"It’s practicing secretly at night!"

Qing Jun blinked and spilled out the things she had seen,

"Recently, senior sister has always been alone at night. I was always curious about what she was doing... No, I was worried about her! So I sneak in to take a look. Guess what, Master? Her face is just as rosy as True Inheritor Bai’s!"

Chen Ye’s eyebrows furrowed even more deeply.

Could it be that this girl has encountered a bottleneck in her cultivation, and because she is too eager for success, her Qi-Blood has reversed, causing an upward surge?

This senior disciple is truly too strong-willed!

Chen Ye only knew her cultivation was tough, but he never expected that at night, the disciple still forced herself to break through the bottleneck.

The little girl continued to shout:

"And, Master, you should judge, Qing Jun was worried about senior sister and that’s why I peeked, but whenever she catches me, she teaches me a harsh lesson. She even said if I dare to peek again, she’d smack my butt until it’s peach-like!"

"If she smacks your butt until it’s peach-like, it’s what you deserve."

Chen Ye knocked lightly on Qing Jun’s forehead with annoyance,

"Cultivators shun interruptions during seclusion. Your senior sister forcing a breakthrough at night is already unstable and dangerous. If you disturb her and she goes berserk, even a beating is light."

"But... but senior sister wasn’t meditating, she was just leaning on the bed..." Qing Jun covered her forehead, feeling wronged and wanting to argue.

Chen Ye was even more puzzled.

Was that cultivation or not?

Suddenly, a cold voice sounded behind Qing Jun: "Qing Jun."

Qing Jun shivered all over, the little hair on her head sticking up in fear, swallowing the rest of her words abruptly, almost biting her own tongue.

Chen Ye looked up and saw that Zhiwei was already standing not far away, having arrived unnoticed.

The girl wore a snow-white robe untouched by dust, her hair like a waterfall, her posture erect, and four small gourds hung quietly at her waist, exuding an aura of clarity and aloofness.

But if you looked closely, you would notice that the four gourds were trembling, as if unease had settled in.

"Sis-sister!"

Qing Jun was so frightened that she immediately shrank behind Chen Ye’s back.

Zhiwei approached, her gaze seemingly casual but laden with pressure as it lingered momentarily on Qing Jun before bowing to the master:

"Master, I just happened to be passing by. May I ask what master and junior sister were discussing just now?"

The girl lowered her eyes, her expression calm and unruffled.

Yet her tone always subtly betrayed a hint of unease.

Looking at his seemingly calm yet visibly shaken senior disciple with the quivering gourds at her waist, Chen Ye grew more certain of his suspicion.

This girl, indeed, had been secretly overexerting herself, harming her Qi-Blood, and now, having been exposed, felt too embarrassed.

"We weren’t discussing much."

Chen Ye cleared his throat, consciously softening his voice for his senior disciple’s sensitive pride, speaking gently,

"Qing Jun was just telling me how diligent you’ve been in your nighttime cultivation lately."

Zhiwei’s breath caught, and her long lashes fluttered twice.

"Zhiwei,"

Chen Ye stood with hands clasped behind his back, continuing his heartfelt advice,

"Immortal cultivation requires proper pacing; one mustn’t be overly hasty. I know you’re eager to become independent soon, but forced breakthroughs at night can easily lead to reversed Qi-Blood. If you ever feel flushed and your Qi-Blood surges again, don’t push through, lest you damage your heart’s pulse and go berserk."

Hearing the words "flushed, surging Qi-Blood," Zhiwei felt dizzy, seeing multiple afterimages of her master and junior sister.

Half-hidden behind Chen Ye, Qing Jun poked her head out and chimed in:

"Exactly right! Master’s absolutely right! Senior sister, stop practicing recklessly at night from now on!"

"...Qing Jun! What nonsense have you been telling Master?!"

Zhiwei, usually composed, couldn’t help feeling flustered, clenching the small gourd at her waist, seriously contemplating using the Magical Artifact to spank this little girl numerous times.

"Alright, Zhiwei, don’t blame your junior sister."

Chen Ye swiftly shielded Qing Jun behind him, taking her as thin-skinned, unable to suppress a soft sigh, his tone increasingly gentle:

"I know you work hard in your cultivation, and I’m genuinely pleased with your dedication. But one mustn’t allow impatience to disturb the heart."

Master, was pleased with her.

But she...

"Master... Master..."

Zhiwei opened her mouth, a blush spreading, even her usually steady voice quivering slightly.

"Enough, no need to say more, I understand."

Chen Ye gave her a reassuring look that said "I understand, no need to explain, I’ll save your dignity."

With a flourish of his sleeves, he produced an entirely jade green Jade Bottle from the Storage Bag and handed it over effortlessly:

"This is a bottle of Ice Heart Calming Pills, effective for clearing the mind and reducing heat. If you feel restless and short of breath again tonight, take one. Don’t grit your teeth and endure it alone; if you inflict internal injuries, what then?"

"Exactly that!" Qing Jun peeked out from behind Chen Ye, echoing, "Senior sister, take it! Master said if you fuss at night again, you’ll go berserk!"

As Zhiwei looked at the Ice Heart Calming Pill bottle passed before her and heard her master’s words about restlessness, she just felt a buzzing in her ears, completely flustered.

Her slender fingers trembling, she took the Jade Bottle, her fingertips burning hot.
