Chapter 1011 - 1010: Chubby White Lotus

"Sister Xin, what’s wrong?"

The girl behind asked casually.

Qin Xin narrowed her eyes and looked at her bed.

Although she liked to laze in bed, she would fold her quilt every time she got up. Maybe it’s that little bit of obsessive cleanliness and compulsiveness common in surgeons; she folded her quilt in a fixed pattern, turning it into a special tofu block, somewhat similar to but different from the military training style.

But now, her quilt was not a tofu block; it was like a mushy piece of soft tofu.

Of course, anyone without this type of compulsion wouldn’t be able to see any difference.

"Who touched my quilt?" She said coldly.

The two girls behind her immediately raised their hands, "I didn’t touch it, Sister Xin, I went straight to help you with the barbecue right after school."

The dorm leader with a pancake face blushed a little, "I, I didn’t touch it either. I was also there eating barbecue."

However, the other two girls looked at her suspiciously, "But you came later. You wouldn’t have come to the dorm before, stealing our Sister Xin’s things, would you?"

Pancake face dorm leader, "I, I really didn’t!"

She had the idea to catch a snake to scare Qin Xin, but the problem was, she got sidetracked by the kebabs halfway and completely forgot about it.

Qin Xin said nothing and stepped forward.

The pancake face dorm leader suddenly followed nervously, grabbing her, "Don’t, don’t touch the quilt. It’s dangerous."

People tend to speak less harshly when they’ve eaten someone’s food.

After eating so many of Qin Xin’s kebabs, if she didn’t warn her now, she’d feel a bit guilty.

Qin Xin gave her a cool glance, "How is it dangerous?"

The dorm leader’s face turned as red as a liver, her mind in turmoil, but eventually, she said honestly, "Well... I’ve heard there are snakes and insects in the back hill. I’m afraid that while we were gone, a snake might have crept into the dorm; if it’s in your quilt, it could be troublesome. Snakes have spiritual power; if you get hurt, it’ll greatly diminish your power."

Qin Xin raised an eyebrow, "How do you know there’s a snake in my quilt?"

The dorm leader’s neck turned red too, "I-I just guessed because you said the quilt had been moved. Better safe than sorry, right..."

Qin Xin nodded and casually picked up a clothes hanger to lift the quilt.

Sure enough, underneath the quilt was a small ginger-yellow snake, coiled in a ball, sleeping soundly.

Its skin shimmered with beautiful fluorescence, and a single glistening... drop of saliva hung off its red tongue.

The other two girls screamed in fright, shivering and indignant, "Dorm leader, how thick-skinned of you, eating with us one moment and poisoning us the next, knowing the snake is venomous and still harming our Sister Xin!"

The dorm leader anxiously explained, "It really wasn’t me who put it there, I just told Sister Xin to be careful. Would I have said that if it was me?"

The other two girls, "Who knows if you’re just a sneaky, chubby white lotus crying thief!"

The dorm leader was almost crying with frustration, "I really didn’t! I swear, what do I have to do for you to believe me? Should I catch the snake myself? Let it bite me and lose my spiritual power, will that prove my innocence?"

She wiped her tears and inched towards Qin Xin’s bedside.

Even though she was terrified, trembling so that the fat on her chin quivered, she was still trying to prove her innocence.

Qin Xin watched coldly.

Just as the dorm leader’s chubby hand was about to grab the snake, Qin Xin said in a deep voice, "Back off. Don’t be stupid."

The dorm leader flinched, "But..."
