Qin Ling replied without lifting his head, “Gaming.”
“Oh.” Qin Hanqiu already expected it. He nodded and continued, “Quickly finish it. We’re eating in two minutes.”
The half-finished work wasn’t that challenging for Qin Ran. It was similar to the source code released by the Yungguan Consortium. She was almost done with it already.
She looked at Qin Ling and recalled something. She asked, “Should we make a copy?”
Qin Ling immediately took out a thumb drive from the room.
Cheng Juan took out four sets of utensils and started to arrange the table.
By the time the dishes were ready, Qin Ran was done with the program. She shut off the laptop and ejected the thumb drive before asking Qin Ling to return it to Qin Hanqiu’s workroom.
Qin Hanqiu prepared an entire table worth of dishes today. It had been a while since he was this happy after arriving in the capital.
Cheng Juan and he poured two cups of alcohol and started chatting.
As Qin Ran and Qin Ling didn’t drink, Qin Ling brought her to see his computer games after they were done eating.
“This is from Big Brother Cheng’s older sister.” Qin Ran gave him the game console that Cheng Wenru had prepared.
Qin Ling opened the present. It was a game that suited his age.
He toyed with the console for a while, before… completing the game.
It was fun, but it was too easy. After he completed the game, he was no longer interested in it.
Qin Ran switched on his computer in this period.
“How many have you completed?” asked Qin Ran, pointing to several icons.
Qin Ling lowered his head in embarrassment and replied in a low voice, “The first row.”
Each row had seven games. These were the upgraded versions of the enlightening games that Lu Zhixin got for her last time. Qin Ran then spent an afternoon with Lu Zhixin to upgrade them.
She gave him the games half a month ago. He took an average of around two days to complete a game. He was just nine years old, so his pace was within Qin Ran’s estimation.

Qin Ran then taught him some beginner guidelines while Cheng Juan and Qin Hanqiu continued to drink for an hour before packing up.
As she was present, Qin Hanqiu didn’t dare to drink too much.
They came out of the kitchen after packing the plates into the dishwasher.
As Qin Hanqiu emerged from the kitchen, he saw that Cheng Juan was looking at the folder Uncle Qiu gave him.
“Xiao Cheng, you understand these?” Qin Hanqiu asked as he removed the apron. He felt stressed as he looked towards Cheng Juan before remembering that he was a doctor.
He was traumatized by the education forced onto him.
Cheng Juan took a look at the document before answering. “I know a little.”
“Then help me with it please.” Qin Hanqiu’s eyes lit up as he placed the bunch of data that Uncle Qiu passed him onto the table.
Uncle Qiu wanted Qin Hanqiu to be independent as early as possible. He didn’t expect him to contribute much, he just wanted him to know enough to lead those under him. He was a bit too eager for results.
This caused Qin Hanqiu to have an incomplete understanding of everything.
Cheng Juan asked him for a pen and a piece of paper. He pushed the Qin family’s business proposal aside and started to analyze them for Qin Hanqiu.
The teachers that Uncle Qiu got for Qin Hanqiu were the best in the industry. Their analysis was sharp and accurate, but Qin Hanqiu could never fully comprehend them.
But when it came to Cheng Juan, Qin Hanqiu felt that the analysis was easier to understand.
The two of them discussed for three hours, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Qin Hanqiu felt that he could understand a bit better now and praised Cheng Juan. “Xiao Cheng, you’re so much better than the financial analysts. Aren’t you a doctor? How did you know all these?”
“My second major was Economics when I was in university,” Cheng Juan replied as he tidied up his sleeves.
“No wonder.” Qin Hanqiu nodded. He admired his capabilities even more.
At four-thirty, Qin Hanqiu went back to the kitchen. But Cheng Juan asked him to prepare less food.
After thinking for a while, he painstakingly removed some dishes.
He was really happy today and continued to ask Cheng Juan to drink more in the night.

At the same time.
In the Cheng Family house.
It was mid-autumn. Half of the Cheng family were gathered together.
Old Master Cheng was sitting at the meeting table, and the younger generations toasted him one at a time. He was wearing a purple Tang suit, giving him a strict and formal aura.
Cheng Raohan took a look at the people in the living room and asked with some unhappiness, “Dad, is Third Bro not coming back?”
He knew that Cheng Juan was in the capital.
“He must have something up. Big Brother, why are you so impatient?” Cheng Wenru replied nonchalantly, holding a glass.
The Cheng family had a huge business. Old Master Cheng had three children, but there was only one head of the family. Other than Cheng Juan, who was uninterested in the position, the rest were fighting for it.
After hearing that, Cheng Raohan smiled. He took a look at Cheng Wenru and nonchalantly replied, “I heard that Second Sister has withdrawn all the working capital of your company to win the bid for the Yunguang Consortium. You must be really confident.”
Yunguang Consortium was one of the Big Five in Asia. A simple corporation from the capital couldn’t compare to it.
Ever since they entered the capital, they had implemented three large policies. Everyone was looking to establish some working relationship with them. So long as someone could establish this connection, no other corporation would dare to mess with them.
After all, it would be suicidal to compete in finance terms with the Big Five.
“Big Brother must be joking,” Cheng Wenru replied coolly.
After the meal.
Cheng Raohan returned to his ward. His subordinates were waiting for him. When they saw him approaching, they all stood up.
“Young Master, we have sent someone to monitor the situation at the base. As of right now, two are waiting to transfer back here. We can consider roping them in,” one of them said while holding a name list, bowing.
Cheng Raohan took a seat. As he held up a cup of tea, he replied, “Which two?”
“Cheng Qingyu. He belongs to the Old Master. He hasn’t announced his allegiance. Also, Shi Liming. His background seems alright, and the Second Lady didn’t send anyone to contact him yet,” his subordinate replied.
Cheng Raohan nodded lightly and asked, “Has the Second Lady done anything recently?”
“Other than going to the Yunguang Consortium, she has been visiting the Third Young Master. Also, she has gotten a computer for Miss Qin, paying a great price for it…” the subordinate replied. “Is it possible for the Young Lady to successfully bid for it? Regarding Miss Qin, should we…”
Cheng Raohan frowned. He thought for a moment before saying, “No need for that. Put more effort into Cheng Qingyu.”
**
One day after the mid-autumn festival.
Those that were supposed to work were going to work.
In Yunjin District.
With Cheng Juan’s assistance, Qin Hanqiu could understand a lot better. He was almost done with the proposals that Uncle Qiu gave.
In the process of understanding the proposals, he would seek help from Cheng Juan.
The content that was meant for two days of work was completed within a day’s work.
As he had some spare time now, Qin Hanqiu started to look at the thumb drive that Uncle Qiu gave him.
Uncle Qiu gave him something of a similar nature before, so Qin Hanqiu thought that it would be similar to the introductory programs that he had dealt with before.
However, when he opened the program, it was filled with a bunch of mathematical symbols that he couldn’t understand. He spent an entire morning trying to understand it to no avail.
In the afternoon, Uncle Qiu and the middle-aged man arrived as promised.
Qin Hanqiu opened the door for them.
“You’re done with the documents?” Uncle Qiu was shocked to see that the computer and thumb drive were on the table.
Qin Hanqiu nodded and carefully answered, “Yes, Uncle Qiu.”
Uncle Qiu was surprised. He took the two proposals that Qin Hanqiu handed him and started reading them. Then, his expression turned serious.
When Uncle Qiu finished reading the proposals, he walked around Qin Hanqiu in confusion. He then asked him a series of questions, which were answered adequately.
“After a period of absence, one may have changed for the better.” A smile appeared on Uncle Qiu’s face; it was the first time this happened. “Second Master, you have improved tremendously.”
It was as though he was enlightened.
Qin Hanqiu quickly waved his hands and embarrassedly replied, “Xiao Cheng taught me all these.”
“Xiao Cheng?” Uncle Qiu asked after hearing a foreign name.
“He’s a doctor, but when he was in university, he studied Economics,” Qin Hanqiu smilingly replied.
Uncle Qiu nodded. He was interested in “Xiao Cheng.” He could tell that he had a sharp business sense. It would be a pity if he remained as a doctor. “The next time you meet him, you can invite him to work for the Qin Family.”
“I’ll ask,” Qin Hanqiu replied. As he nodded, he took a mental note to send Cheng Juan a message after Uncle Qiu left.
Qin Ling heard this as he came out for water and looked at Qin Hanqiu.
“But I couldn’t do the program.” Qin Hanqiu didn’t notice the look Qin Ling was giving him. “I cannot understand it at all.”
“It’s alright,” Uncle Qiu replied as he picked up the thumb drive on the table. “It was the wrong thumb drive. It’s a big project from the company, and it’s just a half-completed product. Our development team is still in the works to finish it. I have to bring it to the Qin family headquarters later.”
As he spoke, Uncle Qiu started frowning.
Old Master’s programmers had all defected to Fourth Master’s Ouyang family, so there was no one that they could use. The fourth Master couldn’t settle the complex programming engine and just wanted to make things difficult for Uncle Qiu.
Hence, Uncle Qiu didn’t panic when he left the thumb drive here. There was nothing they could do even if he brought it back. They would have to continue giving up shares in the company, and soon, there would be a tough battle to fight.
