Chapter 6442: My Honor
Chapter 6442: My Honor
“Thank you, Lord Palace Master.” Tianjian Canhua bowed to the Palace Master.
The other members did the same, too.
Tianjian Canhua, in particular, was extremely excited, for she had gotten the biggest share of the Spirit God Clansmen’s power compared to the others, including the Palace Master.
“Canhua, I am getting old. You are the future of our Heavensword Sacred Palace.” The Palace Master supported Tianjian Canhua to her feet.
The Palace Master’s face suddenly lit up. Something was happening to the realm, and she was familiar with this change. Most likely, the Seven Stars Orbs had been formed.
She turned her eyes to the spirit formation gate and saw Chu Feng and the others inside. Not only was he unharmed, but there was also a rune imprint on his forehead that resembled those on Little Fishy, Wang Qiang, Bai Yunqing, and the others.
This affirmed her conjecture.
At the same time, the imprisoned Little Fishy and the others were freed.
Those inside the spirit formation gate couldn’t see the situation outside, so they were oblivious to the Heavensword Sacred Palace’s betrayal. They rushed to Chu Feng’s side and confirmed his condition before making their way out together.
As soon as they stepped out, they were stunned by what they saw.
“Run, Chu Feng!”
Many voices echoed at the same time. They came from Zhao Zhuyin, Ye Xiancheng, Little Fishy’s parents, and many others.
But they were immediately silenced. The Palace Master had sealed their mouths with her oppressive might.
“You’re too talkative,” the Palace Master snorted before turning to Chu Feng. “Young friend Chu Feng, it’s thanks to you that we have gathered the Seven Stars Orbs.”
But Chu Feng was in no mood to entertain her. He cast a sweeping gaze across the field and saw Eighth Zhao with a sword impaling his head, Ye Xiancheng with his lower body severed and was pinned to the ground, his parents who suffered a similar fate, and the emaciated Spirit God Clansmen.
He also noticed the divine aura shrouding the members of the Heavensword Sacred Palace. That divine aura clearly belonged to the Spirit God Clan.
“Are you behind this?” Chu Feng looked at the Palace Master and asked nonchalantly.
“I told Tianjian Canhua to try drawing the Lightning Flame Sword, but those people came after me right away. You can’t expect me not to retaliate, right?” the Palace Master replied.
“Rubbish! You wanted to monopolize the legacy! I’ll kill you!” Yuwen Yanri roared.
The members of the Divine Body Heavenly Mansion were only crushed to the ground, but he was still infuriated by that sight.
Little Fishy, Xianhai Shaoyu, and all the juniors standing alongside Chu Feng also flared with killing intent. None of them could retain their composure. But Chu Feng raised his hand to stop them as he continued staring coldly at the Palace Master.
The Palace Master was unfazed by Chu Feng’s cold stare. She turned to Yuwen Yanri and the others and smiled, “Calm down. Your clans are still safe because I have a high opinion of your talents. As long as you cooperate with us, I’ll ensure their safety. I’ll even share a portion of the Spirit God Clan’s powers with you. But this deal isn’t extended to Chu Feng.”
The Palace Master’s face suddenly turned cold as she directed her oppressive might toward Chu Feng and the others.
A mighty spirit power suddenly shrouded Chu Feng and the others, transporting them out of the realm and into a teleportation passageway. The same happened to the Immortal Sea Fish Clan, the Divine Body Heavenly Mansion, the Zhao Immortal Clan, the Ye Immortal Clan, and even the severely injured Ye Xiancheng.
But the Spirit God Clansmen weren’t transported.
It was the teleportation formation previously prepared by the Spirit God Clansmen. They had been holding onto it thus far, and now was the best chance to use it.
But the Spirit God Clansmen should have been in no shape to activate the teleportation formation; they must have paid a heavy price to activate it. The crowd could barely imagine what they had to fork out.
The thought of that made their faces grim.
Weng!
A gate suddenly opened beside Chu Feng. It was Eggy.
She had been reserving her means to protect Chu Feng, and she understood the hefty price she would have to pay if she wanted to bring down the Palace Master, but she couldn’t turn a blind eye to the situation anymore.
Whoosh!
Just as Eggy was about to walk out of the gate, formation chains suddenly sealed it off.
“What are you doing, Chu Feng? You said you’d let me leave freely. Are you breaking your promise? You bastard! Let me out. I’ll slaughter those beasts!”
Eggy was agitated, but she couldn’t break the chains.
“Are you going to abandon the Spirit God Clan? They aren’t dead yet! I can still save them!” she roared.
But Chu Feng ignored her. Thinking about the Spirit God Clansmen’s horrendous conditions made his eyes turn red. Even his lips quivered. “They said it’s their honor to sacrifice their lives for me, and they followed through with their words.”
“What?”
Chu Feng mumbled under his breath, but the others overheard him and were at a loss.
...
Whoosh!
Golden swords covered the sky above the square. There were a total of 1111 of them, and they were pointed at every Spirit God Clansmen.
The Palace Master personally held the blade aimed at Shen Hui. She understood what happened earlier, and she gnashed her teeth in anger. “I underestimated you, the Spirit God Clan. Are you that eager to die?”
She had only spared the Spirit God Clan because they still had value to them, but those wretches dared to activate the teleportation formation, allowing Chu Feng and the others to escape. How could she not be infuriated?
She was so furious that she decided to kill the Spirit God Clansmen right away, or else her anger couldn’t be quelled.
Shen Hui and the other Spirit God Clansmen didn’t even have the energy to stand. They kneeled on the floor with their heads slumped. They were in a worse condition than before. On top of being emaciated, their bodies had grown translucent.
Activating the teleportation formation had sapped the final sliver of their energy. Their bodies were ruined, and even their souls were on the brink of flickering out.
They wouldn’t last long even if not for the swords hanging above their heads.
Clang!
As the swords fell, Shen Hui and her clansmen closed their eyes as they geared themselves up for their imminent death.
But the swords never landed.
Instead, they heard a voice.
“You said it’s your honor to sacrifice yourselves for me. I see it as my honor to protect you.”
Shen Hui and the others were startled. It was Chu Feng’s voice, and it was accompanied with a thunderous boom!
