Chapter 925 - 924: Her Man Descends from the Sky

  • Next Chapter

The red-robed man became increasingly agitated.

Just a Blood Woman, and yet she could evade his attacks time and again.

Even the deep forest seemed to be conspiring against him; the rocks he pushed down were either blocked by tree trunks, tripped by dead branches, or inexplicably changed their course, never landing where he aimed.

As a mentor, was he truly powerless against a Blood Woman who couldn’t even step into the threshold of their world?

This was absolutely impossible.

The red-robed man took a deep breath, stopped attacking, and flew up to a treetop, sitting cross-legged and holding his breath, focusing his mind.

His palm faintly glowed red, condensing into a spark in the night, and as his breathing intensified, the spark grew into a fireball!

Down the mountain, Qin Xin was still racing along the winding road.

She couldn’t stop; she had to delay this man as much as possible, leading him deeper into the mountains, then find a way to escape.

Otherwise, this man would harm those around her, causing innocent people to suffer.

However, suddenly all attacks ceased.

No more sounds of falling boulders.

The night regained its silence.

Except for the hum of her car’s engine, there was no other noise.

Yet, Qin Xin did not feel at ease; she knew that this brief silence was just the prelude to a more terrifying attack, like the calm before a storm.

She released one hand and took out a handy tool from under the car seat, preparing for close combat.

But she never expected that this time, instead of pursuing or throwing rocks, the opponent shamelessly hurled a fireball at her.

A massive fireball, twice the size of her car, aimed to engulf her in a sea of fire.

This was no longer an attack that humans could accomplish; it exceeded all common knowledge.

Qin Xin watched as the firelight closed in on her, no matter how she accelerated or decelerated, the fireball seemed to possess spiritual power, able to alter its course according to her movements.

More terrifying was that when the trees in the forest tried to shield the fireball, they were ruthlessly burned!

The temperature at the center of the fireball was evident.

Qin Xin caught her breath.

"Swoosh—" She slammed the brakes.

With that damned thing following her, running further was meaningless; she’d either run out of gas or exhaust her strength.

The next moment, the fireball rushed in, "Boom—!" Sweeping over Qin Xin’s sports car.

The motor oil of the sports car was ignited by the fireball, exploded, and the firelight instantly grew three to four times larger.

Watching this scene unfold, the red-robed man on the mountain top finally smiled for the first time that night: "Later, I’ll bring your bones back for my pet to chew on, barbecue-flavored..."

Mid-laughter, a cold wind swept in, carrying a chilling force toward him.

The red-robed man cautiously tried to step back, but the force had already reached his forehead.

"Pfft—"

A small black iron arrow struck right between his eyebrows.

The skull, already cracked by Qin Xin’s scalpel, was now split in two by the black iron arrow.

He only felt his eyes suddenly parting, his vision becoming wide and strange, a dark chasm in the middle, yet close to 360-degree view on both sides.

Then he saw the owner of the black iron arrow—a helicopter hovering above Qin Xin’s exploded sports car, the man in the pilot’s seat holding a crossbow, aiming at him.

He couldn’t see the man’s expression through the night sky, but could feel an unusually deep, cold aura!

The Nalan Family’s mystical iron crossbow...

It really was as powerful as the legends said, no, even mightier.

With this thought drifting through his mind, the red-robed man’s consciousness extinguished, and his entire body fell from the treetop.
