Chapter 1953: Developments in the World

Sometimes, a tool of magic is more useful than the modern tools that they are used to.

Not only do they use different kinds of power source, but they also have more functions and anyone with specialties can create them

There is no big company monopolizing these tools because everyone who has magic could create some amateur tools that surpassed the modern tools that they are used to.

Instead of air conditioner, there is ice shard filled with magic that brings cool breeze. This is even easier than creating a tool.

Just find the ice shard and bring it inside and it regulates the heat.

The only thing that needed to be added to the ice shard is formation magic so that it could regulate the cold that it emitted.

Temperature regulator.

If someone hired a formation master or some people who have the craftsman class, they could add a temperature regular to the ice shard.

Azief did not know much about ice shards, but he knows in Pandemonium Palace, it is embedded into the walls, and the temperature regulator is on the walls.

From what little he does know, ice shard could last for six years. Some that are found in icy regions imbued with divine coldness could even last hundreds of years.

And the larger it is the longer it lasts.

Maybe one that could last thousands of years emanate coldness that it could freeze everything around it

There is also charcoal that brings heat if ignited with fire magic and lasts longer than any normal charcoal, useful in times of great winter.

And many other such things.

Magic means and not tools

The stronger you are, the more powerful magic you mastered.

And the more magic you master, the less you rely on tools.

Azief for example never needed an ice shard to regulate temperature. His body is always well regulated.

And if he wanted cold, he could just summon the cold. The same goes for when he wanted heat.

All necessity of human life could easily be achieved with magic but there is also some things…. magic could not do.

Azief just sighed at the new wonders that he had seen and there is a smile on his face

He sat down on one of the chairs in the tavern.

This tavern itself is large. Azief eyes narrow

“hmm….magic” he mutters to himself

Azief could sense there is even some space manipulation inside the tavern. Making it a few feet larger than the outside.

When Azief sits on one of the seats, people who came later all instinctively avoid that seat and that table.

They do not even realize they are doing it.

So, even when the tavern is full, no one sits on that one lone table. And no one notices this peculiarity.

Since all of them are all below Disk Formation, none of them could even sense this anomaly.

Azief did not drink, instead he is just sitting there

He is looking around. That feeling is still there. A connection. A premonition of something. He closes his eyes and listens.

“I heard there is a treasure on the-”

“My uncle Leopold had a spear. He went to the Untainted Land to-”

“Did you hear? Magistrate Marek had an affair with-”

“There is military tension between the world powers right now. I fear that it would spill out and Arturia would be dragged into it. I only hope Lord Arthur could-”

“There is a kingdom established on the eastern corner of this island continent.”

“Really?”

“Yes, someone from Polish. See, you see many Polish pirates and mercenaries nowadays. Before, it was the Greeks. The Seven Warlords of Greece has somehow cool down their tension and some of their people returns to new Greece. There is a mountain city called Olympus where the Seven Warlords would reside. Creating like some kind of a pseudo abode for the gods”

“Hope these Polish people also go elsewhere. Don’t want a turf war happening in the east. Heard it is also filled with German’s warriors. Political survivors of Boris purge. They also made their settlements on the eastern part. Who knows if these two would not have any tension”

’As long as it would not spread to Arturia, Lord Arthur would probably turn a blind eye”

There are many conversations.

Some of them talk about personal stuff.

Some spoke about the situation of the world.

But none of them seems to have connection with him. He would know if there were a connection with him

He would feel it. But now, he does not feel it

But then something caught his heart. A name caught his attention. And the attention gives him a feeling. And now he is truly listening and tuning everything else out

“Haish. The world is becoming even more chaotic”

The other echoes

A large burly man, wearing heavy armor and a large hammer behind his back is talking to his colleague

He has thick hair and thick beard. Tall and huge like a tower. His muscle alone is like study rocks.

“Tadeus, we did not go to the territory of the world powers last time. What did you hear? Is it really that bad”

Taddeus sighed.

“The affairs of gods” he mutters.

“They fight among themselves, and the people are the one that suffers. We small anchovies could only hope that their conflicts would not expand. No one wanted another world war”

Many of the people around Taddeus frown.

“What about the trickster? The captain seems intent in finding him”

’Sssh” Taddeus put his finger in front of his mouth shushing them

He then waves his hand, and a sound barrier is set up around their seat.

Everyone in the tavern as long as they are talking deeply about certain stuff and don’t want anyone else to hear, they would wave their hand, activated some energy and the runes and formations under the table and around their seats would light up the formation

And this might work against Disk Formation realm leveler.

Which is already the highest realm in the world right now in the eyes of many powers

After all, those who reached Divine Comprehension could be counted in one hand. And why would such a being condescended to enter such tavern and mingle with them

Right now, because there are only a few people that broke through Divine Comprehension realm.

Measures against them are limited.

Even more so for someone like Azief who reached Essence Creation

There is basically no measure against him.

If there is, he would not be the one that would be sitting on the highest throne in the world.

“What happened on Untainted Land?” one of them ask

Taddeus frowned and then said

“Loki the Trickster did something in Untainted Land. I don’t know the details, but it is clear it is something big. Because all of the world powers are now trying to enter the Untainted Land. That and Pandemonium civil war all portend to something big. Something big and disastrous”

“I heard the Untainted Land is closed off. Untainted land wanted autonomy. And wanted to rule that land as some god. Cleansing that world so that the people in that world would not know there is a sky beyond their sky”

Taddeus shakes his head

“I also heard many things”

Then he sighed

“I also don’t know which one is true and which one is not. What is true however, the Untainted Land forces did block the way”

“That is ingenious. The upper limit of the people inside the Untainted Land is Disk Formation realm. After reaching Disk Formation realm, they would feel constricted”

“They could not break through their realm unless they ascend”

“And when they ascend, they would break through the barrier of the sky of the world of Untainted Land and returns back to the land of Earth”

“That is how it is. That is how the Untainted Land was created. It is so that the weak people also have a chance in this world. The only thing that they must sacrifice is time. The time that is flowing here on Earth is different from the time in the Untainted Land”

“And some people inside that place wanted to create a new myth. A myth to create a new world for themselves. Since the time is different, just a few years here means decades there”

“And some of them have done something to the formation of time and space of that place. I don’t know how they did it, and frankly the world powers also don’t know how they did that. But that people in that world, there is a different kind of myths that is different from how it is”
