Living With My Yandere Professor
Chapter 160: I Skin Him Alive
Seeing this scene, Scarlett slumped onto the chair, thinking the siblings were about to panic and start blaming each other.
Unexpectedly, in the next moment, Catherine casually placed the packaging she was holding on the floor.
"It’s fine, not a big deal."
Now it was Scarlett’s turn to be stunned.
"???"
She knew that this commemorative-edition whiskey was worth twenty to thirty thousand yuan, and it wasn’t guaranteed that you could buy it even if you had the money.
Andrew also had an indifferent attitude.
"Anyway, Dad didn’t spend the money himself. He wouldn’t dare drink it at home even if he hid it."
"..."
For some reason, Scarlett felt a little sorry for John, the father, at that moment.
After breakfast, Andrew lay comfortably on Scarlett’s lap, completely at ease, leaving only the bored Catherine alone.
"How about we play one of the activities we agreed on last night?" Catherine suddenly suggested.
Scarlett didn’t answer, but looked down at Andrew, who was lying on her lap.
Andrew was holding a bag of potato chips. After eating one himself, he fed another chip to Scarlett.
This sight made Catherine feel a tightness in her chest; it was particularly uncomfortable.
But she was truly too bored. Going back to the bedroom meant doing nothing more than sleeping or playing on her phone.
After hesitating for a moment, Andrew replied lightly,
"I’m not very good at poker. It’ll be boring if I keep losing."
"It doesn’t have to be poker. We can also play mahjong or Werewolf, anything."
"But those all require at least four people. How can we play with just the three of us?"
After speaking, Andrew handed another chip to Scarlett, then shifted his body slightly to lie down more comfortably.
"Let’s just watch TV and rest. It’s not like we absolutely have to play games."
"..."
Looking at Andrew like that, Catherine really wanted to say:
You get to be close to Scarlett all the time, what about me!?
Am I not human!?
But she couldn’t blame Andrew for this; she was the one who hadn’t found a boyfriend.
It was mainly because Andrew had spoiled her. Once she found a partner, she inevitably compared them to Andrew.
After comparing them, Catherine felt the other person wasn’t even worth one hair on Andrew’s head.
It was one thing that they weren’t as handsome as her little brother. They also couldn’t cook well, didn’t have much of a sense of humor, and were as dull as a block of wood.
Although Catherine was often driven half to death by Andrew, because they had always quarreled, she had grown accustomed to that feeling deep down.
Even when looking for a boyfriend, she hoped he would be the type who liked to play pranks and be a little wicked.
With all these requirements combined, the only man who met Catherine’s criteria was her own younger brother.
But she couldn’t date her own brother, could she? That would be unethical.
Moreover, Andrew already had Scarlett as his perfect girlfriend, so Catherine remained single.
After sighing inwardly, Catherine suddenly suggested,
"Hey! How about I call Sweety over to play with us?"
"Hmm..."
Andrew didn’t answer immediately. It wasn’t that he disliked Sweety, but having an outsider present made him worry that Scarlett might mind.
So he looked up at Scarlett and asked for her opinion.
"Teacher, what do you think?"
"It’s fine. If she’s free, she can come. But I think today is the first day of the Lunar New Year; most people have family obligations, right?"
"Don’t worry, she’s definitely free!"
Hearing that both of them agreed, Catherine immediately called Sweety. As long as she could call over another single person, she wouldn’t be lonely anymore.
Hahaha! I’m so smart!
In less than twenty minutes, a knock sounded at the door. When Catherine opened it, Sweety, dressed in a cashmere coat and meticulously styled, walked in.
"Hey? Why are you here so fast? And why are you dressed so beautifully?"
Catherine looked at Sweety’s appearance and expressed her confusion.
Her words caused Andrew and Scarlett to also look toward the door.
Andrew also found it a bit strange. When they were at school before, Sweety’s attire had been very casual, adhering only to the principle of staying warm.
She either dressed that way to avoid attracting too much attention, like Scarlett, or she was simply lazy and didn’t want to dress up properly.
She was the same as Catherine. No wonder the two of them got along.
After Sweety entered and closed the door, she explained,
"Because I just escaped from a blind date."
"A blind date during the New Year?" Catherine asked doubtfully.
Sweety immediately frowned upon hearing this, wearing an expression of dissatisfaction.
"It’s all my dad’s fault! He insisted I go on a blind date. I couldn’t even refuse. He said that if I didn’t go, I wouldn’t be allowed to come home, so I had no choice but to go."
"So you ran away because the other person was very ugly? Or very lousy?" Catherine asked curiously.
"Not really. That guy seems to have studied abroad at some school... Anyway, he sounded very impressive, but I didn’t like him. As soon as I heard your call, I slipped out immediately."
From Sweety’s vague description of the other person, Andrew knew that the guy probably hadn’t even registered in her mind.
"Then did you tell that guy you were leaving? Just leaving like that isn’t very polite, is it?"
Scarlett suddenly asked Sweety. She felt that even if she didn’t like him, she shouldn’t be too impolite.
Who knew Sweety would reply,
"Who cares! If he holds a grudge against me, that’s even better. Then there’s absolutely no chance between us, and my dad won’t have to keep pushing me anymore."
Catherine: "6."
Andrew: "Poet holds."
Scarlett: "..."
After Andrew made his sarcastic remark, he hugged Scarlett.
"Teacher is still the best, not like these two bad women."
Catherine and Sweety: "You’re even less of a good person!"
"What are you talking about!"
The four of them played everything from Fight the Landlord to Mahjong, and then Werewolf, in the living room.
They originally thought that Scarlett, who was usually cold, would be the worst player, perhaps not even knowing how to play.
It turned out that Andrew was the worst player. He even suspected he was being set up, losing every game no matter what he played.
"Damn it! I’m not playing anymore!"
After losing again, Andrew flopped down and lay on top of Scarlett.
"Hey, Boss, don’t be a sore loser. It’s just one game of Mahjong you lost. You can’t handle losing that much."
"I haven’t won a single game, okay?"
Andrew complained. The four of them were playing Mahjong on their phones—Happy Mahjong—so theoretically, no one could cheat.
But Andrew kept losing, giving him the feeling that he was being set up by some massive conspiracy.
"Then don’t play. We’ll play with Scarlett. You can go make lunch."
Catherine promptly kicked Andrew out.
But Andrew refused. "I’m not going. If you want to eat, order takeout yourselves."
"Please, it’s the first day of the Lunar New Year. Where are you going to order takeout from?"
Catherine’s words made Andrew frown immediately, as he still felt very unwilling deep down.
But he had no choice but to prepare lunch, as he and Scarlett still needed to eat.
Helplessly, he got up to prepare lunch.
However, when he opened the refrigerator, he discovered that it was completely empty, with hardly any ingredients left.
"Well, now we really have nothing to eat for lunch."
Hearing Andrew say this, Catherine also lost her composure and quickly jumped off the sofa, heading toward the kitchen.
"What’s wrong? Is there nothing left?"
"What else do you think is here? You don’t even care whether there are ingredients. Now we only have pork loin and some scallions left. What can we make?"
Andrew leaned against the refrigerator door, looking speechlessly at Catherine.
"How about we go to the supermarket?"
"Go to what supermarket? Are supermarkets even open today?"
"Then what do we do?"
"Instant noodles or starve. You choose one."
Andrew raised an eyebrow at Catherine.
At this moment, Sweety and Scarlett also walked over.
Scarlett, who wasn’t a picky eater, said to Andrew, "If there’s really nothing else, eating instant noodles is fine."
The moment Andrew heard this, his expression instantly changed. "How can that be? If anyone eats instant noodles, it should be my sister. She can handle a lack of nutrition. It would be a waste if she ate anything else anyway."
Catherine, who had been subtly insulted, immediately became displeased. "What do you mean by that?"
Just then, Sweety suddenly said, "Since we have pork loin, we can make dumplings!"
Andrew tugged at the corner of his mouth upon hearing this. "That’s a great suggestion. So, where are you going to conjure up dumpling wrappers from?"
"I have some left in my refrigerator. We can use them to wrap dumplings for the four of us."
Hearing that Sweety really had a way to produce dumpling wrappers, Andrew’s expression instantly brightened. "That works!"
He then glanced at Catherine, who was being restrained by Scarlett. "Much better than some good-for-nothing glutton who only knows how to eat."
"Scarlett, don’t hold me back! I must skin him alive today!"
