Chapter 425 - 398: Extreme Elemental Power
Faced with such an exceptional group, he knew he couldn’t win them over without showing his true abilities.
So, Ronin chose to reveal his strength.
“From Magic Master to Legendary within ten years?”
Sophia gave a wry smile at Ronin’s confidence. “Young people are so full of themselves. The Crescent Continent has geniuses like you, but even they don’t become Legendary until they’re around forty. In ten years, you’ll only be twenty-nine…”
As she spoke, she shook her head.
“With your talent, I suggest you cultivate both your Magic Power and Fighting Qi to the Ninth Level Peak simultaneously. That way, you can generate the Extreme Element of Magic and the Extreme Element of Battle in one fell swoop, which will make you much more powerful in the future.”
“If you only care about speed and rush to become Legendary, you’ll be wasting such incredible talent!”
Her words immediately caught Ronin’s attention.
He had learned about Extreme Elemental Power from Bellora, but he never knew that possessing two of them would make a person even stronger.
“What’s the benefit of producing two kinds of Extreme Elemental Power at the same time?”
Sophia was puzzled. “You don’t know?”
But as soon as the words left her mouth, she realized the reason.
’The Star Continent doesn’t even have any Legendary experts. How would Ronin know about Extreme Elemental Power?’
“Extreme Elemental Power is a special kind of power. Once it appears in your body, it means you hold the key to becoming Legendary. When you possess both the Extreme Element of Battle and the Extreme Element of Magic, you have two different keys. You can open two treasure vaults and claim two treasures.”
Ronin asked in confusion, “What treasures?”
“Treasures bestowed by the world.”
Sophia explained, “When one becomes Legendary, they are imprinted with a Plane Seal. This seal strengthens your Spiritual Power, Fighting Qi, and your physical body. The number of times you receive this strengthening is tied to your Extreme Elemental Power.”
Ronin understood.
When a Mage only has the Extreme Element of Magic, they only get strengthened once. The same goes for a Knight.
But when a Magic and Martial Dual Cultivator obtains both the Extreme Element of Battle and the Extreme Element of Magic, they are strengthened twice.
So, even among those at the Legendary level, there was a huge difference right from the start.
“And that’s not all.”
Since she had already started, Sophia decided to elaborate.
“A Legendary Knight devours the Plane Seal within their Sea of Qi, while a Legendary Mage devours the one in their Mana Space. Upon devouring it, the world bestows its mighty will upon them, strengthening the Knight or Mage once more. This in turn allows them to ignite their Fire of the Soul and become a Sage.”
She held up two fingers. “You have two seals, so you can receive two blessings.”
Ronin understood.
The benefits were continuous.
’So, anyone truly pursuing power would likely cultivate both Fighting Qi and Magic to the Ninth Level Peak, making them resonate to produce both types of Extreme Elements.’
“To produce two types of Extreme Elements within ten years is just too difficult!”
Sophia steered the conversation back to the original point. “However, I do believe you have what it takes to become Legendary. Perhaps I will need your help in the future.”
“Thank you for your guidance, Sophia. I now have a more detailed understanding of the cultivation paths for Knights and Mages.”
Ronin said with a smile, “But I still firmly believe that I can reach the Legendary Level with the Power of Dual Polarity in less than ten years. And if I have your help, it will take even less time.”
Sophia furrowed her brow in thought.
’If Ronin can really do it, then cooperating with him wouldn’t be a problem.’
’We could even use this time to unify the Star Continent. At the very least, it would prevent a situation where people from the Oduin Kingdom go to help on the Crescent Continent, only to have their homeland destroyed by enemies from behind.’
“If we cooperate, what would you need from me?” she asked.
Ronin’s eyes lit up. ’This looks very promising!’
“I need Uncle Simon to help me build warships. We’ll need them whether we’re fighting enemies here or returning to the Crescent Continent in the future.”
Sophia secretly nodded. Ronin had a point, and Wubei Port did seem like a convenient location for it.
Ronin continued, “In addition, I’ll likely need your help in many areas: developing my territory, leading troops, researching potions, and so forth!”
’They were all reasonable and sound requests.’
Sophia wasn’t opposed.
“And what will you offer in return?” she asked.
“I will provide you with land, compensation, and various accommodations here.”
Sophia shook her head. “I don’t need any of those things.”
“Of course!”
Ronin said, “The day I become Legendary, I will take my subordinates with you back to the Crescent Continent and eliminate the Demon God.”
“I forgot to mention, besides Elron, the Eighth-level Mage, my followers also include a Silver Moon Knight, a Proud Sun Knight, and a Giant Dragon that’s about to reach the Seventh-level.”
Sophia studied Ronin intently.
’If this continent truly has so few Proud Sun Knights, then a man like Ronin with such a force at his command would never be content with just being a Count.’
’Forget the Tricia Kingdom; even the Oduin Kingdom might be swallowed up by then.’
’Oh, that’s right, he’s the King’s son-in-law. In a way, that gives him a claim to the throne.’
’If he became the ruler of the Star Continent and was willing to use the entire continent’s power to help the Crescent Continent eliminate the Demon God, that would be an excellent outcome.’
“I will consider it.”
Sophia said after a moment of thought, “If possible, I’d still prefer it if you took us to the Royal Capital. I want to see for myself what this place and its people are really like.”
’Her main reason was to see if it was really true—as both Ronin and her intelligence reports had claimed—that there were no Legendary masters here.’
“Of course. It would be my honor!”
Ronin did not refuse.
’If he were in her shoes, he certainly wouldn’t settle things based on one person’s side of the story either.’
Next, Sophia asked Ronin about the political landscape of the Star Continent.
Ronin shared what he knew, explaining the general situation regarding the various kingdoms, duchies, and territories.
Sophia found it hard to believe. On the Crescent Continent, the people had formed an alliance to resist the Demon God’s invasion.
Yet here on the Star Continent, with no Demon God to unite them, they had been fighting among themselves for so long that they had even forgotten their own history.
She couldn’t help but shake her head and sigh inwardly. ’Without a powerful common enemy, humans become their own worst enemy.’
’There’s a lot of truth to that saying.’
The two of them talked for a long time, and the atmosphere was quite amicable.
Ronin also had Gallon inform the kitchen that the castle would be holding a banquet for their distinguished guests that evening.
Early the next morning, Ronin went to Wubei Port.
Checking on the port’s construction progress was only one of his goals. His main purpose was to see what the ships from across the sea were actually like.
“The main frame is actually made of iron!”
Ronin knew at a glance that this ship was no simple vessel.
Just from the outside, he could tell this ship was definitely superior to the ones produced on Screaming Island.
If the Wubei Territory could also be equipped with such ships, it could definitely become the ruler of the seas in the future.
Ronin thought to himself, ’I can’t let a talent like Uncle Simon slip away!’
