Unexpectedly, after waiting for a long time, the initial sentence never came. Upon turning back to glance at the Fourth Shock, they noticed a face full of confusion:

“So, this poison was actually given to us by Su Mo?”

“This…”

The Second Jing didn’t expect the Fourth Shock to temporarily remember.

Immediately, with a slight pause, he softly said:

“It should be so.

“Other than him, there’s no one else it could be.

“It couldn’t possibly be, as Qu Zhongzhi mentioned, that the Third gave us the poison, could it?”

“Hmm…”

The Fourth Shock nodded:

“That makes sense, but what if it was him?”

“What are you trying to say?”

The Second Jing immediately turned back to look at the Fourth Shock.

The Fourth Shock spoke solemnly:

“The Third has been in Donghuang for many years.

“When he left, I hadn’t grown up yet, so there’s little I remember about him.

“I just know he’s quite powerful.

“Moreover, he’s proficient in the Yin Yang Immortal Order.

“Someone who has mastered the Yin Yang Immortal Order might not truly die even if they appear to have passed.

“Besides, there’s something else unexplained…”

“Qu Zhongzhi!”

The Second Jing quickly spoke out these three words before the Fourth Shock could.

The Fourth Shock nodded:

“As expected from the Second Jing, you’re right, it’s about Qu Zhongzhi.

“The fifth returned yesterday, and Su Mo arrived around the same time.

“So there’s a gap that remains empty.

“It’s the person who rescued Qu Zhongzhi from the dungeon.

“This person has deep knowledge of the place deep in the clouds.

“Moreover, they possess immense divine skills.

“In a short time, they could vastly improve Qu Zhongzhi’s Inner Strength.

“Today, Su Mo appears, and everything seems to align with him.

“But this issue, it’s inexplicable.

“Behind him, there seems to be a shadow, silently moving.”

“Is it the Third?”

The Second Jing furrowed his brow:

“But even so, that still doesn’t make sense.

“If it was the Third, why would he do this?”

The Fourth Shock shook his head:

“He’s been in Donghuang for decades, who knows what experiences he’s had, what he’s faced?

“What’s in his heart isn’t something others can fathom.

“Perhaps he secretly joined the Imperial Dao.

“Or maybe he befriended Su Mo, planning to help him overthrow our Jinglong Association.

“Moreover… way back when he left Xizhou, he might have already had plans.

“With all these possibilities, we can only wait until we find him to see how he explains it.”

The Second Jing looked at the Fourth Shock in surprise.

It seemed her intelligence had returned.

Not knowing how long this state would last.

He lightly sighed:

“I didn’t expect you’d be so insightful even if you forgot about these matters.”

“Precisely because I forgot, I’m not clouded by being involved.”

The Fourth Shock smiled slightly.

“Where do you think he might be now?”

The Second Jing tentatively asked.

The Fourth Shock glanced around, took another look at the First Shock’s corpse, and then stared blankly.

The Second Jing’s face showed a slight ripple of emotions.

He couldn’t help but look at the body in his arms, could it be…

This thought had just formed, when he heard the Fourth Shock exclaim:

“Why is the First Shock asleep?”

“…”

“Ah! He’s dead!

“Did you kill him?

“Are you looking to seize power?

“Are you going to kill me to silence me?”

Well then… this moment has passed.

The Second Jing lightly sighed:

“The First Shock wasn’t killed by me…”

“Then what is this place?”

“This is…”

Saying this casually while they arrived at the end of the passage.

The end opened into a hall.

In the midst of emptiness, it seemed uninhabited.

However, as the two brought the First Shock’s corpse here, it felt like there was nowhere to hide.

The Second Jing straightened his spine slightly.

Walking into the center of the hall.

Facing a stone gate ahead, he spoke solemnly:

“Disciple Zhuang Muqiu, as the contemporary Second Jing, earnestly requests a meeting with the predecessor First Shock.”

The sound echoed around the hall, reverberating continuously.

No response came.

After a long pause, he spoke once more:

“Disciple Zhuang Muqiu, earnestly requests a meeting with the predecessor First Shock!!

“Our Jinglong Association faces an unprecedented crisis in hundreds of years, please predecessor First Shock, grant us the Snake Sword Order to ensure the foundation of our Jinglong Association remains unbroken!!”

Saying this, he lifted his head.

Yet the door ahead remained unmoving.

His brows furrowed tightly.

In his ear, the Fourth Shock’s voice echoed:

“Could it be… closed, locked in?”

It was initially a closed isolation.

Locking in seems quite normal though…

The Second Jing looked at the Fourth Shock in surprise:

“You remember?”

Having said this, he realized and hurriedly said:

“Don’t speak nonsense…”

As soon as his words ended, a rumbling sound was heard.

The stone gate slowly opened ahead.

An aged figure stepped forward.

A gust accompanied him, stirring the entire hall.

The Second Jing’s heart tightened, immediately looking up.

They saw the predecessor First Shock, frail in stature, with flowing long sleeves.

Not the air of a sage, but nearing the end of life.

Yet as his steps lifted, he was already before the Second Jing.

How he maneuvered was unseeable.

As their eyes met, the predecessor First Shock softly spoke:

“Are you poisoned?”

“…A disciple was ambushed.”

“No harm done.”

With these four words, the old man reached out, an uncontainable force rushed like a storm through the Second Jing’s body.

In a mere blink, it had swept through.

A crackling sound was heard.

Streams of blood sprayed within the hall.

The Second Jing felt a lightness within as the poison was dispelled in an instant.

Yet the next moment, an extremely terrifying force suddenly enveloped the hall.

He couldn’t dare to speak the words of gratitude that were about to escape his lips.

He looked up to see the old man, staring blankly at the corpse in his arms.

His face showed no emotion, yet his eyes were filled with extreme sadness.

A cracking sound resounded.

The Second Jing then noticed that several Coiled Dragon Pillars within the hall were slowly crumbling under the pressure the old man unleashed.

He couldn’t help but speak quickly:

“Senior…”

“Ting’er.”

At the Second Jing’s words, the predecessor First Shock sighed deeply, reaching out to grasp the wrist of the First Shock.

But as his fingertip touched the wrist, his expression changed dramatically.

“You…”

With a single word, the First Shock suddenly opened his eyes wide.

His form surged, colliding fiercely with the predecessor First Shock’s chest.

This sudden change was impossible for the predecessor First Shock, despite his martial arts reaching an incredible level, to defend against.

The First Shock’s hands moved rapidly, sometimes forming fists, sometimes palms, sometimes making sword points, and within an instant, over thirty moves were unleashed, all landing on the old man’s chest.

And only then did the old man regain his footing.

With a sweep of his hands, a woosh sounded.

Two crashing sounds were heard, and the First Shock’s form flew backward, his two arms snapping with a crack.

Shards of bone and blood dripped onto the ground.

Yet his face was full of smiles:

“Old Ghost, how does it feel?”
