Chapter 1986: Oracles

Katarina could feel the wind from the seas coming in from the windows and her hair fluttered.

He looks at the back of Azief and she frowns. There is a lot of things Azief had told him. Some she understands, some she did not

But on the parts, she understands, she knows that Azief is worried and is contemplating many things.

Katarina did not care about a lot of things. In the thing she cares about in her heart, there is only a few. But Azief is not like that.

He cares. He just doesn’t show it.

People are connected. That is what he says to her one day. When you are in trouble sometimes, you forget that and think not of other people and kindness. Some even think of caring as some kind of a disease and urge people not to care

But a kind soul could light up an entire galaxy, and an evil soul is even more worthless than the dust that flutters in the air.

Even now Katarina did not understand this. Her path is not the same as Azief. Azief walked as he himself said, a path of destruction.

But a path of destruction could not be understood unless you understood the duality of destruction

Without creation, there is no destruction.

Hence, those who want to comprehend the ultimate path of destruction must first understand creation

One of the aspects of destruction is death.

The absence of things. Hence, those who wanted to understand death must understand life.

Only then could you wield death like you move your own fingers.

Once you reach a realm where you could see the cause and effects of things, once you reach a realm where you could see the connection between people and how it affects destiny and fate, then you would understand that people are connected.

And because Azief understood this, he could not just not care.

Once you see people’s life and see their life, feel their pain, then unless you have no feelings, you could not help but care

And Azief himself was never truly a heartless person. Some of his actions are ruthless and some are downright despicable, he himself has changed and tries to change.

And that is even harder. But for Katarina, she did not care so much about these connections and these people.

All she cares about has always been the select few people she cares about. And her path is not the same.

One could even say that her path is quite ruthless.

Katarina looked at Azief and asked him

“Now, what are you going to do?”

Azief, listening to this question, did not immediately answer her. Instead, he smiles and then he laughs

“Since the Oracle said, she has something for me, then let’s go. Let’s go and see her and ask her what she means. I am very much…. interested in listening to her this time”

Katarina eyes narrow

Azief shares her same displeasure with these Oracles. In the past, Oracle class or to be more exact the Seer class is quite rare. It is not because one could not choose this class.

It is because in the early years of the Fall, seers did not have powerful methods of fighting. Even now, when one thinks of the Great Oracle, one thinks of her ability to see the past, present and future events instead of fighting

In the many fighting and war and battles that decided the world fate and the world geopolitical changes, it all depends on the strongest people in the world.

These beings whose power is based on prowess and magical abilities that could shake heaven and earth

The seers, however, are more complicated to be categorized. They are not exactly known as a class that is highly resilient in face of danger

But since some kind or order of peace had descended on earth with the formation of the Seven World powers and the Great Oracle being afforded such a prestigious power in Greece, many more people had changed their class to this profession.

But out of the many Seers and Oracles all over the world, when one speaks the title of the Great Oracle, the whole world knows who it refers to.

Erika.

And Azief had always expressed wariness to her about Erika before and all of those wise people in the world know how to be wary.

Just by looking at her face to face, it is like she could see through you. Azief is the strongest man in the world.

Since he had been given that title, it is others that feel uneasy when they meet him

But Azief himself feels uneasy when meeting Erika. It is never a pleasant feeling when you are being watched by that eye.

Azief and Erika had met their fair share of Seers. But no one rubs them wrong like Erika did. Meeting other Oracles and Seers is just like meeting any other person.

But when meeting with Erika, the best way to describe it, was like she was the only one in the room that knew something others did not.

And that feeling….that feeling is not pleasant at all.

The only Oracle in the world who has never been wrong. Even Seers get it wrong sometimes.

After all, Seers and Oracles, all of this clairvoyant type, their power is derived differently from fighting types

People like Azief and Katarina could simply absorb the power of heaven and earth to enhance their power and use the laws of heaven and earth to restrain and destroy their enemies

But these clairvoyants are different.

“Erika has always been quite mysterious. But it would be hard for me to think she is just someone who did not know anything at this point” Azief mutters under his breath.

Azief sighed and then as he closed his eyes, he breathed out

He breathed out air, and the moment the air comes out from his mouth, the house, the villa everything turns to dust.

Katarina eyes narrows and she tries to see how this magic power turns into dust but the moment she sent her Divine Sense to try to probe she felt a pain in her eyes

“Backlash?” Katarina did not insist and quickly retracted her Divine Sense

“I always knew he is strong. But this is on another whole level” Katarina thought to herself.

Disintegrate into nothingness in just a few moments.

This villa is not made by normal bricks. Since the world had changed, the soil, the sand and even the trees changed and of course, even construction method had changed

Not to mention that this house is filled to the brim with magic. From concealing magic to warding runes, all of this magic made it hard to break this villa.

Katarina could of course slash the villa into two…and any Disk Formation realm level if they exert much of their power could destroy this house easily.

But if anyone attack this villa the first thing that would light up would be protection formation and it would take time for even a Disk Formation realm leveler to destroy such a residence.

Not to mention that this residence is connected to dozens of energy nodes that is connected to the energy stone mines.

Even Katarina would find it hard to destroy this residence once it lights up with all of the protection power it could muster.

But Azief…..her man just seemingly wave his hand, and all of the magic is rendered useless.

There is beauty in it. The moment he makes a move; the protection formation should have reacted

It should have pop up. That is its whole schtick. Katarina might not be a formation expert, but she knows this kind of thing

Because while her own Ice Palace did not need this kind of runes and wards, the Senate halls and rooms and even the capital city of the Republic is filled with this kind of runes and wards

From the bricks of the wall to the tiles of the ground, all of it is mesh with magic.

It is precisely because of that; the moment this structure is being attacked it would pop up almost immediately to protect the one inside it.

Even if the structure could not withstand the power of those who are attacking, it would buy time for the one inside the structure to find a way to rush to safety

There is a certain elegance the way her man destroy thing.

One could even liken it to art.

The laws and rules of the world, in that one brief moment were severed.

It is death. It is absence. It is destruction.

Katarina saw this could not help but felt shocked. And her eyes narrow

She is about to reach Divine Comprehension realm. Only one more step. But not quite. Like Azief, she wanted to make sure her foundation is strong

She always knew that those who reached Divine Comprehension were strong. Raymond for example has reached that level.

But Katarina herself had never fought against Raymond. She knows he is strong. She knows from the aura alone that Raymond could pressure her.

But she never really clashed with Raymond since he became a Divine Comprehension leveler.

There is no reason to clash.
