Chapter 776: Chapter 387: Personnel Selection in Progress (Part 3)

"So, if we want to quickly establish the Divine Temples and Divine Statues and ensure all the various powers and the common people accept them, having the Royal Family’s policy support is ideal."

"Alright. I understand. I’ve pretty much wrapped up everything on my end anyway. I’ll get started on it." Zhou Zhendong stored everything inside his Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.

"Thank you for your hard work. Once all this is settled and the final lists are confirmed, I’ll need to head back and report as well," Luo Dingran said with a smile.

After Zhou Zhendong departed, Luo Dingran continued to handle the remaining details.

He had tasked Zhou Zhendong with the matter of the Divine Statues and Divine Temples because his status and frequent interactions with people from the various nations made him the most suitable choice.

Of course, there was a more important reason: if Zhou Zhendong handled this matter well, he would be qualified for a more significant position in the Immortal Realm in the future.

He had heard Cheng Zongyang mention the matter of the Divine Statues many times. Though he hadn’t been assigned the task himself, he knew it was extremely important to Cheng Zongyang.

He knew this because he had very rarely heard Cheng Zongyang repeat himself about any matter.

Based on the information he had received and the materials Cheng Zongyang had provided him, he was confident that his actions were correct.

’But there’s no need for me to take the credit.’

The recruitment of Immortal Officials, from its announcement to its conclusion, lasted for six months.

When Li Xuejin placed a complete list of names and the procedural documents for the recruitment on the conference room table, a new meeting began.

The main purpose of this meeting, chaired by Li Xuejin, was to report on the final results of the Immortal Official recruitment.

After the attendees listened to Li Xuejin’s complete report on the overall situation, he began his final summary.

"Based on the needs of the various departments, we have recruited 10,000 official Immortal Officials. We also have 40,000 reserve candidates, for a total of 50,000. The remaining 50,000 will be reserved for the Immortal Realm.

These 10,000 official recruits will be assigned by us. The 40,000 reserve candidates will be registered under the Immortal Martial Hall’s name and will then be allowed to develop on their own. Each month, they will receive a certain stipend of Points and Spirit Tickets, but no other benefits will be provided for the time being.

When we need official personnel, we will randomly select from among these 40,000 candidates, and they can be promoted to official status at any time.

Furthermore, their status will be listed as ’Immortal Official Reserve Members.’ This gives them an honorary title and a sense of belonging. All of these terms have been discussed with them, and no one had any objections. The detailed list of names and the entire recruitment process have been fully documented."

When he finished, Luo Dingran began to applaud, and the others quickly followed suit. The former said with a laugh, "The Lord himself often praises your talents, Mr. Li. To have single-handedly managed this entire grand recruitment event over the past six months and brought it to such a successful conclusion says it all."

"You’re too kind," Li Xuejin said with a cupped-fist salute.

"And what is the status of the other officials?" Luo Dingran continued.

"I’ll report on that," Zhou Zhendong said, raising his hand. "I took that task over from Mr. Li. After all, he was fully responsible for the Immortal Official recruitment and couldn’t be in two places at once. So, I handled it together with Zhang Chuchu, Cheng Zongliang, and the others."

"Alright. Give me the results," Luo Dingran said. He didn’t care who was responsible, only what the outcome was.

Zhou Zhendong summarized, "It went very smoothly. Everyone has agreed to join. They’ve all bound themselves to the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal and have spent the last six months transitioning out of their previous roles. They are ready to head to the Immortal Realm at a moment’s notice."

"Good," Luo Dingran said with a smile. "Excellent."

With that, he rose to his feet. "Now that the tasks assigned by the Lord are complete, I must return to the Immortal Realm and report to him. This will allow him to quickly finalize all the Immortal Official appointments. The Celestial Laws must also be reviewed, which will make it easier for all of you to proceed with the next stage of your duties. Over these past four years and more, I have been very grateful for the assistance of everyone present, and it has been my honor to work with you all."

As he spoke, he gave a cupped-fist salute to the assembly.

Seeing this, the others also rose to return the salute, responding almost in unison:

"Our thanks, Steward Luo!"

Luo Dingran straightened up and collected all the books and scrolls. "We all serve the Lord! Now then, I shall take my leave. I must trouble you all with the remaining matters."

And so, the group escorted Luo Dingran to the Transmission Channel.

Once Luo Dingran had departed, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.

They had been on edge for four years, but thankfully, everything was finally complete. All that remained was to wait for Cheng Zongyang to give the final word.
