Chapter 6473: The Netherworld Sect’s Sincerity

The Seven Realms Sacred Mansion had activated its defensive formation.

Countless elders wielding formation blades nervously stared at the person outside the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion.

The other party wore the Netherworld Sect’s iconic cloak and red bamboo veil. His red cloak was embroidered with the words ‘Netherworld Marshall’.

He was within range of the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s defensive formation, but it was powerless against him, even though it had the power to subdue even rank five Heavenly Gods. This could only mean he was stronger than a rank five Heavenly God.

The formation suddenly dissipated.

Those from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion were horrified.

“Why are you panicking?” an old man’s voice echoed.

The crowd breathed a sigh of relief as they respectfully greeted the old man, “Paying respect to Lord Mansion Master.”

It was the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master, Jie Tianran. He must have been the one who deactivated their defensive formation.

“Mansion Master, you have finally revealed yourself. Do you want to come out yourself, or should I fight my way in?” the Netherworld Marshall spoke in the voice of a middle-aged man.

Despite being a far distance away, he could see what was happening inside the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion.

Jie Tianran took a step forward and appeared opposite the Netherworld Marshall.

Shoosh!

The Netherworld Marshall suddenly manifested a massive martial power hand to grab Jie Tianran.

However, the hand never landed as an invisible force stopped it in place. It was spirit power. The spirit power morphed into a formation blade and severed the martial power hand before proceeding to do the same to the Netherworld Marshall.

In response, the Netherworld Marshall waved his hand, and the world shook. The formation blade disintegrated.

This sight shook the hearts of those from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion. It had only been a brief clash, but the power they unleashed surpassed the limits of the defensive formation.

Neither the Netherworld Marshall nor Jie Tianran continued their assault.

“You live up to your reputation, Mansion Master,” the Netherworld Marshall said.

“You’re probing me?” Jie Tianran asked.

“I came here to discuss a partnership. May we head to somewhere private for further discussions?” the Netherworld Marshall asked.

“Those from the Netherworld Sect are not welcome on our premises,” Jie Tianran sneered.

“Mansion Master, you must have some misunderstandings about us. We aren’t a demonic sect. It’s a bias that the world harbors toward us,” the Netherworld Marshall said.

Jie Tianran turned around and left.

The Netherworld Marshall understood Jie Tianran’s intention and followed him.

The two of them traveled some distance away from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion before Jie Tianran pulled out a floating palace. It was a treasure with incredible isolation property. Most notably, it could only be discovered at close range.

Jie Tianran entered the palace, and the Netherworld Marshall followed suit.

The palace was vast and majestic, a place used to host guests. This showed that Jie Tianran harbored no animosity against the Netherworld Sect; on the contrary, he regarded them highly.

“I, Jie Tianran, don’t work with people who dare not show their faces,” Jie Tianran said.

“It’s not that I dare not; I’m just reluctant. Too many people are unworthy of seeing my true face, though that does not include you, Mansion Master,” the Netherworld Marshall said as he took off his bamboo veil, revealing the weathered face of a white-haired, middle-aged man.

“I am Baili Xukong,” the Netherworld Marshall said with a bow.

“Sit down,” Jie Tianran said.

Baili Xukong didn’t hesitate to take a seat.

“Baili Xukong, the head of the Netherworld Sect’s new faction,” Jie Tianran remarked.

“I see that the Mansion Master is well aware of the happenings in our Netherworld Sect,” Baili Xukong replied.

“I have no interest in other powers, but I have no choice but to pay close attention to the Netherworld Sect. Why have you come today? Are you here to propose a partnership to deal with Chu Feng?” Jie Tianran asked.

“Chu Feng does have something we want, and he is a common enemy between us. However, I didn’t come here today for Chu Feng. I’m here to talk about the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect,” Baili Xukong said.

“The Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect?” Jie Tianran narrowed his eyes.

“Their remnant in the Bloodline Galaxy is currently in our hands,” Baili Xukong said.

“What about my people?” Jie Tianran’s eyes turned cold.

Baili Xukong opened his palm, revealing a sphere. The sphere contained a formation realm filled with many people—they were from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion. Those were the people whom Jie Tianran had sent to the Bloodline Galaxy to keep an eye on the remnant.

He’s returning my subordinates unharmed. At least he has some sincerity. Jie Tianran took the sphere before asking, “What do you want from us? Get to the point.”

“We need you to do something for us. Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with God’s Era. I know you’re determined to obtain God’s Era’s power, and you can be assured that our Netherworld Sect has no interest in that. We wish to awaken a place, and we need your help for it,” Baili Xukong said.

“What’s the place you want to awaken?” Jie Tianran asked.

“I’m afraid I can’t reveal it just yet,” Baili Xukong replied.

“What do I stand to gain?”

“We’ll present you with the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant.”

“Hah...” Jie Tianran scoffed. “The Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant has been lying dormant there all this while. You wouldn’t have been able to take it away if it could be activated, and there’s no point obtaining a remnant that can’t be activated.”

Baili Xukong laughed. “Does the Mansion Master not know that the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant has been activated?”

Jie Tianran narrowed his eyes.

He was, of course, aware of that. His men had been keeping a close eye on the remnant, and they reported its activation to him right away. However, the remnant had already disappeared by the time he arrived, and his subordinates were nowhere to be found.

“Looks like you already know.” Baili Xukong smiled. “The Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant is merely a token of our sincerity. We will compensate you handsomely after the deal is done.”

Baili Xukong stood up and took out an ancient box. He opened the ancient box, and a brilliant light shone from within.

Jie Tianran shot to his feet when he saw the item inside the box. His eyes reflected disbelief.

“This item is with the Netherworld Sect?” Jie Tianran exclaimed in shock.
