Living With My Yandere Professor

Chapter 144: Reach Home

  • Next Chapter

As Scarlett went downstairs, she suddenly said to Andrew, who was still standing at the doorway, "Little Drew, go check if the main circuit breaker inside is off. I think I forgot to check."

"Oh."

Andrew went back inside to check. When he came out again, Scarlett and Catherine had already gone downstairs.

Just as Andrew was about to pick up Catherine’s luggage and head downstairs, he lifted the small suitcase and almost thought he was lifting an ox.

"Holy crap!!!"

Andrew quickly stumbled and placed the suitcase back on the ground to prevent himself from falling. "What is in here? Why is it so heavy?"

He quickly opened the suitcase to check if Catherine had deliberately put a few stones inside to mess with him.

However, when he opened it, he found it was even worse than if she had put stones in it.

The entire suitcase was filled with Catherine’s postgraduate entrance exam books and study materials—thick and heavy—and Andrew couldn’t throw them away.

"I knew that stinky woman had bad intentions! No wonder she left this small suitcase for me."

Andrew gritted his teeth in anger, but there was nothing he could do now. He had to grit his teeth and carry the heavy suitcase downstairs.

After going through immense effort to reach the ground floor, Andrew was already panting and covered in sweat.

Catherine looked at him with a surprised expression. "Oh! Little brother, are you okay? Why are you so tired from just carrying luggage? Could it be kidney deficiency?"

Andrew held the handle of the suitcase with one hand and leaned heavily on it with the other, constantly gasping for breath while staring intently at Catherine.

"If you have kidney deficiency, you should have said so earlier. Then I wouldn’t have needed you to carry it; I could have carried it myself."

Catherine said with a mischievous grin, then proudly took the suitcase.

Finally, when they got into the car, she felt completely refreshed.

If he dares to call me flat-chested again, the feeling of revenge is truly satisfying!

Scarlett, seeing Andrew panting and flushed, knew that Catherine had tricked him again.

She didn’t say much. She simply let Andrew sit in the front passenger seat to rest while she drove.

After recovering for a while, Andrew’s heart rate gradually stabilized, and he took a sip of water.

At the same time, he secretly vowed in his heart to make Catherine pay.

When they first started driving, the three chatted about random things in the car, but it quickly turned into a conversation between just Andrew and Scarlett.

Catherine, sitting in the back seat, was gradually treated like she wasn’t even there.

So boring~~~

Why do Little Brother and Scarlett have endless things to talk about? Don’t they spend time together every day?

Gradually, Catherine slumped down alone in the back seat and fell asleep.

It wasn’t until it got dark that Catherine slowly woke up.

Andrew was driving now, and they had already entered a service area, preparing to get something to eat to fill their stomachs.

But the service area they stopped at was too rudimentary; it didn’t even have a small shop, only hot water and a restroom.

Fortunately, Andrew had prepared instant noodles in advance, so the three of them wouldn’t have to keep starving.

"Little Brother, why didn’t you stop at a nicer service area? This one is too basic."

"The car is almost out of gas, and we’re just stopping to eat something quickly. There’s no need to waste time. We’ll get back on the road right after."

"It’s just that this place looks so gloomy."

Catherine looked around at how few people were in the entire service area. The hot water room was also incredibly crude, and with some trash left behind by inconsiderate people in the corner, it looked even eerier and more terrifying.

She originally wanted Andrew to help her prepare her instant noodles while she went to the restroom, but she ran back shortly after leaving.

"Are you going to the restroom?"

"Not going, not going! It’s too dark and scary in there. I’ll just hold it until we get home and use the toilet."

As Catherine spoke, she leaned closer to Scarlett, grabbing her arm while nervously looking around.

At that moment, Andrew suddenly said to her, "Older Sister, do you know what’s scarier than a ghost here?"

"Wha... what is it? Don’t scare me!" Catherine was already trembling with fear.

Then Andrew suddenly pulled Scarlett toward him and kissed her directly.

"What’s scarier is that you’re the only single dog here."

For some reason, after being startled by Andrew, Catherine was no longer afraid.

She simply stopped talking, becoming completely silent.

Even the public restroom she had originally been too scared to enter, she walked into alone without saying a word.

"Maybe I should go check on Catherine. It’s too dark for her to go in alone, and I’m worried something might happen."

Scarlett prepared to follow her to check on her, just in case Catherine fainted from fright in the restroom.

Andrew waved his hand, indicating it wasn’t necessary.

"It’s fine. As long as her phone’s flashlight is on, she won’t be scared to death. The two of us can just eat our instant noodles."

After hearing Andrew say that, Scarlett stopped worrying and began eating her instant noodles with relief.

Since this little fellow said it was fine, then it must truly be fine.

Catherine was an adult; she probably wouldn’t faint from fright.

After a brief rest, the three of them continued on the highway back home.

The journey was very quiet. By midnight, when Andrew drove them home, Catherine hadn’t spoken another word.

Andrew’s parents were waiting at the entrance of the residential complex. Seeing Andrew roll down the window, Alexa had a smile on her face. Although she often complained about him, he was, after all, her own son.

Alexa was about to go greet them, but she turned and saw John leaning against the wall, dozing off. Annoyed, she kicked him directly.

"Wake up. Go help the kids move their luggage."

John rubbed his face. After sobering up a bit, he replied, "Oh."

Watching this scene, Scarlett pursed her lips, trying hard not to laugh. At the same time, she understood where Andrew got his usual flippant demeanor from.

Catherine was the first to get out of the car. Carrying her backpack and suitcase, she walked silently into the complex with her head down.

Her solitary figure looked quite pitiful.

"What’s wrong with your sister? Did she get dumped? Why does she look so lost?" Alexa asked Andrew when she saw this.

"No, no. She’s a Tyrannosaurus Rex; who would want her? She’s just tired and wants to go to sleep."

Andrew said this while raising an eyebrow triumphantly at Catherine as she walked away.

Seeing Andrew’s expression, Alexa knew that Catherine was acting like this because Andrew had most likely tricked her again.

However, she didn’t pursue it. Both children were grown up, so she didn’t need to interfere too much.

Besides, her star pupil was also returning today.

When Scarlett got out of the car and saw Alexa, she nodded and greeted her.

"Hello, Teacher."

This was the first time Andrew had seen the gentle and reserved Scarlett. He stayed quietly to the side, not daring to interrupt.

"No need to be so reserved. This isn’t school anymore, and you’re a teacher yourself now."

Alexa spoke with a smile while ushering them inside.

During the process, Scarlett intended to greet John as well, but Alexa directly told her to ignore the man and pulled her into her own bedroom.

She then kicked John out to sleep with Andrew.

Andrew took a shower and returned to his bedroom. He expected his father to be asleep already, so he carefully opened the door.

However, as soon as he entered the bedroom, he heard noisy sounds.

"Call the landlord!"

"This hand must be super doubled!"

"Follow!"

"..."

Andrew walked to the bedside speechlessly, watching his father play Fight the Landlord.

He had clearly heard that the game of Fight the Landlord had just started when he entered the room. By the time he climbed onto the bed and looked at John’s phone, John had already been reduced to just one bomb left.

"Playing cards so fast?"

"Of course! I’m an expert! I’ve been playing fight the landlord for decades. Winning against these little rookies online is easy-peasy."

Just as John finished boasting, the opponent threw down a King Bomb.

"It’s fine. He still has twelve cards; he can’t win instantly. No matter what he plays, I throw a bomb and I win."

As John calmly explained, the opponent immediately countered by playing a twelve-card airplane. The game-over screen instantly popped up on the phone.

The bedroom fell terrifyingly silent for a moment.

A moment later, Andrew couldn’t help but let out a light chuckle. "Hmm, expert! Truly an expert!"
