Chapter 1799 - 1332: Jealousy
"So the next target is to devour the World Snake and Dazzling Star."
In the Sky Garden Palace, Ash said, "These two targets are actually one and the same — only by defeating Dazzling Star and reclaiming her Supreme Holy Grail do I have a greater chance of dealing with the World Snake ending our world."
"Even if I don’t provoke Dazzling Star, she will definitely target me for the Supreme Holy Grail. The conflict between me and Dazzling Star is a struggle of interests, whereas with the World Snake, it’s a matter of life and death."
"Dazzling Star waits for me on the seventh layer of the Void Realm, and the World Snake is also on the seventh layer." Ash clasped his hands together, "All troublesome affairs will be resolved on the seventh layer of the Void Realm."
Weiser asked, "When shall we go?"
"The sooner the better, the longer we drag on, the stronger Dazzling Star becomes, and the World Snake will also grow stronger." Ash glanced at everyone, "But before that, I will first help you organize the Heavenly Kingdom, as my greatest advantage is being able to share your power. You are my strongest Void Wings."
Diya nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes! You’re right!"
"Because I participated in the End War, I temporarily shared some of Death Mad’s magic knowledge. Even though I’ve forgotten most of it, the remaining knowledge is enough to help me step into the Supreme Realm." Ash said, "I need a few days to digest this gift and convert it into my own strength."
Diya clenched her tiny fist, "Okay! Good luck!"
"If there’s nothing else to add, then let’s go rest." Ash stood up and said, "Today, I’ve reclaimed a Thousand Wishes and contained five Secret Realms, even I’m a bit tired. Being a Divine Lord is really not easy... You all better not stay up late researching magic, we have time for that later."
"Finally, we get to rest!" Diya jumped up with a ’zoom’, her eyes sparkling with excitement, "Yay!"
Ash smiled and reached out to ruffle Diya’s head, then turned to look at Sonia, "Sword Maiden, you accepted Death Mad’s gift, how is your swordsmanship realm...?"
"I haven’t reached the Supreme Domain," Sonia shook her head, "but I should be at the Divine Lord level, and I can skillfully use the Supreme Technique left by Sister Death Mad."
"Actually, I also have a part of Death Mad’s legacy, but it’s very fragmented. To sort it out, I’d probably need to discuss it with you all slowly."
"If it’s very complicated, we can postpone it; right now, constructing the Heavenly Kingdom will benefit us more."
"Speaking of which, has the Ancient Battlefield become smaller...?"
"Because the Ancient Battlefield shattered during the previous Heavenly War, the current Ancient Battlefield is something I reconstructed..."
Diya was following closely behind them, just about to join them for an exciting night when suddenly Weiser and Vishi simultaneously restrained the Witch on either side, taking her to another room.
"Mmm mmm mmm (let me go), mmm mmm mmm mmm (I want puff)!"
"Give a little consideration to the Sword Maiden." Weiser shook her head with a smile, "She performed so well today, she deserves a reward both emotionally and rationally, right, Vishi?"
Vishi didn’t respond, just silently held down the Witch’s hands and feet.
Weiser blinked, examining Vishi’s expression closely, and asked in a very uncertain tone, "Vishi, are you feeling embarrassed because you sneakily ate Ash’s meal at noon today?"
Vishi’s cheeks turned a faint shade of red, but she remained stubborn, "Can what happened between Ash and me be called stealing?"
"Eating a few bites before it’s served doesn’t count as stealing?"
"Mmm mmm mmm mmm (I want some too)!"
"I just remembered Sword Maiden’s expression at noon today." Vishi said softly, "Her first glance almost skinned me alive."
"Isn’t that normal?"
"It’s very normal, but then she restrained herself in the next second." Vishi shivered, "Honestly, I’m not afraid of her wanting to kill me; I even wanted to provoke her a little. But when she withdrew her killing intent... that’s when I immediately kicked Ash away."
The Witch, hearing this, stopped struggling and said muffled, "Mmm mmm mmm mmm (I’ll give it to her tonight)."
"Not just at noon; the Sword Maiden has been acting strange today... or rather, very obedient." Weiser said softly, "I think I know what’s on her mind... it’s one of her cute traits."
"In this regard, she’s a bit like Freyja."
Vishi was about to retort, but hesitated and suddenly chuckled, "She is indeed a bit like her."
...
...
Ash turned around, realizing no one was following him. After thinking for a moment, he closed the door and said, "Thank you."
"Thank me for what?" Sonia, sitting on the bed, asked.
"Of course, for stepping into Heaven to save me." Ash pulled out a bottle of chilled fruit juice from his Space Ring and poured two glasses, "If not, would it be thanking you for liking me? Of course, I want to thank you for that too..."
"I didn’t do much." Sonia looked down at her toes, "This time, I actually held you back."
"But isn’t the report you gave about relentlessly beating the Divine Lord?" Ash was shocked, "You’ve already learned to embellish the battle reports?"
"But we almost gave up on saving you." Sonia took the glass and drank a sip, speaking softly, "First, two days after you left, the team fell apart, and I, as the captain, was of no use at all. Then Freyja came with the diary to find us. Even though we all knew how good you were to us, no matter how much Freyja persuaded us, we were unwilling to save you..."
"You must be very angry. Those whom you care about most didn’t want to be associated with you; they didn’t even want to admit they liked you. It was Freyja, Siflin, even Felix, who were willing to try for you..."
Ash blinked, "But didn’t you all come to save me?"
"That’s because you’re too important to us, so much so that you’re a shadow in every part of our lives. We all tried hard to get over you, but we couldn’t." Sonia traced the rim of her glass with her finger, "Only Freyja, even after losing her memory, would immediately like you again. If destiny truly exists, then perhaps only she is your destiny."
"It was from then on that I finally understood I wasn’t the one who liked you the most." Sonia looked up at Ash, speaking calmly, "She forgetting you would cause her heartfelt pain; she lost her memory and would immediately fall in love with you again... Freyja is the one who likes you most. Don’t let her down."
Ash set down his glass, sat beside the Sword Maiden, and watched her for a while. Suddenly, he raised a finger and precisely poked—
Her nose tip.
"What are you doing!"
Sonia leaned back, but Ash pressed forward, forming an intimate offensive and defensive stance on the bed.
"Because it’s rare, I couldn’t help it." Ash pursed his lips, giggling, "It’s the first time I’ve seen you, the Sword Maiden, being jealous of someone else’s feelings for me, not their beauty, talent, or strength."
Given Ash’s overly smug expression, looking as if a tail would soon be wagging, Sonia quietly clenched her fists, "I’m not joking."
"I’m not joking either." Ash said sincerely, "But you are truly adorable."
