodge his attacks by stepping out of his attacking range.

“I’m heading back,” the lunatic said.

“What? Are you out of your mind? You shouldn’t give up your life for resources!” the guild leader exclaimed.

“What will happen to Chu Feng if we don’t return?” the lunatic asked worriedly.

She was not worried about the natural oddity but Chu Feng.

“Chu Feng was behind the chaos in the Undying Starfield. To escape from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and the Netherworld Sect’s Heavenly Gods, he must have some hidden hands up his sleeves,” the guild leader said.

“What hidden hands does he have?” the lunatic asked.

“Um... I’m not sure, but we can only pray that Chu Feng has a way to deal with that fellow. We clearly aren’t a match for him. If we march back there, there will only be two outcomes—we will either be captured or killed by him. That’ll only burden Chu Feng,” the guild leader said.

The lunatic agreed with the guild leader’s words, but she couldn’t bring herself to watch from afar.

Pu! Pu!

Two dull thuds echoed. Another bloody gorge simultaneously appeared in the lunatic and the guild leader’s abdomens.

A laughter cackled from behind.

Only then did the guild leader and the lunatic notice that the dark clouds had dissipated and reappeared behind them. Appearing with the dark clouds were the 98 bells. He had just used two bells to attack them.

“Was I mistaken?”

The guild leader frowned. She thought she had escaped from the other party’s attacking range, but it looked like her judgment was off.

Just then, the remaining 98 bells rang at the same time.

The guild leader and the lunatic were horrified. Despite knowing that it might not be enough to dodge the other party’s attack, their first reaction was still to flee.

Shoosh!

A figure suddenly appeared in front of them—Chu Feng. His aura had risen to rank one Heavenly God level, but the power was coming from the sword in his right hand.

“The Monster Slayer Sword?”

Both the guild leader and the lunatic recognized the sword. It was the Great Monster Slayer Emperor’s personal weapon.

However, what caught their attention more than Chu Feng’s cultivation was the silver dagger floating in front of him. Chu Feng had stretched his left hand to grab something, but it wasn’t the silver dagger.

“A mere circus trick.”

Chu Feng clenched his left fist, and the crisp sound of snapping bone echoed.

“AHHHH!!! Stop it stop it stop it! Stop it right now!!!” the Cloud Leopard Clan’s Clan Chief screamed in agony, but his voice echoed not from the dark clouds but from in front of Chu Feng.

Chu Feng released his spirit power and constructed a formation. A figure was revealed under the formation. It was a two-meter-tall old man with a humanoid, leopard body. He appeared to be born with a single arm, and he was wielding a silver dagger.

Chu Feng was holding the Cloud Leopard Clan’s Clan Chief by his wrist, which created the illusion of a floating silver dagger earlier.

“The Cloud Leopard Clan’s Clan Chief is really a leopard,” the guild leader remarked.

She had no idea how Chu Feng did it, but he had managed to turn the tide.

“You bastard! Do you know who I am?” the Cloud Leopard Clan’s Clan Chief roared fiercely at Chu Feng. The pain from fracturing his wrist had finally subsided enough for him to speak.

“I can’t care less who you are.”

Chu Feng swung his right arm. With a cold gleam, he lopped off the other party’s only arm.

“GAHHH! Y-you...”

The Cloud Leopard Clan’s Clan Chief screamed miserably while glaring at Chu Feng with hateful eyes. He turned around and vanished into thin air.
