Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

Chapter 330 - 330: Ch 330: Calmness and Storm

As the situation here was becoming extremely dangerous, suddenly all the people present felt an incredibly terrifying pressure. Even Weiss felt that the sky was falling on her shoulder and she was actually having a hard time standing still.

But Weiss did not bend her knees to this. Even though it might be risky, she did not feel like bending her knees and submit to someone's intimidation when she was not even the actual target.

So with her powerful willpower and a grand knight level body, Weiss did manage to withstand the terrifying pressure without going on her knees. But most people were unable to, including Frank, Alexis, Taida and Toroda.

So in their group, only Weiss, Evan, Elise and Sakura managed to stay on their feet. It made sense that people with the strength of a grand knight or someone who had experienced this kind of pressure before would be able to handle themselves. But Sakura also managing was a clear sign that her talent was really extraordinary.

And Weiss also felt that this pressure had managed to actually stimulate her talent a fair bit. Now she was able to feel it a bit more clearly. But it looked like without a proper enviornment filled with mana, it was having a very hard time functioning.

...

Other than Weiss and her group, there were less than 10 people who were not in their knees and had managed to withstand the pressure. There was no doubt in Weiss's mind that all of them were powerful individuals.

But for the time being, Weiss did not care much about them. That was because even though Sakura had managed to withstand the pressure, she had taken some internal damage in the process. So Weiss first needed to give her some treatment.

So, while running her ancient force inside Sakura, Weiss kept her ears and eyes open and listened to what was happening. Everything was becoming more interesting and that was because the source of the terrifying pressure was about to speak.

And this source was obviously none other than the only rank 2 magus present here. It looked like he had became displeased with how the others were handling the situation and so he had released his presence to calm everyone down.

And the effect of this was immediate. Feeling his displeasure, all the people who were on the verge of fighting suddenly calmed down completely. It was clear that no one wanted to get on the wrong side of the strongest person present here.

After everything had calmed down, Allain gave everyone their orders from him. What Yolkin had said would be followed but the given book would be changed. Instead of what Yolkin was planning, the book that would be give would be prepared by Allain himself.

Allain was quite familiar with all three of the organisation so he definitely was qualified to write about the places. And as he had promised to be a completely neutral observer, no one was worried that he was going to make one side to look better than the others.

So just like that, the problem was solved in less than a minute. Not just that but Allain actually even handed the books immediately to Yolkin that he was talking about. It was actually absurd how quickly he was able to finish the book creation process.

So after this, for the time being, everyone was asked to leave this place and return tomorrow morning for the test. In the meantime, the magi apprentices would be busy preparing for the test and in creating a proper venue.

...

While watching evrything that was happening, Erisia just smirked. Finally it had been revealed which rank 2 magus was in charge of the ship. For some reason, this Allain bastard was hiding throughout the whole journey and had came out only now to show off and aurm farm.

But that was not a problem. Erisia could see why he had not shown himself much and was always in his quarters. It was because he was busy training.

This man had reached the rank of 2 not too long ago. And then he had immediately taken this long term task to earn some money and also too use this opportunity to go away from his enemies. And during this time, he was planning to stabilize his current realm before returning.

That was why, he was staying in his room meditating for as long as he could. But Erisia was able to see that he was still not done with his training and he was still a bit unstable.

This actually was the best case scenario for her. With her special item, killing someone who had just reached the rank of 2 should not be too hard. If it was any experience rank 2 magi in his place, then there was a possibility of them actually surviving the magic item.

But a just ascended rank 2 would most probably die. So now that the risk of making moves had became lesser, Erisia was planning to start moving.

As for the plan where all four of them were going to participate, they were going to wait for the third day. That way, there was no need for them to worry about taking anyone without the capability of using magic after the first round of testing was done.

So obviously Erisia was planning for the magi apprentices to do all the hard work and then she was going of take everything for herself. So for the for the time being, what she needed to do was to wait for the perfect time and also investigate some things on her own.

And she also needed to keep an eye on the rank 2 powerhouse. No matter what, he was definitely stronger than Erisia. So her being cautious was only natural.

...

As all the people left this small hidden realm following the path that he city lord had opened, some of the magi apprentices also did the same. They were here for work but as this was not anything serious, some wanted to see the outside world and the city. And they also wanted to have some fun time in the city.

And just like that, a few extremely important but troublesome individuals also came to the city just slightly behind Weiss and her team.
