Ye Liuyun’s blade-intent seed remained utterly still, continuing to lock onto Feng Pei for a while before finally changing direction and returning.

Only Feng Pei remained there, muttering to himself, “I lost! I actually lost! So this is what a stronger intent seed is like!”

There was no trace of dejection on his face, however. Instead, having witnessed a stronger intent seed, he was filled with feverish delight.

Ye Liuyun did not keep anything to himself. Seeing that Feng Pei was truly a martial arts fanatic, he transmitted his voice through his divine sense. “Your spiritual soul is too weak. You should first cultivate your spiritual soul, then use a method like Roaming the Void with Your Soul to send out your sword-intent seed. That way, you can improve your sword intent.”

Upon hearing this, Feng Pei immediately saluted toward the sky and expressed his thanks to Ye Liuyun for teaching him this method.

“Mr. Ye, where are you now?” He wanted to use their relative positions to gauge just how powerful Ye Liuyun’s spiritual soul was, so he would have a reference for his own efforts.

“I’m here at the Sword-Dance Stone!” Ye Liuyun replied.

“Uh... That far away?” Feng Pei was instantly dumbfounded.

Ye Liuyun understood what he was thinking and offered him some guidance. “Although your spiritual soul is weak, you can already send it very far through Roaming the Void with Your Soul. You simply haven’t mastered it yet. Once you do, you’ll be able to go farther and farther.”

Afterward, Ye Liuyun also transmitted the Taixu Qi Refining Formula to Feng Pei through his divine sense.

“Although sword cultivators focus primarily on cultivating the sword, if your other powers lag too far behind, your sword intent will also be affected.” He also explained this to Feng Pei.

“Is this... a qi-refining technique that allows one to break through to the Taixu Realm?” Feng Pei became even more excited, no longer knowing how to thank Ye Liuyun.

“That’s right! Perhaps we’ll meet again in the Taixu World!” Ye Liuyun replied before withdrawing his spiritual soul and continuing to comprehend the strike unleashed by his blade-intent seed just moments ago.

Feng Pei continued thanking him from the other side. But after thanking him for quite a while without receiving any response, he used his divine sense to contact Ye Liuyun again, only to discover that Ye Liuyun had already withdrawn his spiritual soul.

“He... actually didn’t ask me for anything... He doesn’t want anything in return?”

Feng Pei was completely rooted to the spot. He had obtained from Ye Liuyun a cultivation technique for improving sword intent and breaking through to the Taixu Realm, yet Ye Liuyun had asked for nothing in return. This was the first time he had ever encountered a martial cultivator like that.

“What kind of person is he, exactly?”

Feng Pei could not make sense of Ye Liuyun. In a fit of anger, Ye Liuyun had slaughtered tens of thousands of members of the Li family and taken their planet away, leaving the Li family with nothing. Yet when he gave Feng Pei a cultivation technique, he had not asked for anything in return.

Ye Liuyun himself had not given the matter a second thought. He simply acted according to his heart. Jiang Yuantang’s earlier guess had been correct as well: Ye Liuyun had never intended to use the Taixu Qi Refining Formula to earn a great deal of resources. Whether he gave someone the technique or not depended entirely on his mood.

When Ye Liuyun’s blade-intent seed returned to his sea of consciousness, it was even more powerful than before, and the disciples of the several major clans present all witnessed it. They promptly reported it to their respective clans, making those clans even less willing to scheme against Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun did not stay any longer. After letting Feng Wanju and the others experience the stronger sword intent, he led everyone away.

Not long after they left, Feng Pei’s spiritual-soul injuries had fully recovered. He even made a special trip to the Sword-Dance Stone to thank Ye Liuyun, only to find that no one was there.

“He really doesn’t want anything in return!” Feng Pei sighed inwardly. He solemnly bowed in the direction Ye Liuyun had left, then returned to continue cultivating.

Ye Liuyun did not take it to heart at all. He merely had a puppet pilot the flying vessel while he continued Roaming the Void with His Soul, consolidating the blade intent he had just improved.

He discovered that this method of allowing his spiritual soul to roam freely through heaven and earth truly helped improve his strength tremendously. Not only could he sense the power of heaven and earth, but he could also perceive the various forces and elements present within it. He could even use it to improve his blade intent.

Thus, after consolidating his blade intent, he continued traveling with Spatial Force while releasing a strand of his spiritual soul to wander through the starry sky alongside him.

The starry sky was not completely empty, either. He encountered several starry-sky beasts and passing flying vessels. However, he detected them all in advance and, judging that the people and beasts were no threat, avoided them beforehand.

As he continued forward, however, the spiritual soul he had left outside noticed signs that the demonic energy around them was growing denser.

“Huh? Judging by the timing, we shouldn’t have reached the demonic race’s territory yet!”

Ye Liuyun was puzzled. Just then, his Golden Eyes spotted a flying vessel in the distance, with human martial cultivators inside. Pursuing it was a small warship of the demonic race, carrying more than three hundred demons. Although they were not wearing armor, they all wore identical uniforms and looked like soldiers.

“Could the demonic race have already advanced this far?” Ye Liuyun’s heart stirred, and he immediately hurried over.

He also asked the captives among the demonic army whether those uniforms belonged to the demonic soldiers.

As it turned out, they really were soldiers from the Sacred Demon Star System. They simply belonged to a different army.

Fearing that the flying vessel ahead would not be able to see him, he immediately brought out a somewhat larger flying vessel and had several Ninth-level Guiyi puppets pilot it.

He also immediately released the demonic beasts and the women, along with several of the stronger members of Luo Yu and Tang Xinyao’s group. As for the Tang family disciples, their realms were too low, so Ye Liuyun did not let them join the battle.

Although the realms of these three hundred demonic soldiers were not particularly high, all of them were at least at the sixth level of Guiyi. The women who often took part in battles had all just advanced to the sixth level of Guiyi, while Xiao Yunfang and Meng Qingyin had both advanced to the seventh level. It was just the right opportunity for them to familiarize themselves with their new strength.

Before long, the flying vessel being pursued by the demons spotted Ye Liuyun’s vessel and immediately raced toward them.

“It seems they really are being pursued by the demonic race and are coming to us for help!”

Lei Ming’s Golden Eyes also saw the expressions of the martial cultivators inside the vessel ahead, piercing straight through its hull.

When the martial cultivators ahead saw that Ye Liuyun’s flying vessel was relatively large, they assumed that there were many human martial cultivators aboard who could rescue them, and delighted expressions appeared on their faces.

Ye Liuyun had already slowed the flying vessel in advance. He brought everyone down to wait for them, while having the puppets stow the vessel and wait farther behind, lest it be damaged in the fight.

At this point, the martial cultivators aboard the approaching flying vessel saw that there were only twenty or thirty of them, and worried expressions appeared on their faces as well. However, their realms were all rather low.

The old man leading them was only at the seventh level of Guiyi. The nearly one hundred young martial cultivators with him were all at the early stages of Guiyi, and not a single one had surpassed the fourth level of Guiyi.

Thus, after hesitating briefly, the old man continued straight toward them. The demonic warship behind them was pressing too closely, and they had no other choice but to ask Ye Liuyun and the others for help.

As soon as the flying vessel came to a stop, the old man led everyone off and appealed to Ye Liuyun and the others for help.

Ye Liuyun stepped forward as well and asked the old man, “Who are you people, and why are you being pursued by the demonic race?”
