Lord: Stripped of My Inheritance from the Start

Chapter 352 - 346: Burst Potion Successfully Developed

A Giant Dragon soared high in the sky.

As a member of the Dragon Race, Carlos’s growth period was exceptionally long, but its strength couldn’t be judged by its Level alone.

Since leaving the cave that had imprisoned it, Carlos had spent half a year living in complete freedom.

With full meals and peaceful nights, its Level hadn’t progressed much, but it had grown a bit larger. Including its tail, it was now estimated to be about ten meters long.

’I wonder just how big this creature will eventually get.’

Carlos had already flown the route from Wushan Castle to Swamp Town several times. Flying at full speed, it landed at Swamp Castle in just over an hour.

As the most convenient town for connecting the Wubei Territory with the outside world, Swamp Town had now become the hub linking the outside world with the rear towns of Mountain Forest, Sanfang, and Black Earth.

Elron, who oversaw the Wubei Territory, resided in Swamp Castle. Others, such as Wilson, Chahar, Gallon, and Bella, had all moved here as well.

Compared to his last visit, Ronin noticed that Swamp Castle was much busier. He saw many new servants bustling about in the courtyard. Some were tending to the landscape plants, others were repairing the roof, and still others were cleaning out the drainage ditches.

“Gallon.”

Ever since Chahar had become the Finance Officer, the position of castle steward had been taken over by Gallon, his former personal valet.

Over the past few months, he had learned a great deal from Chahar and was gradually mastering the duties of a steward.

His only slight regret was that the Lord was constantly away from home, which made his own life somewhat dull.

Hearing the familiar voice, Gallon shuddered. He whipped his head around and saw that imposing figure walking toward him.

“My lord, you’ve finally returned!”

The joyous cry made the busy servants nearby stop their work. They all turned to look at Ronin. As new castle servants, this was the first time they had seen the master of the Wubei Territory, and they felt a little timid.

“What are you all gawking for? Greet the lord!” Gallon barked.

As if waking from a dream, the servants immediately offered their respectful greetings.

Ronin smiled and greeted them back. “What are you all working on?”

Gallon chuckled. “Swamp Castle hasn’t been renovated in a long time. I figured you’d be back before the end of the year, so I arranged for them to give the castle a major overhaul. I just didn’t expect you to return before we were finished.”

Ronin nodded.

’As the only presentable castle I have in the Wubei Territory, it really does need a good repair.’

“Carry on, everyone. And be careful.”

Ronin added, “Gallon, go inform Elron, Wilson, and Chahar. Tell the three of them to come see me.”

“Yes, my lord!”

Ronin went straight back to his study.

Although he had been away for some time, the study was still spotless, clearly cleaned every day.

With the Lord’s return, the castle servants seemed to have found their backbone, and the atmosphere was much more lively than before.

Since Elron was already in the castle, he was the first to arrive at the study.

“By the Light, my lord, you’ve finally returned!”

“It’s been a while, my Great Physician. Your power has improved considerably!”

Elron’s current Cultivation progress as a Mage was at (2090/3500). If not for being limited by Ronin’s Level, he could have already broken through using an Energy Essence.

Next, Elron reported on the recent research progress in Magic Potion and Herbalism. Since they had recently established cooperation with outside suppliers, they were able to purchase many materials, so progress in both areas was good.

“My lord, this is the Burst Potion I recently succeeded in creating. Heh heh, it took a lot of effort and Gold Coins to purchase the blood of a Sixth-level Magical Beast.”

Ronin’s eyes lit up.

Back when they first entered Giant Stone City, Elron had wanted to create this potion.

Unfortunately, Carlos’s blood was too potent to be neutralized, and lacking the most crucial ingredient, he had been unable to make it.

Ronin looked at the brown pill in his hand. “Taking this allows a Knight to unleash an extra fifty percent of their power?”

“Yes, my lord. I’ve already had Rig Hodge try it, and the effect was excellent!”

Elron was very satisfied with this research achievement. Although its side effects were significant, the burst of power at a critical moment could be life-saving.

“Rig Hodge?”

Ronin asked in surprise. It was a name he didn’t recognize.

“He’s a Bronze Knight who recently came to the Wubei Territory to pledge allegiance to you. I heard his ancestors were Honorary Knights, but the family has since fallen on hard times.”

Elron explained, “The Burst Potion has requirements for the user’s strength; only a Bronze Knight or stronger can use it. Otherwise, their body would explode. Since Ridder and Macken aren’t here, I could only ask Rig to test it.”

Ronin smiled. “I thought getting Yusuf to join was already great, but I didn’t expect a Bronze Knight as well. When we hold the general meeting in a couple of days, have them all come see me.”

“They are also hoping to meet you.”

Elron said with a smile, “Besides Yusuf and Rig, I’ve also approved ten Professional Knights who wished to join, including an Advanced Level Knight named Damon. They were all drawn here by your reputation.”

After the last battle, Ronin’s fame had spread, so it was only natural that people would come to join him.

Once the news that he was to become a Kingdom Baron and marry Blanche spread, even more people would flock to his side.

Ronin asked a few simple questions before the topic returned to the Burst Potion.

“How many of these do you have on hand?”

Elron held up one hand. “Including the one in your hand, I have five in total.”

“Only five, huh.” Ronin was a little disappointed.

“It’s mainly because the blood of a Sixth-level Magical Beast is limited, and the failure rate isn’t low, which restricts the quantity,” Elron explained. “However, I’m planning to sell each one for three hundred Gold Coins. We can still make back three to four hundred Gold Coins.”

Ronin nodded. If the side effects weren’t too severe, they could probably be sold for a higher price.

“Give me four for now.”

Ronin wanted these four for himself, Ridder, Macken, and Karda.

“I can, but…”

Elron chuckled. “My funds are running low. If you don’t want me to sell them, my lord, you’ll have to sponsor me a bit first.”

Although Elron had earned some money in the past two months by selling Magic Scrolls and herbs in Pasture City, the investment in Magic Potions was too great, and his funds were no longer sufficient.

“Hahaha~”

Ronin burst out laughing. “I see your main purpose in coming to see me today was to get an investment, wasn’t it?”

Elron gave an awkward chuckle. He had indeed intended to do so.

Ronin didn’t hesitate and immediately allocated Three Thousand Gold Coins. “We need to get the Magic Potion sales operation up and running quickly. Our territory’s expenses will be very high in the future.”

“Rest assured, my lord. With two Senior Mages, Jenny and Yusuf, under my command, things are much more convenient. In another six months, we will definitely be profitable!”

Ronin nodded.

’Perhaps I can find an opportunity to announce Elron’s status as a Mage and Potion Master.’

A Mage of his level had considerable drawing power, just like Ronin himself. It might attract more Mages to join, just as he was now able to attract commoners and Knights to the Wubei Territory.

’Maybe I should consider building a Magic Academy in the Wubei Territory.’
