Chapter 2083 Ambition
Chapter 2083 Ambition
“Master of Thrones?”
Robin showed a strange, unreadable smile, one that carried neither admiration nor mockery.
“That is Qarun’s title, the former leader of the academies,” Althera nodded slowly.
“You’re going to take his place now, aren’t you?”
Robin turned his head away, his gaze drifting through the vast glass walls of his residence, toward the distant stars beyond.
“No. I don’t want to take another man’s title. That would only expose my own pettiness. It would make it seem as if I had chased the leadership of the academies for prestige and status alone, as if I had envied Qarun and desired what he possessed rather than building something of my own.”
“And isn’t that true? Don’t you desire prestige?”
Althera showed a faint, knowing smile.
“Even if I don’t know you deeply, the love of power and glory is written all over your face. It’s not something you even try to hide.”
“Haha, yes, that part is true,” Robin shook his head lightly, his tone honest.
“But I don’t resent Qarun for his position or his title. I’m not chasing what he built. I’m aiming for something greater. Something beyond that level entirely.”
“Greater than Qarun’s status?!”
Althera stared at him in shock, disbelief clear in her eyes.
“He is one of the true Four Pillars of the universe. The four who move everything, directly or indirectly. The ones whose shadows shape entire civilizations and sectors:
the Butcher, the Tyrant, the Dreamer, and the Master of Thrones,
the sovereigns of Sectors 1, 250, 500, and 750.”
“The Butcher?”
Robin raised a brow slightly, curiosity flickering across his face.
“Marleik the Butcher. He is the second man in that Syndicate and its current driving power.”
Althera frowned deeply.
“It’s said he’s the only one allowed to visit The Archon in his cave. The only one
with that kind of access.”
She looked at him sharply.
“Don’t tell me you don’t know Marleik?!”
“Hm,”
Robin nodded a few times, calmly processing the information.
“Let me guess. The Archon is Sevar’s title, isn’t it?”
“…?”
Althera’s brows sank even deeper, her expression tightening with unease.
“Hehe, don’t look so surprised. We already have a hostile thread connected between us.”
Robin laughed softly when he saw her reaction.
“Whether I say his name or not changes nothing. The line is already drawn.” “…I don’t know what that means,”
Althera lifted her chin slightly, trying to maintain her composure.
“But you will have to remember the names and titles of those four if you truly want to clash with the great ones. If you move carefully, if you play your cards right, you might even become the fifth pillar one day.”
“The great ones?”
Robin shook his head slowly.
“They are second-tier. Yes, I will deal with them. Yes, I will cross paths with them. But they are not my goal.”
His voice hardened slightly.
“They are obstacles on my path, nothing more.”
“That’s big talk, even for you,”
Althera said in disbelief, her voice low.
“Sorry, but it’s the truth.”
Robin shrugged calmly.
“Taking one of their titles, or targeting one of them specifically, would only diminish me. It would reduce my worth and shrink my ambition.”
He paused, then added,
“And second, the Master of Thrones?”
He shook his head again, slowly and decisively.
“In the place where I stand, there is only one throne. Mine.”

Both Althera and Aser stared at the side of Robin’s head in stunned silence,
unable to speak.
Does this man know any limits to arrogance?!
And yet…
A few seconds later, realization set in.
If anyone else had said those words, they would have laughed, mocked him, or
raged at his arrogance.
But with Robin, they could only stare in disbelief and unease.
Because he had already reached a status comparable to the Master of Thrones.
Because his influence, his power, and his position already placed him on that
level.
Who else could even dare to speak such words?
“By the way, what about the other three?”
Robin asked calmly, as if the topic were trivial.
“You said the Four Pillars rule the universe. What about the Cosmic Elder Zolan and the others?”
“The Cosmic Elder Zolan, the Sovereign of Chaos Athena, and the Archon have not intervened in the affairs of the universe for a very long time,” Asr replied this time, his voice calm but heavy with meaning. “Each of them carried out something Great that completely altered the course of the universe, then took a step back and began to simply observe. If the four we mentioned earlier can be called the pillars, then these three are the true foundation. Their decisions shaped everything that happens across the universe, in every region and every domain, for better or for worse. Even the pillars themselves walk the paths that these three laid out long ago.”
“Hm,” Robin nodded slowly several times, clearly absorbing the weight of those words. “So it’s decided then. For now, my goal will be to become the fourth of them, to stand among those who shape destiny rather than merely follow it.”
“……..
“Oh, by the way,” Robin smiled faintly at Althera, his tone shifting, “do I understand from what you said earlier that the Dawn light Academy has now become a cosmic academy?”
“Yes,” Althera nodded with quiet certainty. “I decided to follow the will of the Cosmic Elder, and to align the academy with his greater design.”
“Good. Then I have a request,” Robin said, nodding in return, his expression
turning serious. “I want you to help Morgana.”
“…..?” Althera slightly furrowed her brows, clearly not expecting this.
“I know the request came suddenly, but I truly need you for this mission,” Robin sighed and looked ahead into the distance. “Morgana is a good instructor and does everything within her power, but she does not yet fully grasp the political and administrative side of things. She has barely managed to secure her grip on the Sacred Covenant Academy, and even that took everything she had. But now other academics will begin requesting to join it, one after another. I don’t trust that she can manage all of this pressure and responsibility alone.”
“As for you,” he continued calmly, “you spent hundreds of thousands of years handling the administrative side of the academy, the tax sector, the maintenance and funding of the Peacekeeping Army, and countless other logistical matters. No offense, but your academy barely has any teaching to speak of,” Robin said plainly. “Administration, governance, and structure were always its true strength. You also certainly have connections with the leaders of the other academies. They probably saw you at councils, meetings, symposiums, or formal gatherings like that. Your presence alone will reassure them, reduce their fears, and make the merger procedures far smoother and
more stable.”
“What about guarding the gate? Won’t you open it again?” Althera asked, pointing down the mountain, her voice edged with concern.
“As for protecting the gate,” Robin gestured toward Asr, “your deputy can
remain here and assist my imperial guard. The Path of Time will be ideal for preventing space beasts from escaping anyway, especially during active
operations.”
“And what about the Blue Plague and the space beasts that escape?” Althera replied quickly, her tone sharpening. “If I am placed in an administrative role and Aser is stationed here, who will protect the sector itself?”
“Aser can leave to carry out his other duties during the periods when the gate is
closed,” Robin explained calmly. “We will open it for one hour, then close it for days or even weeks to clean the battlefield site, eliminate remaining threats, and prepare properly for the next opening cycle. And if we ever need your help, we will summon you quickly through a space portal.” Then he looked at Aser directly. “I know this puts pressure on you, but I will make sure you are compensated properly and fairly for this burden.”
“It is an honor to serve the sector,” Aser showed a strange, almost solemn smile
and nodded firmly.
“…..
Althera looked away in silence, and I was clear from her expression that she did not like this request at all, not even slightly.
“What?” Robin frowned. “I have appointed you to a position almost equal to
Morgana’s, a status far higher than your role as the head of a stellar academy. You will be overseeing multiple academies and shaping their future direction. Why the hesitation?”
“….” Althera remained silent for a moment, then turned and moved to leave. “Nothing. I will head now to the Sacred Covenant Cosmic Academy to carry out my duties.” Then whoosh she vanished, and reappeared beside the passage at
the foot of the mountain.
“…..” Robin turned to Aser, his brows slightly furrowed. “Am I missing
something?”
