The Palace of Adern.

It is truly something to behold, this is Katarina thoughts.

Azief and Katarina is now inside the palace.

Katarina had thought that to enter the Palace of Adern…. would be a monumental task. She expected that Azief had an inside man.

Maybe using his Palace Keeper to enter the Palace.

Or maybe a spy he had prepared beforehand.

There is even a possibility of him showing his dinette to some loyal retainer to open the gates or the protection formation to enter the palace.

Because she knows Pandemonium.

She knows how tight the defense of each castle.

Each castle and palace belonging to Death Monarch or high-ranking members of governments are not just some stone buildings or iron fortress.

That is not the reason why it is impenetrable.

Stones, steel and rare mineral….no matter from what kind of things your structure is made of, how strong it is, is it stronger than gods that could fly up to the Sun, breathe dust of the vast cosmos and drinks from the most corrosive and poisonous water?

Even though the world had changed in many ways, even though structures after the Fall is reinforced in many ways, the minerals no matter how strong, if it’s bombarded by energy blast, it would be chipped, it would crack, and it would break

Insurance companies that appear after the Fall would never insure things easily.

After all, even if you build a city, if two Disk Formation realm suddenly fought in your city, it would be like the destruction of a Kaiju fighting Ultraman

It would be like someone detonated a nuclear bomb in that city.

How could insurance companies insure such a thing? They would be broke trying to use energy stones to pay for all of the damages that is insured

Disk Formation realm rarely fight in populated areas. It is because such damage would surely be put on them.

Not to mention, if they dare do it in a city belonging to one of the great powers, they could kiss their ass goodbye.

Of course, just because there are laws against it and highly prohibitive measure did not means that it is always followed.

Sometimes in the heat of battle and after flinging each other through thousands of miles with each punch, sometimes, even when you don’t want to fight in a city you would find yourself fighting in one.

And when that happens, that city no matter how sturdy and how powerful the structure is made of to withstand, even if it could withstand nuclear blast, when two Disk Formation realm fights seriously, these structure that could hold even under a nuclear blast would be destroyed by one punch.

In the world, there is only a few cities where a fight between two Disk Formation realm levelers would not level that city.

Most of these are the capital cities of the world powers which had many arrays, magic, warding, talismans to make sure even if a Disk Formation realm leveler is duking it out in the center of the city, the damage would not flatten the entire city.

So, how to make sure each castle, palaces, fortresses, passes did not break when powerhouses begin clashing.

Protection formation, spells, enchantments, wards, energy shields among many other protection measures that could be employed.

And Pandemonium is the master of this

They have the Nine Laws Prison Formation which is created using the Nine Laws of the Cosmic Laws.

They also have the Sky Bearing Formation.

It is used for external attack.

When it is activated, a golden light, would act a protective barrier that surrounded pandemonium from coast to coast, from each direction, protecting the entire continent.

And then there is others.

Each one is more shocking and more mysterious than others

There is trapping formation, protection wards, illusionary mist, and many other kinds of methods.

These palaces when it is about deterring people has one of the most powerful defenses

But today, Katarina learns something.

The main chamber of the Death Monarch most frequented palace, did not have so many formations.

Most of the formations are quite elementary.

Other than those places that are protected like the Oval office of Pandemonium and the gardens, most of it is not protected

“Why is it not as protected?”

Katarina suddenly ask as Azief is walking alongside a narrow long hallway.

This hallway is long and narrow, a connecting hallway between the tower they are in to another tower.

There is no one patrolling around here.

This is the private area of only a few people. And only a few people could enter and walk around in this part of the palace. It is for this reason why Azief and Katarina could just walk around without worrying about anyone seeing them.

Azief did not even turns back and simply answers

“Who dares attack me when I am in the Palace” Katarina listen to this and for a moment she was stunned before she laughed

“Pretty arrogant, aren’t you?”

Azief only laugh at this.

Katarina look again at the man she loves and she too laughed

“You have the qualifications to be arrogant”

Azief only smirks at this.

They walk inside the Palace. Katarina thought that Azief would summon someone by now. Even if Azief wanted to delay the war from ending, this does not mean that he had to remain unknown in his own palace.

After all, regardless of the control Sasha could exert inside the Palace, in the end, the owner of this palace is still Death Monarch

Between her and Death Monarch who has more control? If it is about secrets, Sasha knowns more than Death Monarch.

Especially if it’s about the secrets of this palace.

After all, she supervised many of its construction and created many of its hidden passages and rooms.

But is that truly the case?

In the eyes of a being like Death Monarch, is there any concealment that could escape his penetrating gaze?

The control of this palace, the control of Pandemonium has never been in question.

It has always and will always be in Death Monarch hands.

So, Katarina wondered why Azief did not summon anyone and leisurely walking. But then she understood it.

They were walking when a maid is seen rushing around.

That maid is running towards them and Katrina was about to hide but looking at Azief who calmly walking ahead without caring whether that woman could see him or not make Katarina halt her move.

And then to her surprise, that maid who is rushing instinctively avoid Azief and her but she doesn’t seem to be able to see them

Azief did not stop walking and he did not say anything but Katarina understood.

This must be one of the methods of Death Monarch

She knows some people could train their stealth to such a point that even if that person is standing behind you, you would not notice.

But to stand in front of you and not notice you, this is more than just a method of stealth.

Method of stealth still have something to do with physical movement. But Azief method…. this is like covering the eyes

After all, it is not like Azief is turning invisible right now. He is still there. He did not let himself become something intangible.

If he becomes something intangible than it would not be a soldi appearance like this. But that maid unconsciously avoids to touch them

She did not realize their existence but unconsciously avoided touching like she knew they were there

“Blocking and manipulating senses and memories?” Katarina mutters to herself

Like someone that don’t want to confront their worst memories and unconsciously blocked that part of the memory.

That is the kind of method Azief is doing. Covering the eyes……No, covering the eyes is not appropriate word to use for this kind of method.

It is more like creating an image of reality in the mind and senses of others.

Stealth uses one own power to hide. Manipulate the environment around them to hide. But Azief simply uses the other person mind and sense to deceive them

“Can…they hear us?” Katarina suddenly asks

“No, they won’t. Of course, if you are determined to shout, even my power of concealment has its limit.”

Katarina eyes narrows and she shook her head. Katarina believe that even if she shouts, even if the whole Palace heard her shouts, with Azief method, none of them would realize it or maybe they would even disregard the sound thinking it is the wind or something

“You are just trying to make my heart at ease” Azief only chuckles. For a moment there is silence between them

“they could not see us?”

“Unless I want them to see us, they won’t be able to see us. Just like before”

Katarina nodded.

She had seen this method before.

In Arturia. And now seeing it again, she remembers how overpowered this method is.

If Azief wanted to kill anyone in the world, he would just walk to that person and could easily take anyone own life without that person even knowing he was there.

Maybe Azief could kill a person in the crowd and make sure the crowd could not see even if that person he wanted to kill is bleeding out.

This kind of method that deceive all the senses….it is truly a terrifying method.

“You want to teach me how to do it?” she said it like a question.

But it is clear that Katarina wanted to learn this kind of method.

Azief look at Katarina sighed
