Chapter 24: The Arrow Is On The String

Stepping into the kitchen, I found it immaculately spotless—it was easy to tell that Shin Garei was a woman of high standards and refined tastes. Looking back at her as she leaned gently against the doorframe, radiating the irresistible charm of a mature woman, my heart skipped a beat. For a total beginner like me, that kind of sultry allure carried a lethal temptation. Gripping my bracelet, I cried out in my mind: "Summon Venus, Goddess of Love!"

At my call, Venus materialized before me. Offering a helpless look, she turned into a ray of iridescent divine light and entered my body.

"Do you know why I came here today?" I asked, looking into Shin Garei’s eyes.

"Why?" Shin Garei locked eyes with me, asking after a long pause.

"Because there’s something here I can’t stop thinking about. I just came to take a look!" A gentle, soft sigh instantly unlocked the doors to Shin Garei’s heart.

Shin Garei looked at me nervously, a faint flicker of excitement and anticipation barely hidden in her eyes: "If there’s something here you can’t stop thinking about... you can take her with you. Take her home!"

Walking up to her, I gazed into her slightly flustered eyes, leaned down, and whispered softly into her ear: "Maybe coming to find her was a mistake, but I fell for her long ago... can you save me?"

At that moment, I saw a clear shift in Shin Garei’s gaze. Her look of hesitant resistance vanished, replaced by a profound sense of relief. Reaching out to caress my cheek, she gazed at me in total enchantment, murmuring softly: "I think I’ve fallen deep into it too. Since we’re both so utterly lost, why not indulge ourselves just this once?"

Shin Garei tilted her head forward slightly, bringing her face less than a centimeter from mine. Her delicate lips trembled gently, on the verge of kissing mine. But just then, I did something completely unexpected: I gently held her shoulders, checked her forward lean, and looked over at the vegetables sitting in the sink.

"I think if I could taste Sister Garei’s delicious cooking right now, that would be true happiness," I said with a warm smile.

Shin Garei looked at me in surprise, seemingly puzzled by my restraint, but she didn’t push the matter. Nodding, she said, "Then go wait outside—I’ll get to cooking!"

I let out a soft laugh: "Then I’ll go explore the rest of your home!" Nodding, I turned and walked out.

Stepping into the main hall, my mind relaxed, and Venus reappeared before me. "What was that about just now?" I asked, completely bewildered.

Venus threw me a look of utter disdain and scolded angrily: "Look at the sky outside! Doing something so intimate right now—don’t you think it ruins the mood? Right now, you just need to subtly convey your romantic intent to her. Don’t act like a desperate pervert; that’ll only ruin her impression of you!"

Scratching my head in embarrassment, I quickly explained: "Don’t misunderstand! I didn’t have any dirty thoughts!"

"..." I was left completely speechless.

Looking around the room, Venus added: "Actually, Shin Garei has already accepted you in her heart. Don’t rush it all at once; keep up the great impression you’ve built. Let’s continue after dinner!"

I nodded, watching Venus vanish before my eyes.

Since the ingredients were pre-bought from the supermarket, the preparation was quick. Before long, Shin Garei called out that dinner was served. Walking into the spacious dining room, three dishes and a bowl of soup were already set on the table. Shin Garei smiled warmly: "Time was short, so I only made these few dishes. Come, try them out!"

Sitting down at the table, a wave of panic washed over me, but I forced a calm smile: "I completely trust Sister Garei’s cooking!" Hearing that, she beamed with joy and kept scooping food into my bowl until it piled up like a small mountain. I chuckled bitterly to myself—she’s feeding me like a pig! After dinner, we didn’t bother clearing the table—that was a job for the hourly maid. Shin Garei pulled me upstairs into a cozy mini-bar lounge. Touting a bottle of dry red wine like a prized treasure, she poured a glass, handed it to me, and leaned against the bar counter with a teasing smile: "Give it a taste—see if you can guess what wine this is!"

Oh no, who do I ask for help this time? Venus was the expert in romance, but when it came to fine wine, she wasn’t as knowledgeable as Athena! Better call Athena. Silently, I summoned Athena in my heart.

Athena answered the call and possessed my body. She first raised the glass to her nose for a light sniff, then took a small sip. Raising my head, I smiled at Shin Garei: "Impressive, a master-grade Cabernet Dry Red. A top-tier original South American dry red with a rich bouquet, featuring typical notes of pepper and blackcurrant, accompanied by mature fruity aromas and rich oakiness. It enters the palate smoothly, feeling rounded, full-bodied, and long-lasting—the absolute best wine to enjoy after a meal. This isn’t easy to get your hands on; where did you get it?"

Shin Garei offered a mysterious smile and poured herself a glass: "I have my ways, of course! You really are amazing—just one sip and you know exactly what wine it is. You must be a closet drinker." Saying that last sentence, she once again radiated that mature, enchanting charm.

"A drinker I may be, but alcohol never gets me drunk... yet when I meet a stunning beauty alongside fine wine, I’m bound to get intoxicated!" I reached out and took Shin Garei’s hand.

Shin Garei’s body trembled slightly, her eyes turning dreamy and hazy. Exhaling a soft, sweet breath, she asked softly: "So... are you drunk right now?"

"It’s not the wine that intoxicates, but the beauty of the companion!" Setting down my glass, I reached out and pulled her into my arms. The scent of each other’s bodies acted like a potent aphrodisiac. I leaned in and pressed my lips onto Shin Garei’s delicate mouth, greedily savoring the sweet nectar of this mature beauty.

The scene from my dream played out once again. Feeling my passion, Shin Garei lost herself in the moment once more. Her sweet tongue unconsciously slid into my mouth, our tongues intertwining like passionate lovers, hungrily savoring each other.

Suddenly, my mind felt a wave of relief, and I knew Athena had separated from my body. Standing off to the side, she stomped her delicate foot with a quiet huff: "Hmph, go on then, enjoy your romantic fling!" A faint hint of jealousy laced her words.

Free from possessive control, my mind instantly lost itself in Shin Garei’s fiery, passionate kiss, leaving me with zero capacity to care about anything else. Seeing me ignore her, Athena threw us a fierce glare and vanished from the room.

Shin Garei wrapped both arms around my neck, letting out soft, muffled moans. Meanwhile, my left arm held the beauty by her shoulders, while my right hand slid beneath her short skirt, caressing her fair, smooth thigh. Passionately kissing her, we stumbled toward the bedroom.

I pushed open the door while kissing Shin Garei, tumbling together with her onto the massive white bed. Right above her smooth legs was a slender T-back thong, her rounded hips falling straight into my grasping hands.

Shin Garei suddenly caught my hand, asking breathlessly: "Fuitsu... do you really love me?"

Sweat broke out on my forehead in sheer desperation. The arrow is loaded on the string and ready to shoot, yet she pauses right at the climax—isn’t this driving me crazy?!

"Of course I love you! Ever since the day you interviewed me at the exam hall, I’ve been completely head over heels for you!" I said, looking straight into Shin Garei’s eyes with utter sincerity.
