Manda channeled a small amount of Battle Aura into the newly established source, then severed his mental control over the energy. He immediately turned to Kent and began giving instructions.

“Master, use your mental strength to guide the Battle Aura and make it circulate slowly. Then channel the magical elements your body absorbs into the source...”

With that, Manda began teaching Kent how to cultivate Battle Aura.

“This is easier than I expected!”

Following Manda’s instructions step by step, Kent couldn’t help wondering whether his undead knight was being a little too long-winded. Manda had barely finished explaining each step before Kent had already carried it out.

What delighted Kent even more was what he discovered next.

The soles of both his feet, along with more than a dozen acupoints in his lower legs, were frantically absorbing magical elements of every kind, without any discrimination between elemental types. Even the pores across the surface of his body were drawing in magical elements from all the different elemental systems.

These countless streams of magical energy traveled through his meridians, bones, and bloodstream before converging upon the Source of Battle Aura.

The source, which had originally been gray, now began radiating a dazzling spectrum of colors.

“Battle Aura projection? He’s already achieved Battle Aura projection in such a short time? And it’s red? Why is it red?”

“Green? Shouldn’t it be gray?”

“A Battle Aura barrier? That requires at least the fifth rank!”

“Gold? How can it possibly be gold? Doesn’t gold represent metal-element Battle Aura?”

Manda watched Kent anxiously, but the scene unfolding before his eyes soon left him utterly dumbfounded.

In an incredibly short time, several different colors of Battle Aura flashed across Kent’s body.

The color of Battle Aura was the key to identifying its elemental affinity. Yet what astonished Manda most was the speed at which Kent’s energy was transforming.

At first, a faint white haze appeared over Kent’s skin, the characteristic sign of Battle Aura projection.

Then, in the blink of an eye, the haze expanded into a brilliant cocoon of light that enveloped his entire body.

The cocoon shimmered with a multitude of colors, each one constantly shifting and changing into another.

“So, it really is all-elemental!”

Inside Kent’s Source of Battle Aura, energies belonging to different elemental systems clashed fiercely with one another, each struggling for dominance.

Yet as more and more magical elements poured into the source, the relentless influx of energy gradually overwhelmed the conflicting forces. Eventually, the various elemental energies merged into a single, silvery-white form, much like all-elemental magic power.

From the very beginning of his attempt to cultivate Battle Aura, Kent had suspected that, if he could successfully learn it at all, his Battle Aura would most likely possess all elemental affinities.

He hadn’t expected his guess to be correct.

This time, however, Kent wasn’t particularly surprised. He simply concentrated on maintaining control with his mental strength, calmly observing the transformations taking place within his Source of Battle Aura.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t make much sense of what he was seeing.

All he could perceive was a chaotic struggle among the different elemental energies.

“Silver Battle Aura!”

Manda was completely stunned.

Was this even humanly possible?

Kent had gone from possessing no Battle Aura whatsoever to producing the advanced silver-white variety in an astonishingly short period of time.

Only high-ranking warriors could normally transform their Battle Aura into such a color.

After observing the phenomenon for a while longer, Manda finally understood another astonishing fact: his master possessed an extraordinarily rare form of all-elemental Battle Aura, a talent that appeared perhaps once in ten thousand years.

All-elemental talent could be considered the strongest kind of talent imaginable.

Yet paradoxically, it could also be the weakest.

The reason was simple. Practitioners of all-elemental Battle Aura could wield different elemental energies to counter their opponents’ Battle Aura, giving them a tremendous advantage when fighting warriors of the same rank.

Unfortunately, advancing through the ranks with all-elemental Battle Aura was extraordinarily difficult.

Cultivation could take several times longer than it did for ordinary warriors, or even dozens of times longer in some cases. The higher one’s rank, the more difficult advancement became.

Manda’s memories even contained an example of a warrior who had cultivated four different elemental types of Battle Aura throughout his entire life, yet had never managed to advance beyond the fifth rank.

Although such a warrior might be virtually invincible among opponents of the same rank, an enemy one or two ranks higher would possess a decisive advantage in the quality of their Battle Aura.

Faced with such a predicament, Manda genuinely didn’t know whether he should congratulate his master or feel sorry for him.

After all, cultivating all-elemental Battle Aura was several times more difficult than cultivating four elemental types alone!

“Hahaha! Slash! Slash! Slash!”

Kent could feel that his Battle Aura had reached the sixth rank, and it had stopped advancing at the very peak of that rank.

He opened his eyes, planted his foot firmly on the ground, and unleashed a surge of powerful wind-element Battle Aura beneath his feet.

In an instant, his entire body shot out of the cave like a cannonball!

As he descended through the air, Kent pulled the greatsword out of his spatial ring and swung it three times with all his might, channeling a different element of Battle Aura into each strike: fire, metal, and light.

The first strike unleashed a blazing red sword arc infused with fire-element Battle Aura. When it slammed into the rock, the intense heat melted the stone beneath its edge.

The second strike, empowered by metal-element Battle Aura, shattered the rock into fine powder with sheer destructive force.

The third strike carried light-element Battle Aura. It sliced through the stone with such extraordinary sharpness that the resulting cut was astonishingly smooth, almost as though the surface had been polished.

“Hmm. Fire-element Battle Aura generates tremendous heat, enough to melt rock. Metal-element Battle Aura has the greatest destructive power, while light-element Battle Aura increases sharpness. Excellent! This is powerful!”

After examining the results, Kent nodded in satisfaction and began working out how he would use his different elemental affinities in actual combat.

He had already developed a plan.

For movement, he would rely on wind-element Battle Aura to maximize his agility.

For defense, he would use earth-, metal-, and water-element Battle Aura, choosing whichever was most suitable for the situation.

As for offense, that would depend on the circumstances.

There was a particular reason Kent had included water-element Battle Aura among his defensive options, though it was something only he himself knew.

Back on Earth, experiments had been conducted to compare how well different materials resisted bullets. Among the objects tested were mobile phones, books, buckets, and other everyday items.

The results had shown that water offered the greatest resistance to bullets.

A bullet could pierce straight through a mobile phone, while a thick stack of books measuring more than a foot across could still be penetrated. Yet when a bar of soap was placed inside a bucket of water, the bullet failed to pierce it.

Based on this observation, Kent reasoned that water-element Battle Aura should possess considerable defensive potential.

“Brother Kent, your magic is all-elemental too, isn’t it?”

Daphne had watched the entire process from beginning to end. She naturally understood that Kent’s Battle Aura possessed all elemental affinities, and she suddenly remembered that he had also demonstrated several different types of magic before.

Unable to contain her excitement, she asked him the question.

There wasn’t the slightest hint of jealousy in her voice.

“Hehe! What can I say? Your big brother is simply a genius. But you’re pretty clever yourself, little girl, to have figured out that my magic is all-elemental too!”

Kent sensed that the time limit of Manda’s summoning spell had finally expired. Manda had already returned to his own domain.

With that concern out of the way, Kent cheerfully explained the situation to Daphne, although his tone was undeniably smug.

“Hahaha! Brothers, do you realize what we’ve found? A place where we can build a city! We’re rich! We’re going to be rich!”

Just as Kent and Daphne finished talking, a burst of wild laughter suddenly echoed from somewhere in the distance.

“Split into groups of five and survey the area as quickly as possible! Find out just how large this place is. If you discover that humans are already living here, send up a signal immediately. Move!”

At first, Kent and Daphne were delighted.

They had finally encountered other humans!

But as they listened to the rest of the man’s words, their expressions gradually changed, and neither of them said another word.

Clearly, these people weren’t here with entirely good intentions.

“Boss! Boss! There’s a young dark elf girl here, along with a mage!”

Just as Kent and Daphne were preparing to move, a man dressed like a rogue suddenly appeared within Kent’s field of vision.

The moment he spotted the two of them, he immediately shouted at the top of his lungs to alert the others.

Judging by his movements and appearance, he was clearly the group’s scout, sent ahead to explore the area.
