Magical Academy: Rise of the Supreme Magic Craftsman

Wallace now had a serious face as he appeared outside the doctor's room. 

He wasn't nervous now because one of the five convicts managed to get out of this room safely. The man was also the final person that Charles has treated. He wasn't exactly sure what happened inside but it seems that the doctor achieved something out of it.

That happened 3 days ago and only at this time did the Mage Doctor consolidated all his learning and tell him that he was ready. 

The door was unlocked as the old man was expecting Wallace to arrive.

As soon as he stepped in, Wallace saw the old man was freshly bath and have his eyes closed while sitting. He seems to be concentrating on what was about to come. 

Charles was waiting for Wallace and as he sensed his presence, he opened his eyes and smiled at him.

"You're here..."

"Do you need some more time?"

"I'm good..."

Wallace asked the old man and glanced around the room. He noticed that the previous room filled with various papers and bottles of some unknown substance was now clean like the room just had its cleaning service. It doesn't have a semblance to an office of a mage doctor at all.

"Are you sure that you've learned everything?" The young man just wanted to know more about the Secret Art. After all, he only understood a quarter of it. 

"Hoho~ I am... How about you, Wallace? Are you ready for this? Although it will not be very painful, it would still hurt and I'm not sure about your pain threshold. You can't just pass out once we started it..."

Charles only said it to remind Wallace but he was sure that with the kid's abundant life force, there wouldn't be a problem for him. 

Deep in his heart, he was even thinking whether the young man can actually endure three more operations of Flowing Spirit. This thought only passed briefly as it seems to be impossible to find such a perfect vessel. 

Up until now, he was still clueless about the method of creating this body.

His thoughts never passed to the point that it was actually his true body before. After all, it would be too preposterous to imagine such a thing happening. Even this mysterious Secret Art: Flowing Spirit can only tear a small part of soul and spirit and not move the complete soul at all. It would be akin to a deity if someone was capable of doing that. 

"When can we start?"

"Hmmm... We need a very safe place to conduct this..."

"Of course... Don't worry, this place is a lot safer than you can imagine..."

Charles thought momentarily and nodded. 

"Alright, I also discovered that the lesser mana in the surrounding place would be better. It would even be the best if there is no mana in the surrounding at all..."

"Why is that so?"

"Once I tear out a small part of your soul and spirit, it would be exposed to the world's external mana for about a second..."

Wallace still couldn't understand so kept silent. He also wanted to learn these things so he won't be ignorant of what he was about to undertake.

"The external mana and internal mana is different, I believe that you learned more about this when you started practicing the breathing technique of your Awakening of Thunder and Lightning..."

"Ohh... That's correct..."

"Mhmm... You can just imagine that there will be less than 1 percent of impurity on your soul and spirit if we do this right now in this unprotected room..."

"I see... Very well. So you just need a place with lesser mana..."

"I have made a magic formation to lessen the surrounding mana but I just asked you in case you have other options... I heard from Avalon that I can just ask you whenever I require some materials and arrangements for this project..."

"Yes, it's a good thing that you ask... Give me a few moments to arrange that..."

Wallace said as deep in his mind, he realized the similarity of how nuclear fission was being affected by mana. Luckily, Wallace has already researched this thing and managed to create a small field that could remove the invisible mana...

"Mhmm... I will wait for it."

Charles nodded satisfyingly, this kid was truly resourceful in his own way. 

Wallace quickly made arrangements with Avalon. 

The A.I. has been working on a machine that would supposedly extract energy from the Zen Coins that he has. The machine was similarly powered by the GH Drive that they got from his spaceship.

The GH Drive could harness the power of Aether and it could also do the same to other form of energies. 

The previous force field that he made to create a nuclear energy was too small for their project now so he had to maximize his GH Drive now. 

It didn't take long before he called out the doctor and proceed with their operation. 

"Right... How long would this last?"

"It shouldn't last that long... About six to twelve hours at most..."

"Very well... Avalon, take care of the things here as usual..."

[ Affirmative. ]

It felt like days had passed when Wallace lied down on a soft bed filled with magic formation he was unaware of. 

Beside him was his familiar previous body that didn't aged at all. 

As he has to stay awake, he had to ensure that his mind was constantly active whatever happens. 

He was staring at the ceiling of the room as there was nothing to do.

They were inside his workshop and from time to time, he was also feeling a bit of pain in his whole body.

He can see the mage doctor's eyes filled with burning blue light as he was fully utilizing his Spirit Arts... 

'I don't feel any discomfort aside from the acute pain. But it was nothing... Sigh~ Twelve hours, huh.. It feels like I've been here for three days already.'

There was a feeling that he couldn't properly describe, it wasn't really a discomfort and it felt like he was just broadening or expanding...

He couldn't tell at first but it was slowly getting clearer. It seems like he was getting bigger...

'Wait, is he trying to tear my spirit now... Urgh!'

"How was it? Any good news?"

"I can't reach him at the moment... I only reached Avalon..."

"Avalon?"

"Ah, no. I mean, answering service. The man might be busy at the moment. I told you that he hired some big shot in the medicine industry, right?"

"Oh... Then it must be important..." 

Yumi nodded to Hannah as they were still waiting for Wallace's go signal.

Yumi felt that their survival rate would actually increase if he came together with them at the rescue operation. 

She couldn't properly explain and what she only told to her friends was that it was her intuition working wonders.  

"Alright... I don't want something to happen with us as well... If he's useful as you've said, let's just wait for him."

Avalon has been recording everything. Although it was instructed not to put too much security due to the user's confidence in his vitality, it was an A.I. programmed to help its user and their safety was its top priority.

As soon as any life threatening situations happened, it would quickly assess the situation on how to best respond in the situation. 

Right now, it was constantly monitoring Wallace's heart rate and vitality through Veda's assistance.
