Martial Arts Overlord
Chapter 1128 - 1125: Girls Can’t Be Kept, Southern Forest Wilderness
These fiery figures are all manifestations of Evil Qi. The vitality on Yang Wanyi’s body has a deadly allure for them. Flames continually attempt to engulf Yang Wanyi, but they are immediately blocked by the golden flame robe, unable to get close, and can only hover around.
Although unable to approach, the shrill whistles emitted by hundreds of humanoid flames merge together like ghostly wails and wolf howls, sharp and ear-piercing, making one feel on the verge of madness, extremely terrifying.
If ordinary people were here and heard these sounds, they might lose their senses in an instant and go mad.
"These Evil Spirits can shake a Martial Artist’s mind, causing illusions, coupled with their own transformation from Evil Qi, containing extremely terrifying Fire Yuan Qi, it’s a great torment to a Martial Artist’s spirit and body. I never thought Waner could persist in cultivating here for two months..."
Looking at Yang Wanyi, Yang Dingtian’s expression was both gratified and touched.
Yang Wanyi’s cultivation technique is a Fire Series, cultivating in this Fire Yuan Qi-rich Red Shura Gorge is twice the result with half the effort.
However, the existence of Evil Spirits will bring her great pain during cultivation, especially their voices, directly affecting a Martial Artist’s mind. This mental training is even more agonizing than physical trials.
Yang Dingtian brought Yang Wanyi here to cultivate, initially worried whether she could persevere, but since arriving here, in two months’ time, Yang Wanyi hasn’t uttered a single complaint.
"It seems to be because of that Luo Feng boy..."
Yang Dingtian smiled faintly and shook his head.
He understands his daughter well. With Yang Wanyi’s talent, she should have already secured a place among the ten new dragons. Previously, Yang Wanyi wasn’t enthusiastic about cultivation, spending most of her time busy with business alliance matters. Yet in the past six months, she’s suddenly changed, working hard in cultivation.
Upon careful reflection, Yang Dingtian can only think of one possible reason: Luo Feng.
"Truly, girls grow up and won’t stay..."
Exhaling softly, Yang Dingtian gazed at Yang Wanyi surrounded by Evil Spirits, his eyes flickering, murmuring to himself:
"However, if you wish to chase Luo Feng, mere effort is far from enough..."
...
In a series of towering mountains, giant trees rise from the ground.
These massive trees are as thick as houses, more than a hundred zhang tall, their enormous canopies blocking out the sun entirely. In the deep forest, the frequent sounds of beast roars echo, making the whole mountain range tremble slightly, unsettling hearts.
Among the trees, mist—enduring year-long—lingers, some of which through the passage of time has even turned into miasma, permeating between the trees, even blocking light, evoking fear.
This is known as the infamous Southern Forest among the five territories.
Roar!
Suddenly, a terrifying howl soared into the sky, causing the branches and leaves within several miles to tremble and shiver from the sound.
Thud thud thud thud thud thud...
The ground shook as a gigantic shadow burst out from the dense forest.
The owner of the sound was a tiger-shaped Demon Beast nearly five meters tall.
The Demon Beast’s fur was fiery-red, a tail ablaze with dark red flames that, with a casual sweep, created a shocking charred crack on the ground; its blood-red pupils seemed to drip with blood, exuding an indescribable ferocity.
Though the giant tiger’s body was huge, it was extremely agile, leaping hundreds of meters with each bound. From a distance, it looked like a crimson flame shooting through the mountains and forests, incredibly fast.
"Damn it! Stop for me!"
A scolding voice rang out, and the galloping tiger immediately halted, crouching down and turning to look back, its fierce eyes becoming gentle and even somewhat flattering.
On the giant tiger sat a tall young man.
The young man had chiseled features and somewhat childish tiger eyes. He wore only a beast-skin drape, bare-chested, exposing muscle like rock, containing terrifying explosive power.
Bang!
With a leap, the young man flipped off the tiger’s back, crouching to the ground, pressing his ear against it to listen carefully, his expression tense.
Phew...
After a while, the young man didn’t hear any suspicious sounds and finally exhaled in relief.
Sitting upright, he glared at the giant tiger beside him:
"Xiaoyun, I know you’re happy to be out, and I’m happy too. But we’re sneaking out; if the tribe finds out, you can forget about strutting in the Hundred Nations Domain."
The crimson giant tiger opened its mouth to roar but was swept by the young man’s gaze, immediately drooping its head, letting out a soft whimper from its throat, pawing its nose, looking innocently at the young man.
"That’s better. Once we reach the Hundred Nations Domain, I’ll let you cause havoc. Even if you make a hole in the sky, I won’t care."
The young man waved his hand, flipped to sit on the tiger’s back, patting it, saying, "Alright, let’s continue on, remember, don’t make such a big commotion again."
"Hehe, planning to go to the Hundred Nations Domain after all."
Suddenly, a clear voice sounded in the forest.
Upon hearing the voice, the young man’s face changed.
The giant tiger stood immediately, ears twitching, blood-red pupils shooting fierce light, gazing towards the sky, letting out low growls from its throat, the flames on its tail raging up to ten meters high, terrifying heat causing wisps of black smoke to rise from the ground.
Swish!
A sudden squall arose, turning the already dim forest completely dark as a huge Demon Eagle descended from the sky.
The Demon Eagle was purple-black all over, with a single horn on its head where purple electric light flickered. Its wings spanned over a hundred meters, blocking out the sky, each flap stirring mini whirlwinds that shook the surrounding trees.
"Purple Lightning Unicorn Eagle... Yanmei, since you’re here, why still hide?"
The young man gazed at the Demon Eagle, intensely furrowing his brows, speaking.
Swish!
As soon as the words fell, a tall figure leaped down from the eagle’s back—a young woman.
The young woman bore a resemblance of six or seven to the young man, her features sharp and tough, showcasing a heroic strength. Her figure was exceedingly voluptuous, causing her beast-skin short skirt to bulge high, raising concern it might split.
The young woman was Yanmei, who once met Luo Feng in Red Mysterious City; the young man was her brother Yan Hu.
At the sight of Yanmei, the previously fierce giant tiger showed a hint of dread in its eyes, involuntarily stepping back.
"Brother, what are your plans at the Hundred Nations Domain? Even bringing Lieyun?" Yanmei glanced at the crimson giant tiger, raised her head, her bright eyes looking at Yan Hu, smiling amiably.
Yan Hu licked his lips, patting the tiger beneath him, and said:
"Who said I’m heading to the Hundred Nations Domain? I’m just taking Xiaoyun out to stretch because it’s bored cooped up in the tribe."
