Chapter 271 - Space Race ( Part 2 )
"I heard that they were about to launch their first human space exploration... It seems that they had a breakthrough creating a powerful engine involving both magic and technology... They have this ridiculous idea of landing on the moon."
Aaron said after considering the rumors he heard from his father.
"Haa~ That's impressive... However, I don't really have plans to launch my spaceship soon. I'm not competing against anyone..."
Ace answered as he couldn't really be bothered about their current plans right now. It was already enough for him to learn about their previous achievements with regards to their space exploration.
"Oh, are you telling that you're only waiting for something before you launch your spaceship? So you really build one already?"
"Yes... They can launch their spacecraft as much as they want. I don't have plans to interfere with them. Anyway, I'm more concerned about the Lucent Force. Can they really act like this?"
"Sigh~ It's not like that. A member of the clan just informed the organization and created exaggerated evidence about what you can do with the materials you recently acquired. Adding to the fact that your property has an incredible defense system, they probably thought that they have to get serious about investigating your property so this scout team was called to fulfill this mission. You know that the government wouldn't let anyone acquire too much firepower..."
The recent terrorist attack at Tanza City only strengthened their cause to control the circulation of firearms and mana artifacts in the country.
In all honesty, Wallace already has this "too much firepower", however, he was discreet about it as he was accumulating them silently and with incredible speed. After all, no one could guess the production speed that Avalon could do.
They were unaware of his Ravencroft Printers which could even create mana formations and arrays on their own. Aside from that, the numbers of these printers were only increasing almost every single day.
"Hmm... If you would like, I'll handle their accusations against you. I'll explain that you're not creating dangerous weapons or experiments and we'll just reveal that you were also constructing a spacecraft."
"Ugh... I don't understand. Wouldn't that cause more problems?"
"Maybe... But you have Yumi on your side. If she asks her grandma for help, then you'll easily get all the permissions you needed to build one. You can also ask for help from your master... Wait, he's not here yet... I guess you can ask your senior apprentice to get some additional protection."
"This... It's getting more complicated..."
Ace smiled wryly after hearing all these sudden plans. He just wanted to peacefully build his things but it seems that it was something impossible considering the nature of his creations.
After all, his technology was certainly something that would really attract people's attention.
"It's like this... If you announced your project to the public. The two clans would need to have second thoughts if they still wanted to mess with your plans. They would not be able to openly stop you once that happens and if they still try to sneakily sabotage you, they would have to deal with your various protections and you can do anything against them if you captured anyone..."
Ace took a deep breath after hearing Aaron's advice. He couldn't think of a better idea to deal with the situation. After all, Falcon's group was only here because of their mission given by the organization. It would also cause more problems if they just died here...
"Sigh~ Let's go with your plans..."
"Great! Now, would you let me see your spaceship... Is it something similar to the game? The one that the Dorssian Empire uses?"
Aaron seems to be excited and looking forward to it.
"Well, there are some similarities in it. I'll let you see it later. Just ensure that no more members of your Lucent Force would sneak around my place..."
Ace's only connection with Lucent Force was this person. Yumi may personally know some of the members of the Force but she can't influence the organization as a whole.
If showing his spaceship would gain the man's trust, then he didn't mind it since he knows that he already influenced this person's mind due to the game he created.
After their conversation, they returned to the cabin and Aaron handled everything.
A few moments passed and the group left together with Aaron while apologizing to Wallace due to the problems they created. It seems that the other guy who went with Aaron had also beaten them into sense while the two young men were outside the cabin.
Ace was unsure what he said to Falcon but it seems that the latter calmed down and became humble while speaking.
He also noticed that Yumi was pouting as she observes them leaving Wallace's place.
"What's on your mind?"
Ace asked as he was curious about this lady's current reaction.
"Mhm... I just felt that they got away far too easy... You should've demanded some things from them, you know?"
"Haha! I don't think there's something interesting I could get from them. I'm more curious about your superior... Can they really help with the permissions I need?"
"Yes. Don't worry about that. I'll handle that easily."
"Good... Aaron and I plan to announce my spaceship's creation after I got all the required permits..."
"Really?! That will be explosive news! I bet that the whole continent would celebrate on that..."
"Haha... Not really, since there will be someone else who'll first launch their spacecraft. Anyway, we will also wait until the two clans finished their spacecraft launch in the next two weeks."
"You really wanted them to launch their spacecraft first? I only needed two days to get all the necessary documents... So you can launch your Excellence a bit earlier..."
"No... I don't think it's a good idea. I'll let them launch it first. As I said, I don't really want to compete against them. They'll just think even more badly on me if I did that... Haha..."
Ace explained to Yumi who seems to be dissatisfied with his decision.

On that night, Ace worked hard to complete all the necessary things he had to do before his space launch he was planning to happen in a few weeks.
He can't just let it fly and be stationed somewhere on the moon alone. He had to fill the Excellence with various supply, automatons, mech frames, and others to start creating their Moon Base.
That's right. Ace was planning to create a Moon Base where he would station most of their spacecraft. After all, he was now planning to create more than a hundred small-size spacecraft and eight more mid-size spacecraft like Excellence with a length of about 360 meters.
His plan to create the 4-5 kilometer length spacecraft was initially planned to be created in this Moon Base once it was completed. However, it would be too difficult since Ace was still unsure how their magic technology to create the proper environment would work once they were on the Moon.
Anyway, now that Yumi would help him, he should be able to build this large-size spacecraft here on Earth in the near future.

Faraway from Tanza City, the people who planned to deal with Wallace's plan to create spacecraft received Falcon's report.
"The team from Lucent Force failed... However, we confirmed that he was truly hiding many things... Did you see the recorded video of those automatons?"
"Yes... Those automatons weren't simple... Even the Float Drive Systems that were used have exceptional flight stability. It's too impressive to be created by a kid."
"Hmm... Anyway, it seems that the kid was only starting to build his spacecraft. Our space launch would not be stopped anymore. Let's announce it to the public. Let everyone know that Gaia, made by Skywalker and Vermont clan, would be the first spacecraft to land on the moon!"
Two middle-aged men wearing business suits were meeting at the Dragon's Pavilion at the capital. The two were elders from the Skywalker and Vermont clan.
A few weeks ago, they had found out that the materials they needed to create more of their spacecraft were already purchased and delivered somewhere else.
They believed that their plan was leaked somehow and thus, some people were trying to monopolize the resources required to create their spacecraft...
"Hmph... Even if our plans may have leaked during these five years of spacecraft construction, they would surely take some time to create their own."
One of them confidently said as they continued to discuss their plans in the next two weeks.
