Longevity: Comprehending the Heart Method

Chapter 550 55: I've Become an Honored Guest Again?

As far as Bai Zhengchun and the others were concerned, the Blood Demon Sect's Small World was merely a breeding ground for Bone Marrow-Feeding Insects and those zombie-like Demon Birds. The rumors of treasure were nothing more than a diversion.

But from the looks of Song Changsheng and his group, their haul seemed anything but small.

Shen Qingxiu took a deep breath and said, "In that case, follow me."

The group followed Shen Qingxiu to an ancient, heavy Bronze Gate halfway up Celestial Sound Mountain. Shen Qingxiu waved her hand, opening it, and said calmly, "This is an abandoned Treasure Vault. It should be more than enough for your needs."

With that said, Shen Qingxiu turned and left immediately.

Although she was curious about what Song Changsheng's group had obtained in the Small World, given her status, her very presence would put a kind of invisible pressure on them.

Furthermore, it would create the false impression that Luoxia City intended to participate in dividing the spoils, giving off the feeling that she was using her position to intimidate them.

Rather than let that happen, it was better to leave on her own accord and avoid any misunderstanding.

Watching her retreating figure, Song Changsheng opened his mouth, but ultimately decided against asking Shen Qingxiu to stay.

It's only human to be a little selfish.

He acknowledged that Luoxia City had contributed the most to this expedition and deserved the largest share.

But who chose first, who chose last, and who was watching during the selection—all of these things made a difference.

If Shen Qingxiu were present, and Song Changsheng's group discovered any particularly valuable treasures while taking inventory, they would surely have to hand them over to Luoxia City first.

Now that she had left, with only their group remaining, they could pick out what they needed first and leave the rest for Luoxia City.

The difference was quite significant.

"We got a lot this time. Let's first sort and categorize everything. We'll divide it all up after we're organized. Yuechan, you count the Spirit Stones.

Fatty, Yunhe, Chi Huo, you'll work with me to take inventory of the other materials."

Song Changsheng quickly assigned the tasks. He handed the Storage Bag filled with Spirit Stones to Zhuang Yuechan, then opened another one himself.

Instantly, piles of materials poured out of the Storage Bag, quickly filling more than half of the warehouse.

Looking at the mountain of supplies, Song Changsheng's lips twitched. 'How long is it going to take to sort through all of this?'

Zhuang Yuechan had a much easier time by comparison. She sent her Divine Sense into the Storage Bag, spreading it over the Spirit Stones. In less than half an ancient hour, she had already determined the exact number of Spirit Stones inside.

The others, on the other hand, had only just begun.

The five of them worked for a full five to six ancient hours before they finished taking inventory of the materials that filled more than half the warehouse. Although it was mentally exhausting, they were fortunate to find small surprises from time to time. It was a bittersweet experience.

While they were sorting, Zhuang Yuechan took the opportunity to draw up an inventory list. She reported to the group, "After counting, we've obtained one million five hundred thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones, five thousand Middle-Grade Spirit Stones, and ten High-Grade Spirit Stones.

If we convert everything to Low-Grade Spirit Stones, the total comes out to over two million one hundred thousand."

"Two million!" Zhu Yiqun was so excited he nearly jumped to his feet. That was a fortune! Many a Purple Mansion Influence couldn't produce that many Spirit Stones at once.

"Didn't you win four hundred thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones back in Dingyuan City? What are you getting so excited about?" Xu Yunhe shot him a sideways glance.

"Four hundred thousand Spirit Stones? How did you win that? Why haven't we heard you mention it?" Song Changsheng and Zhuang Yuechan asked, exchanging puzzled looks.

At current market prices, four hundred thousand Spirit Stones was enough to buy a decent-quality Low-Grade Treasure.

"Speaking of which, he has you to thank for that," Xu Yunhe explained. "During the finals of the tournament, someone set up a betting pool. This guy here bet one hundred thousand Spirit Stones on you at four-to-one odds. He walked away with four hundred thousand, including his initial stake. He's the richest one among us."

Song Changsheng shot Zhu Yiqun a surprised look. He hadn't even been that confident about winning that fight himself. He never expected this guy to have so much faith in him—to bet a hundred thousand Spirit Stones!

"Heh, jealous? It's called 'fortune favors the bold.' A good thing Changsheng came through for me, otherwise I would've been left with nothing," Zhu Yiqun said with a smug grin.

"So you were getting rich on the quiet, huh? I wouldn't have even known if Yunhe hadn't mentioned it." Song Changsheng gave Zhu Yiqun an ambiguous smile, which made the latter's fat tremble. He hastily took a few steps back, clutching his Storage Bag. "This is my blood, sweat, and tears! You can't just take it!"

"Alright, stop teasing him. I'm not finished yet," Zhuang Yuechan said with some annoyance, wrinkling her delicate nose.

"Right, right, back to business. Yuechan, please continue," Zhu Yiqun quickly agreed.

"Let's start with the Artifact Refining Materials. We have one thousand catties of Purple Luminous Sand, ten catties of Celestial Silkworm Silk, seven feet of Thunderstruck Wood, two thousand catties of Blue Pattern Steel..."

Zhuang Yuechan's list was extremely detailed, and the others grew drowsy listening to it, feeling none of the excitement and shock they had felt when hearing the Spirit Stone count.

This was to be expected, really. These were resources the Blood Demon Sect had hoarded to re-establish their sect, so most of them were Tier Two cultivation resources, with only a very small portion being Tier Three.

Individually, the items held little appeal for them, but thankfully, the sheer quantity made up for it.

"Aside from all this, there are also these unopened boxes. They all have Restrictions placed on them, so they should contain rarer treasures." Zhuang Yuechan gave a light wave of her hand, and twenty boxes of various sizes appeared before the group.

"Time to open some mystery boxes again! How are we splitting them this time?" Zhu Yiqun asked eagerly, rubbing his hands together.

Song Changsheng pondered for a moment before saying, "The seniors from Luoxia City contributed a great deal on this trip. I think they should get sixty percent. The four of us can split the remaining forty percent evenly. What do you all think?"
