Chapter 127: Chapter 85: Not Outer Gang, but Better Than Outer Gang

Yan Rufeng had never abandoned the idea of killing Zheng Jun. However, he was outmatched and severely outnumbered. He planned to bide his time, feign compliance, and wait for a chance to return to the Vast Sea Sect, where he could rally three Outer Gang elders to descend the mountain and corner this brat together.

Instead of throwing their lives away one by one, they would attack him all at once!

Just as the remaining two hesitated, caught in a dilemma, Guo Ping—who had been sent flying into the banquet tables—suddenly sprang to his feet. Bathed in blood and exuding a feral aura, his eyes glowed a furious crimson as he roared, "Zheng Jun!!!"

In an instant, the Qi and Blood Guo Ping had spent decades cultivating erupted. Surging True Qi blasted outwards from his body. The veins on his arms bulged like coiled iron chains. His twin Golden Melon Hammers gleamed brilliantly. Even the wrinkles of his old age seemingly smoothed out, replaced by a visage of absolute ferocity!

In a single breath, Guo Ping glided over thirty feet, arriving right before Zheng Jun. With the momentum to move mountains and drain seas, he hoisted his Golden Melon Hammers high and brought them crashing down with devastating force!

Seeing Guo Ping attack with such ferocity, Patrolman Qi didn’t hesitate. Stomping his feet, he brandished his Imperial Saber, unleashing the Seven Kills Saber Technique as he launched a vicious slash at Zheng Jun!

"Kill!"

Witnessing this, Yan Rufeng steeled his resolve. Gritting his teeth, he raised his Wide-Backed Saber and bellowed, lunging at Zheng Jun amidst a flurry of whistling blade winds.

Three incoming attacks. Three Qi Storage experts!

"Guo Ping is decent. The other two are mediocre."

Zheng Jun sneered. His Beirong Saber lashed out like lightning. In a split second, the True Qi in his body boiled like roaring water, whipping up a gale that sounded like the roar of a dragon!

Faced with the three-pronged assault, Zheng Jun didn’t retreat. Instead, he charged forward. The Beirong Saber churned up gusts of biting cold wind. Meeting the violent shockwave head-on, he arched his spine and delivered a slash directly at the first to arrive: Guo Ping!

"A saber against hammers?!"

Guo Ping’s already fierce expression twisted into something even more terrifying. Yet, seeing this, he couldn’t help but burst into maniacal laughter. Blood spewed from his mouth like a torrent, streaming down wildly, but in that moment, his heart was filled with boundless exhilaration. He had never heard of an edged weapon trying to out-smash a blunt one! Zheng Jun was digging his own grave!

Tearing through Zheng Jun’s fierce wind, the Golden Melon Hammers carried a tremendous impact as they smashed directly toward the Beirong Saber!

According to Guo Ping’s calculations, this strike would be enough to shatter the Beirong Saber. Following through, the hammer would then crash into Zheng Jun, pounding him into a bloody pulp! This was the sheer might of a blunt weapon! His Golden Melon Hammers were forged with Purple Gold Iron and Demon General Bones—they were utterly indestructible!

"CLANG!"

A crisp screech of colliding metal rang out.

Guo Ping’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. The Beirong Saber had actually blocked his Golden Melon Hammers! He could even feel the violent reverberations traveling up the shafts, numbing the webbing between his thumbs and forefingers!

Zheng Jun, on the other hand, felt no discomfort whatsoever. In fact, he found it rather refreshing. The Qi and Blood circulating through his entire body flowed perfectly, boiling with ever-increasing vigor. Without a moment’s hesitation, he brought his saber down in another slash!

"BOOM!"

The slash descended with the booming roar of a dragon.

Visible shockwaves of True Qi swept outwards. Beneath Zheng Jun’s ferocious strike, blood sprayed into the air. A head, still wearing a twisted expression of absolute shock, rocketed toward the sky amid a geyser of crimson.

The headless corpse staggered to its knees before collapsing limply to the ground. THUD. It landed squarely amidst the banquet tables, splattering blood over the assorted wine and dishes.

As the severed head hit the ground, Patrolman Qi’s eyelids twitched just as his powerful assault arrived. Guo Ping was dead?! This...

There was no time for him to process the shock. Zheng Jun casually flicked his sleeve, shaking the sprayed blood off his Beirong Saber. His cold gaze then locked onto Patrolman Qi, making the man’s scalp tingle with dread.

But Patrolman Qi’s saber was already in motion; there was no stopping it now.

"Damn it, stopping now would just cement our enmity. I might as well follow through! This brat just killed Guo Ping; he must have exhausted a lot of True Qi. This strike might just end his life right here!" Patrolman Qi thought viciously, his movements accelerating. "I am a Copper Seal Patrol of the Six Gates. He won’t dare kill me!"

Watching Patrolman Qi’s incoming blade wind, Zheng Jun noticed a resemblance to the saber technique used by Garrison Command’s Commander Gu Chengqi during his fierce battle with Meng Xian. It was likely that so-called ’Seven Kills Saber.’

However, while the Seven Kills Saber had been incredibly ferocious in Gu Chengqi’s hands, Zheng Jun found it somewhat weak and feeble when wielded by Patrolman Qi.

"That is not how you use a saber technique!"

Zheng Jun let out a long howl. The edge of his saber flashed as his True Qi grew frantic. Blade winds flared up, transforming into a tidal wave of sharp edges that crashed down upon Patrolman Qi.

Seeing this, Patrolman Qi’s eyelids twitched. Left with no other choice, he braced himself and collided with the surging wave of blades.

"BANG!"

A violent gale erupted, instantly overturning the surrounding tables and chairs and sending food and wine flying into the air.

Patrolman Qi was sent flying backwards. Yet, almost like a relay race, Yan Rufeng—the furthest away and the last to act—arrived with his massive saber in hand. He was using the exact same Wave-Treading Blade Technique.

"Is this how you use the Wave-Treading Saber? Imbecile!"

Zheng Jun coldly snorted. Out of the three, Yan Rufeng, wielding the Wave-Treading Blade Technique, was actually the easiest to deal with. To Zheng Jun, Yan Rufeng’s assault was riddled with openings, making him no better than an ordinary Blood Refining Martial Artist.

Consequently, Zheng Jun simply retaliated with a backhand slash, treating Yan Rufeng to an authentic display of the Wave-Treading Blade Technique.

"Oh no!"

Staring down Zheng Jun’s surging Blade Intent, which crashed like furious waves against the shore, Yan Rufeng’s heart pounded wildly. In the blink of an eye, the True Qi throughout his entire body shattered, reducing his many years of arduous cultivation to absolute ruin.
