Chapter 757: Chapter 379: Conception of the Immortal Official System, Part 3
It was like being granted a plot of land by the state; if you felt it wasn’t enough and wanted to go out and clear new territory, you were free to do so.
With the allocation system finalized, all that remained was to wait for the Ring Spirit to act in thirty days and transfer everyone over.
In Territory Two, seeing the updated rules and the official notice sent everyone’s minds into turmoil.
Many Cultivators were overjoyed about the land they were about to be allotted, and also intensely curious about the unknown Immortal Realm. Life here was far safer than in the Cultivation Immortality Realm, so they reasoned that being assigned to an Immortal Realm created by an Immortal would be even better than their current situation.
The more powerful Cultivators, on the other hand, were contemplating their own status and future development in the new environment.
As for the influential factions, some were scheming to secure more advantageous positions in the upcoming relocation. Others were discussing whether to venture beyond the city to stake out a mountain and establish their own headquarters.
Various factions were abuzz with discussion. Some saw it as an opportunity to reshuffle the deck, while others worried about losing their current advantages in the new environment. After all, over the past year, many factions had firmly established themselves and secured geographical advantages in their respective areas.
’And now, a complete reallocation in just thirty days?’
Meanwhile, in the outside world, the various Sects and top-tier powers of the Cultivation Immortality Realm were also plunged into deep contemplation upon seeing the announcement.
Some Major Sects began weighing the pros and cons, considering whether to send personnel into the Realm of Ten Thousand Races within the thirty-day window to explore the mysteries of the Immortal Realm.
Other top-tier powers were discussing how to cooperate with the factions inside the Realm of Ten Thousand Races to gain an upper hand in the future landscape.
The entire outer Cultivation Immortality Realm was now seething with undercurrents due to the announcement, as every power began preparing for the impending changes.
Thirty days. It wasn’t much time at all.
’If they don’t enter now, they might never get another chance. Furthermore, those precious exchangeable resources could be lost to them forever.’
The Five Great Immortal Sects were especially conflicted.
They possessed top-tier Spirit Veins and controlled an ever-increasing amount of resources, especially since the population of the Cultivation Immortality Realm had dwindled.
If they didn’t enter, they could still develop in the Cultivation Immortality Realm. But there was a clear ceiling to that path.
But if they did enter, the special status of the Five Great Immortal Sects would vanish. Rising Nine-Star and Eight-Star Influences could become their equals. This meant that in the future, the number of powerful Sects would only continue to grow.
Their supreme status would be leveled, and they would be forced back into the struggle for resources.
Was it better to be the tail of a phoenix over the head of a chicken, or to remain the head of a chicken rather than become the tail of a phoenix?
Faced with the new rules and the establishment of the Immortal Realm, different people had different considerations.
For those with ambition, who longed for a greater stage and more opportunities, they would likely lean toward being the "phoenix’s tail."
Even the greatest of geniuses, on a path with a clear ceiling, would ultimately stagnate and wait for death at the Nascent Soul Realm. This was a fate many young, talented disciples refused to accept.
In the Immortal Realm, even if one started in a relatively weak position, the environment and resources would likely be far richer, offering more opportunities for advancement.
They believed that being in an environment teeming with experts would constantly motivate them to improve, exposing them to more advanced Cultivation philosophies and techniques.
This was also true for factions that were strong but not at the very top. They felt that entering the great cities or Main Cities of the Immortal Realm, even if it meant being a mere "phoenix’s tail," would be a huge catalyst for their own development. The ability to interact and compete with numerous powerful factions was an incredible draw, and they would no longer be constrained by the major Sects.
However, others were more inclined to be the "head of a chicken." They were perhaps satisfied with their current status and accomplishments, unwilling to start over in a new, competitive environment and risk being marginalized. More importantly, they felt they lacked the aptitude to gain a competitive edge.
Likewise, for factions that already held some influence in their own corners of the world, staying in the Cultivation Immortality Realm meant they could remain their own masters, preserving their relative independence and control.
They could develop at their own pace without being run ragged by fierce competition. Furthermore, in their own small domain, they could fully exercise their leadership and bask in the glory and sense of accomplishment.
When it came to this choice, there was no absolute right or wrong. It all came down to an individual’s values and ambitions.
And so, the vast majority of disciples and clan members from the Five Great Immortal Sects and all the other factions were waiting.
Waiting for a stance.
If their Sect or family chose not to enter, then they would leave.
Only in the Realm of Ten Thousand Races was there a chance to continue growing, a chance to one day become an Immortal!
