Chapter 6385: High Regard

Chapter 6385: High Regard

There should have been no way for Chu Feng to dodge the means of a rank two Heavenly Dragon World Spiritist. No matter how far away he was, it was only a matter of time before he was captured.

But Chu Feng flitted off with a harrumph, expanding the distance between him and Jie Mubai.

Astounded, Jie Mubai quickly withdrew his attack and plastered two talisman papers on his thighs. He formed a hand seal, and his thighs blazed with golden flames. These flames didn’t burn his clothes, but they greatly enhanced his movement speed.

Even so, Chu Feng still got further and further away from him. It didn’t take long for Chu Feng to disappear before his eyes.

Only Chu Feng’s mocking voice could be heard in his surroundings. “That isn’t much of a fortuitous encounter you have there.”

Jie Mubai clenched his jaws and stopped his pursuit, knowing he couldn’t catch up with Chu Feng. He finally understood why Jie Tianran struggled to deal with Chu Feng. The latter was indeed as slippery as an eel.

It turned out that Chu Feng could escape from him even without a teleportation formation.

...

“Elder, it’s thanks to your Divine Flitting that I could escape from him,” Chu Feng expressed his gratitude to the Divine Deer.

After raising his cultivation to rank nine True God level, his maximum speed with Divine Flitting surpassed that of a rank two Heavenly God level cultivator.

“He must have used some means to lock onto you. He’ll likely find you again soon. While you can outrun him with Divine Flitting, this won’t work in the long run. Using Divine Flitting takes too much of a toll on you,” the Divine Deer said.

“I’ll just have to take a step at a time. Maybe he’ll give up in due time,” Chu Feng replied.

“What about the location on the map? Are you going to give up on it?”

It would be extremely dangerous for Chu Feng to head to the location pinpointed by the tombstone realm. If Jie Mubai had truly locked onto him, it would only take moments for the other party to find him.

There was no chance for Chu Feng to claim the initiative there.

“Elder, would you believe me if I said that I don’t fear him? I just don’t want to waste too much time on someone unworthy,” Chu Feng said.

“What’s your plan?” the Divine Deer asked.

“It’ll be great if I can find a helper, but the chances are likely that Jie Mubai will head to the location straight. That means that I won’t make it in time even if I find a helper. Haa, perhaps the treasure is fated not to be mine.”

Chu Feng decided to give up on the treasure.

There was no lack of tombstones in the Immemorial Cemetery anyway. With his competency, there was no need to fuss over a fortuitous encounter. He could simply look for another suitable tombstone to work on.

Thus, he began looking for another tombstone realm.

He proceeded carefully, knowing Jie Mubai was tracking him. But no matter how he looked, he couldn’t find any lingering spirit power on him. He had also inspected the items he had received from Jie Mubai, but there were no tracking formations on them.

Jie Mubai did possess peculiar means, so it would be best for Chu Feng to keep his guard up.

Fortunately, Jie Mubai didn’t continue chasing him. Jie Mubai must have figured out that he couldn’t capture him, so he went to the location pinpointed on the map to obtain the fortuitous encounter instead.

“That is...?”

Chu Feng soon spotted several warships swiftly cruising through space. They flew the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s flags.

“The Huangfu Heavenly Clan is here. Chu Feng, do you think they’ll help you?” Eggy was even more excited than Chu Feng to see them.

They started on the wrong foot, but Chu Feng later solicited the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s help to deal with the Seven Realms Immortal Sect. In exchange, he helped Huangfu Shengyu make a breakthrough in his bloodline. They were on good terms now.

The Huangfu Heavenly Clan should have gone to the Fortuitous Bloodline Mountain too, but they were nowhere to be seen when Chu Feng arrived. They must have left in advance.

Chu Feng didn’t expect to bump into them here.

“Let me give it a try.”

Ultimately, he was still reluctant to hand the fortuitous encounter to Jie Mubai for free.

The Huangfu Heavenly Clan was not to be underestimated, and their clan chief was a rank three Heavenly God level cultivator. If they were willing to step in, Chu Feng would have no fear of Jie Mubai.

Thus, he constructed a formation to catch the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s attention. They were cruising at such a fast speed that it would be hard for Chu Feng to catch up with them even with Divine Flitting. Their clan chief must have been personally driving the warship.

Fortunately, Chu Feng’s formation quickly caught the attention of the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s warships. They turned around and flew toward where Chu Feng was.

Chu Feng revealed himself.

As the warship approached, several figures flitted out to meet him. Among them were familiar faces like Huangfu Zhantian, Huangfu Shengyu, and the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s Clan Chief, too.

“It really is you, Chu Feng. What a coincidence to bump into you in the massive Immemorial Cemetery!”

The Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen were overjoyed to see Chu Feng, especially Huangfu Zhantian. However, Chu Feng noticed the conflicted look in their eyes despite their delight.

“Chu Feng, are you alone?” Huangfu Shengyu asked.

“Yes, I am,” Chu Feng replied. “You seem to be in a rush. Did something happen?”

“It’s a long story. Do you have anything on hand right now? If not, why don’t you travel with us? We can at least look after each other,” Huangfu Shengyu said.

“I do have something up at the moment, but since you’re in a rush, why don’t we settle your problem first? Chu Feng said as he made his way toward the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s warship.

“We have bumped into some trouble, but it’s nothing major. You mentioned that you have something up. What is it? Is it something we can help you with?”

“Why don’t you tell me what it is first?” Chu Feng asked.

Huangfu Shengyu looked conflicted.

The impatient Huangfu Zhantian berated, “Stop being so wishy-washy. This is nothing to hide!”

Huang Zhantian sat down next to Chu Feng and asked, “Chu Feng, how are your ties with the Divine Body Sacred Mansion?”

“The Divine Body Sacred Mansion? Are you referring to the Divine Body Heavenly Mansion?” Chu Feng asked.

“Yes yes, the power that specializes in Divine Bodies,” Huangfu Zhantian replied.

“I have a friend there. We are on close terms,” Chu Feng replied.

“I see. Our elder found a fortuitous encounter in a tombstone realm, but there happened to be Divine Body Heavenly Mansion’s members there as well. We asked them to back off, but they refused to listen and even injured our elder. We’re heading there to deal with the matter,” Huangfu Zhantian said.

“Are there any casualties?” Chu Feng asked.

“None at all.” Huangfu Zhantian shook his head.

“Is the elder severely wounded?” Chu Feng probed on.

“It’s not severe, but it’s a matter of pride. We can’t appear weak, especially not in front of a present-era power,” Huangfu Zhantian said.

“I understand that, but since the damage isn’t severe, could you resolve this matter amicably on my account?” Chu Feng asked.

“Uh...” Both Huangfu Zhantian and Huangfu Shengyu dared not make that decision. They turned their heads to the clan chief.

The Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s Clan Chief laughed.

“We have heard you’re on close terms with someone from the Divine Body Heavenly Mansion, and we’re heading there to demand an explanation. We weren’t planning to do anything as long as they didn’t go overboard. Rest assured, Chu Feng. We have high regard for not just you but your friends, too,” the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s Clan Chief said.
