Chapter 301 - 301: Ch 301: Secret Meeting of Magi

In a dark room, four individuals had gathered together for a discussion and all of them were covering themselves completely with black robes.

These were not any regular robes and instead were special ones. Anyone who was capable of using magic would be able to tell that these robes had an obscure enchantment added to it.

So none of the people here knew each others faces, genders or identities. The only thing they knew was the fact that all of them were a part of an organization called "The Shadow of the Hidden".

And all of them had gathered here for a special mission which they were assigned to by this powerful orginisations. So, all of them were having a little meeting before they were going to do the task.

The first one to speak had a voice filled with static sounds. It was very clearly fake. But that did not bother anyone as all of them had similar kind of voices.

"So, how is everyone's preprations going ? I am fully ready and only waiting for this ship to reach the world in question."

"Same for me. I was given this mission several months ago so I was able to make very thorough preparations."

"I am a bit behind but I am sure I will be done in less than a week's time. So there is no problem."

"As for me, I have a special mission that was given to me by the higher ups. So I will leave the main mission in you all's capable hands. As for my preparations, it is obviously completed.

Hearing this, the other three clicked their tongues in frustration. A mission that was directly from the higher ups was definitely going to be extremely rewarding. So all of them were jealous that this person was given this privilege.

But for this, the other three could only blame their own inadequacy. This person had gotten this mission definitely became he or she was capable enough to handle it. While the other three were judged to be incapable.

A peak first circle magus could try to activate a 2nd tier magic item but his total mana reserves would be barely enough to activate it. And with their lack of knowledge and mind, they would not be able to control it at all and would most likely die from this.

Then among the same tier of magic item, depending on the quality, they were divided into grades. It went from low grade, medium grade, high grade, superior grade and finally the legendary grade.

A higher grade item was more energy efficient, more powerful and activated faster, so it was better in any every possible way.

There were rumours that with how insanely energy efficient a legendary grade item was, a lower circle magus was capable of using it without any burden. If this was true, then that was truly terrifying.

But legendary grade items were so rare that let alone seeing one, these people here had never even heard any rumours about their existence. So for them, a high grade item was already terrifying enough.

Seeing this reaction, the magus was satisfied once more. So with a slightly cheerful voice, they started to explain what this item was.

"Fufufu, this here is called "Crimson Flare Bracelet". A magic item created by the Dawn Workshop. It is a second tier magic item of high grade."

Saying this much and enjoying everyone's attention, this magus continued in an even better mood.

"With the use of this item, the second circle spells of Flare Burst, Flame Ring Barrier and Wings of Fire could be used. And if all of us used this item together, we should be able activate it at least once."

All four of the people present here were rank 1 magi. So if that wanted to activate a tier 2 magic item, only teaming up with others was the way.

But all the magi here were extremely happy about this and were looking forward to getting an opportunity to use this item. That was because, for first circle magi like them, activiting a second circle spell, even if it was through an item, was a very big deal.

This item was given to this group as a form of assurance. Even if they faced some kind of danger, with this item, they would have a higher chance of survival.

So seeing that the mood of the whole room had improved quite a bit, the magus who had been controlling the conversation decided to remind everyone what their mission was.

"Even though all you had already been told about what you all need to do, allow me to give a reminder. We will make our move only when the selection process for the new blood is over.

We can kill the magi guarding the ship but not the people who had been selected. But using spells on them is allowed as long as it does not kill any of them. Remember that killing even one of them would be a grave offense and the offender would most probably be killed.

So we need to take all the new blood with us a to a nearby world with a great teleportation formation under the management of our great organization. And before leaving, we need to destroy the magic ship completely.

From our intel, this ship only had a first circle barrier. So we should be able to destroy it easily by ourselves. But if this had a hidden second circle barrier, then we would need to use the bracelet to do the deed. Understood ?"

Hearing the plan once more, everyone nodded their head. Seeing this, the magus in the centre was satisfied and ended this meeting. Then all of the used various spells to disappear from this room.

That was how this meeting came to an end with some terrible things been planned in it.
