Chapter 743: Chapter 373: Urgency; Designing the Immortal Realm

Everyone could see the grim look on Cheng Zongyang’s face, and the others didn’t dare to speak up.

"I’ll go first."

Seeing this, Zhou Zhendong stepped forward. "Boss," he said, "I’ve communicated with the Emperor of the Seven Kingdoms and the thirteen Clan Leaders of the Royal Families. They’ve agreed to fully assist with managing the population flow and will handle subsequent matters like official registration, land distribution, and resource allocation.

"However, they had only one condition: they want a mountain peak to establish a foothold in the Immortal City. I agreed, granting them a spot without the need for competition. If the Immortal City’s layout ever needs to be changed, we would have to reclaim the mountain, but I promised we would provide them with a new mountain peak with an equivalent Spirit Vein. They agreed to these terms."

Cheng Zongyang nodded. "That’s fine. The mountain peak isn’t an issue. As long as the population transfer is managed properly..."

After that, Cheng Zongyang continued listening as the others reported on various matters, mostly concerning the Immortal Mountain.

Everyone had handled their tasks well. He was just listening for a general overview so he could make adjustments if any major problems arose.

The final conclusion was singular: there wasn’t enough space.

In response, Cheng Zongyang simply stated that it wasn’t time to expand yet. That would be a discussion for later. However, he did instruct Wang Tianli to begin preliminary research for a second phase.

Finally, Cheng Zongyang announced, "Next, I will be entering a period of closed-door cultivation. All trips to the Cultivation Immortality Realm are on hold. Refund the ticket fees and tell everyone that I’m researching a Teleportation Array channel. When it’s done, they will be able to travel there on their own through the Transmission Channel."

Upon hearing this, everyone’s faces lit up with joy.

"Boss, is that channel in the room next door?" Cheng Zongwen asked.

Cheng Zongyang nodded. "Yes, but it will take time. Don’t seek me out unless it’s for a major issue."

"Yes, sir!" the group replied, cupping their fists in unison.

Cheng Zongyang immediately left the meeting hall. He went to the teleportation node next door, activated the Array, and began his closed-door cultivation.

Of course, his cultivation was primarily a cover for him to handle matters in the Cultivation Immortality Realm.

The appearance of the Three Talents Reversal Array had forced him to accelerate his plans once more.

Entering the eighth floor of the Hall of Ten Thousand Races, Cheng Zongyang prepared to establish a new set of rules.

This time, he was going to make everyone in the Cultivation Immortality Realm enter the Realm of Ten Thousand Races to accelerate the Ring Spirit’s advancement!

’The stronger the Ring Spirit becomes, the more feedback and assistance it can provide me!’

But the next question was: how could he convince all the ordinary people in the Cultivation Immortality Realm to willingly enter the Realm of Ten Thousand Races?

’Human nature dictates that to get them to enter willingly, I must tempt them with benefits.’

’What kind of benefit would be enough to make them all willing? It’s simple: Spirit Stones.’

Unlike Cultivators, ordinary people held the belief that one’s fortunes decline away from home. They were attached to their current homes, environments, and lands, and were unwilling to leave them behind.

Only when forced by dire circumstances—severe natural disasters or man-made calamities like droughts, wars, or plagues—would they abandon their homes and leave their native soil to seek survival elsewhere.

Cultivators and Martial Artists, on the other hand, would readily leave to pursue greater strength as long as there was a better place with superior Cultivation Resources.

Therefore, they weren’t his primary concern. His focus now was on solving the problem of the common people.

A larger population meant greater fortune, which was not only beneficial for the channel’s stability but also for the advancement of both him and the Ring Spirit.

The Ring Spirit needed the Power of Faith, as well as things like human corpses and Divine Souls, to empower the Realm of Ten Thousand Races and enhance its own Abilities. The two were mutually reinforcing.

However, his supply of Spirit Stones was finite. With such a massive population, this approach was not feasible.

Thanks to his previous promotional efforts, amplified by the Five Great Immortal Sects pushing the matter, more than half the population had already bound the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.

Now, he just needed to deal with the remainder.

After several days of deliberation, he decided to make a massive move.

Instead of worrying about how to arrange the people first, he would start by clearing out a vast expanse of land.

With more and more people arriving, the existing safe zone was still insufficient.

Thus, after consulting with the Ring Spirit, he decided to build new Immortal Cities.

For the Ring Spirit, creating them was as simple as having a thought.

He didn’t need to slavishly copy the style of the Cultivation Immortality Realm; he just needed to provide the space.

He also needed to consolidate everyone to prevent the population from becoming too scattered, while also ensuring that various improved functionalities were properly integrated. This meant a tiered system was necessary.

Having settled on the general direction, Cheng Zongyang began designing. But before he started, he increased the Point rewards for promoting the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal and created rewards specifically for ordinary people who relocated to settle in the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.

Next came the design of the new territory, which he named—the Ten Thousand Races Immortal Realm!

He began his design from the very top, meticulously drafting the blueprint for the first and most magnificent Immortal City: the Immortal Capital.

Cheng Zongyang placed this city at the very heart of his design. The Immortal Capital would be the most expansive of all, constructed in the shape of a bagua.

In the future, this Immortal Capital would serve as the base for top-tier individuals and the branch headquarters of major powers, rather than a place for entire clans to settle.

Even Demon Beasts that could speak or had taken human form, along with benign, transformed Heaven and Earth Spiritual Items, would have the chance to reside here.

At the very center of the Immortal Capital, he meticulously designed the Ninefold Immortal Palace. This complex would be fully functional, containing his personal Daoist temple, exclusive grounds for his family, the headquarters for his own faction, offices for Immortal Envoys, and more.

The second tier consisted of twelve Cultivation Immortality Main Cities. These cities would be home to the most powerful factions, forming the backbone of the Cultivation Immortality World.

The third tier consisted of eight Cultivation Immortality Cities attached to each Main City, for a total of ninety-six. They would accommodate the remaining, secondary powers and help build a clearly stratified Cultivation Immortality World within the greater Immortal Realm.

The fourth tier consisted of twelve Lingfan Cities subordinate to each Cultivation Immortality City. Lingfan Cities were the lowest tier, large cities similar to Zi’an County where Cultivators and mortals coexisted. This made for a total of one thousand one hundred fifty-two Lingfan Cities.

With a grand total of one thousand two hundred sixty-one cities, even the smallest Lingfan City would be larger than Zi’an County. It was more than enough space to accommodate the entire population of the Cultivation Immortality Realm.

Of course, the inhabitants of the Lingfan Cities could later establish villages and towns in the surrounding lands. These settlements would become homes for farmers, Hunters, and the like.

After that, Cheng Zongyang designed vast tracts of farmland, carefully sculpting the terrain to be flat and open, while also rationally managing the topography and water sources.

This would make it easier for ordinary people to clear and cultivate land in the future, providing greater security for their livelihoods and for the entire Immortal Realm’s foundational resources.

However, all these adjustments—moving mountains, filling seas, redirecting rivers, and altering local climates—would later consume a significant number of Points. Therefore, he had to plan everything meticulously before finalizing the design to avoid fickle policy-making, which would result in a massive waste of Points.

Day by day, Cheng Zongyang poured all his energy into designing this realm, constantly refining the layout of the Spirit Veins, the stratification based on Level, and the formulation of various rules.

’Since I’ve decided to do this, I must make it as perfect as possible,’ he thought. ’That way, I can avoid the trouble and effort of making repeated changes in the future.’

To brainstorm and gather a wide range of ideas, he not only had the Ring Spirit propose workable suggestions but also brought in Luo Dingran and others to consult.

He explained his Design Map and overall concepts to them in detail, and they, in turn, offered new suggestions and ideas. Cheng Zongyang then incorporated their valuable feedback to improve his design.

With constant additions and modifications, the area of the future Immortal Realm grew ever larger.

During the design process, he also gave full consideration to maritime matters to facilitate the future development of sea-based industries.

To this end, he carefully designed a number of Immortal Islands, each with its own unique characteristics. Some were wreathed in immortal qi and suitable for Cultivation; some were rich in resources, perfect for developing industries; and others were suitable for ordinary people to inhabit.

The functions of the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal had been mostly centralized. If new features were needed later, they could be added, truly achieving the convenience of traversing the world with a single Token.

Through all this meticulous planning, from the smallest detail of a commoner’s house to the grand design of the floating palaces in the Ninefold Immortal Palace, he had the Ring Spirit provide design templates.

Half a year passed slowly.

During this time, aside from his basic twelve hours of daily Cultivation, Cheng Zongyang dedicated the rest of his time to designing this grand Immortal Realm. Looking at the nearly complete maps, he could almost see the future prosperity of the realm.

However, completing the design was only the first step. The number of Points he would have to spend for the Ring Spirit to generate it all had yet to be calculated.
