Chapter 1329 - 1326: Alone!?

Hearing Xuelian’s words full of murderous intent, Luo Feng remained silent. He wanted to kill the young man in blue; the other party wouldn’t survive the next moment. However, things hadn’t reached that point yet. Xuelian wanted to do this not so much to stand up for him but because she coveted the other party’s essence blood.

The four figures weaved through the mountains and forests, covering a dozen miles in a short time.

Occasionally, demon beasts without eyes blocked the way, and they were all slaughtered by the middle-aged spearman and the young man in blue. Perhaps wanting to show off, the young man in blue never gave Luo Feng a chance to take action. Every time a demon beast appeared, he would rush forward to kill it before Luo Feng, seemingly to mock him.

Luo Feng didn’t care about this. He originally didn’t want to reveal his identity. If it weren’t for wanting to know the whereabouts of the Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python, he wouldn’t have acted with the three of them. With the young man in blue taking the lead, he was happy to be idle.

Going a few more miles deep, the surrounding trees gradually grew taller and the middle-aged spearman leading the way suddenly slowed down, turning to Luo Feng, "It’s just ahead. There’s a fissure in the ground, and the Purple Heart Grass is at its deepest part, along with the Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python."

Luo Feng nodded, gazing into the distance. Actually, he sensed it even without the middle-aged spearman’s words.

A thousand meters above, a mass of demon Qi swirled, dense as ink, like dark clouds shrouding the dense forest. One could clearly feel the violent evil Qi within. The trees within the demon Qi’s area had already withered, creating a stark contrast with the vibrant scenery elsewhere.

"Such intense evil Qi."

Luo Feng was somewhat surprised. The intense evil Qi ahead was so thick that his soul power couldn’t penetrate it, no wonder Yao Xue and the others didn’t dare to go there.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

While speaking, the four concealed their auras, performing Qinggong to fly toward the demon cloud.

Soon, the ground fissure the middle-aged spearman mentioned appeared before Luo Feng’s eyes.

The fissure stretched for several miles. Looking down from the sky, it seemed like the whole earth was split in two. The entrance was widest, over a mile wide, narrowing further in, shaped like a wolf’s fang, with plenty of demon Qi lurking within.

"Such strong demon Qi! Master, if I could absorb all the essence blood of these demon beasts, my strength should recover to ninety percent!" Xuelian said excitedly.

Luo Feng was also somewhat delighted. It seemed that his decision to come here with the three was correct.

"This is it."

Standing in the void, hidden amidst flowing clouds like ghost shadows, the middle-aged spearman looked at the fissure and said, "I investigated before. Besides the Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python, there are quite a few other demon beasts inside, but none are of high level. Judging by the demon Qi, their strength is around level seven."

Luo Feng nodded, "Uncle Chen, what do you plan to do?"

Hearing Luo Feng call him Uncle Chen, the middle-aged spearman smiled faintly, his tone a bit more cordial, "That Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python, though formidable, can’t do much to me for a while. While I hold it off, miss, you go and steal the Purple Heart Grass."

"Alright, I’ll get the Purple Heart Grass as quickly as possible," Yao Xue nodded excitedly.

"And I?" the young man in blue eagerly asked, wanting to showcase himself.

"You and Feng Luo block the other demon beasts, giving the miss as much time as possible," the middle-aged spearman said.

"With him?"

The young man in blue glanced at Luo Feng, furrowed his brow slightly, and said indifferently, "Hope you won’t be a burden to me."

Luo Feng ignored the young man in blue and said, "No need to complicate things; you guys handle the Purple Heart Grass and the Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python, I’ll deal with the other demon beasts."

"By yourself?"

Yao Xue’s bright eyes showed surprise as she couldn’t help but advise, "Feng Luo, don’t push yourself too hard. I heard Uncle Chen say there are quite many demon beasts in that fissure."

"Don’t worry, I know my limits. Moreover, with someone guarding you, you can pick the Purple Heart Grass with peace of mind," Luo Feng said.

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged spearman nodded, "Feng Luo makes sense. Ming Yi, you protect the miss, and Feng Luo, the other demon beasts are yours. Just block them; once we get the Purple Heart Grass, we’ll leave immediately."

Luo Feng nodded.

The young man in blue liked to be in the spotlight, seeing everyone focusing on Luo Feng and ignoring him, he snorted coldly, "Easy to say, but demon beasts won’t give you face. Hope you can do what you said."

Luo Feng couldn’t be bothered to respond to him and just glanced down, "We’ve been spotted."

Though they had concealed their auras, demon beasts have an instinctive feel for fresh blood. At this moment, demon beasts were already gathering in the fissure below them.

Knowing it was urgent, the middle-aged spearman said, "Follow me, Moon Assault Across the Sky!"

With a cold shout, blue light surged from the middle-aged spearman’s body. With his spear in motion, his figure transformed into a streak of blue light across the sky, breaking through the layers of demon Qi, charging toward the depths of the fissure.

Luo Feng and the other two followed closely.

Roar! Roar...

Just as the four moved, endless roars erupted from the fissure, echoing like summer thunder, terrifyingly loud.

Amidst the roars, demon Qi pillars broke through the air, crashing against the blue spear aura, causing booming sounds. The entire fissure trembled, yet they couldn’t break the spear aura.

After flying two to three thousand meters forward, suddenly, a huge purple beam shot from above, cracking the earth and twisting the air in its path, seemingly dissolving space itself.

"Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python!"

The middle-aged spearman’s face changed drastically. He hurriedly stimulated Yuan Qi, twisting his body as the spear aura spun around, taking Luo Feng and the two others spiraling downward, dodging the purple beam.

Bang!

The spear aura landed on the ground, creating a large pit, and two demon beasts that couldn’t escape in time got crushed into bloody pulp.

Boom!

A loud noise came from afar. Luo Feng turned to look, seeing a massive hole, hundreds of meters wide, appearing on the right rock wall, with its edges smooth, everything within turned to nothingness.

"Is this a level nine demon beast?"

A hint of astonishment flashed in Luo Feng’s heart.

At this time, the middle-aged spearman spoke, "Miss, hurry and get the Purple Heart Grass, make it quick. This Purple Scale Cloud Eater Python is unusually powerful, I can only hold it off for a quarter of an hour at most."

After saying this, the middle-aged spearman leapt up, the blue flame igniting on his red-tasseled spear, shooting toward the giant shadow in the depths of the fissure.

"Feng Luo, be careful," Yao Qing reminded, not daring to delay, performing Qinggong to dart into the depths of the fissure.

The young man in blue gave Luo Feng a glance, "Hope you don’t die here."

Luo Feng replied coolly, "Even if you die, I won’t."

"Hmph!"

With a cold snort, the young man in blue turned and left.

Shaking his head, Luo Feng turned around, seeing the swarm of demon beasts attracted by the commotion just now. They surged forward like tides, most of them being level six or seven demon beasts, with few level eight ones among them.

Hundreds of demon beasts charging together raised a demon Qi that obscured the sky, darkening the sky so much that one couldn’t see their own hand. All that was visible were countless bloodthirsty red eyes in the darkness, strikingly terrifying.
