Live Streaming Academy
Chapter 367: Academy’s Training Facility
Solomon navigated the academy campus and arrived at the primary Training Facility.
This building was entirely different from the standard outdoor training arenas or the lecture halls. This facility was packed with high-end, magical training equipment and specialized containment chambers designed for students to lock themselves in seclusion, perform challenges, and complete tasks given by their fans.
For the students who opted not to travel to the Eastern Realms or the Magic Towers, they remained at the academy to focus on theoretical studies and building their live streaming careers rather than prioritizing life-threatening strength.
One of the most popular methods these students used to generate engaging, flashy content for their streams was entering the specialized Simulation Chambers. Inside these rooms, they could safely select and fight a holographic monster. Because it was a hard-light magical simulation, they could farm viewer donations without ever having to worry about actually getting hurt or dying.
[1Fizzy: simulation stream let’s go!]
[James_hayes: bro is going to break the machine.]
[Mezz_3863: Solo Man in a safe space? boring.]
[sgtcwby : he looks so annoyed already lol.]
Solomon was rather offended by the entire concept. The deep frown on his face made his disdain glaringly obvious. To him, fighting without the threat of death was utterly pointless. However, he had nothing else to do in the meantime until the inter-dimensional portals opened.
Furthermore, a viewer had just dropped a massive incentive.
[System: GoonLord has issued a live challenge! Clear an S-rank simulation in under five minutes! Reward: 1 Diamond Crown (5,000 Points) & 1 ’Aura-Condensation Ring’!]
"An Aura-Condensation Ring?" Solomon muttered, reading the glowing blue text. "I do not know what that does, but free gear is free gear. Challenge accepted."
Solomon walked into the facility lobby. He saw the main reception desk and walked right past it, assuming it was closed since there was no one attending it.
"Hey, where do you think you are going?" a voice called out sharply.
Solomon stopped and looked around. He scanned the lobby, checking behind the pillars and near the seating areas, but he didn’t see anyone. He raised a brow, walked closer to the reception desk, and peered over the counter. He looked up and down, but there was still no one there.
"I am not here, so there is no need to look for me," the voice echoed from a small, glowing crystal embedded in the desk. "Why are you here?"
"I want to test the facility," Solomon responded, leaning against the counter.
"Write your name down in the magical register on the desk and then enter the west wing," the voice instructed. "If you want to use the Simulation Chambers, the beginner D-rank rooms require a 500-point entry fee. The required amount will increase depending on which rank chamber you choose to enter."
[LazyCat: pay to play mechanics.]
[User12: the academy loves taking your points.]
[GamerGuy: 500 points just to fight a hologram?]
[NewbHunter: it is worth it for the content.]
Now Solomon felt a bit curious and eager to test them out. If the simulation chambers functioned exactly like different ranked dungeons, it was actually the perfect way to pass the time and warm up his muscles before returning to the real Martial World.
Solomon grabbed the enchanted quill, signed his name in the register, and walked into the west wing.
He navigated the long, brightly lit corridors housing the Simulation Chambers.
He walked past the D-rank sector which almost every single room was currently in use, indicated by the glowing red runes above the doors. He reached the C-rank sector, which was also heavily occupied, with only a few vacant chambers. The B-rank sector was roughly half-full, with several doors marked ’Under Maintenance’. The A-rank sector was noticeably quieter, with only a small handful of rooms actively occupied by confident upperclassmen.
Solomon kept walking forward until he reached the very end of the corridor. He stood before the reinforced doors of the S-rank chambers. Only two of the ten available rooms were currently in use.
[Foodball: S-rank territory!]
[Nick: nobody wants to risk the points.]
[Ron_Selby: those rooms are expensive.]
Solomon wondered if the sector was empty simply because it was still too early in the morning, or perhaps because the students didn’t want to risk trying the S-rank chamber. They would have to pay a massive upfront fee and potentially lose all those points if they failed the simulation without learning anything or gaining enough viewer donations to cover the cost.
Solomon stopped in front of an empty S-rank chamber. The glowing digital screen mounted on the heavy door displayed the rank and a steep 5,000-point entry fee.
Without hesitation, Solomon pushed the door open and walked inside.
The moment he crossed the threshold, his silver owl immediately detached from his shoulder. The drone flew high up toward the vaulted ceiling and perched securely on a designated, elevated bracket. Its crystal eyes lit up brightly. The 5,000 points were automatically deducted from his academy account, and a 30-minute countdown timer materialized in the air.
"Panoramic View activated," a robotic, automated voice announced from the ceiling speakers. "This combat simulation will be recorded and streamed live in a full 360-degree view utilizing the chamber’s integrated camera network."
Solomon walked over to a sleek, glowing console mounted on the side wall. The large screen displayed his own live stream feed, with the rapidly scrolling chat box docked right beside it.
Below the stream preview were the chamber’s environmental and simulation settings. He could choose his own personal preferences: he could mute his own audio and broadcast only the chamber’s ambient sound, select specific, dynamic camera angles for the live stream, turn off the chat overlay entirely for less distraction, or even play background music during the fight.
There were numerous other advanced settings, but Solomon didn’t seem interested in tweaking the production value.
[What are you going to fight, Solo Man?]
"It is my first time in here, and I honestly do not even know how this machine works," Solomon responded, tapping the console screen. "So I am just going to mess around with the menus first."
There were many different menus and sub-categories, but Solomon quickly selected the ’Monsters’ tab.
A pop-up notification appeared on the screen, explaining the parameters: he could fight the preset monsters or select and fight monsters he had personally encountered and officially registered while his live stream was active.
Since this was an S-rank simulation chamber, he could either choose an inherent S-rank opponent from his logs, or select a lower-ranked mob and artificially increase its difficulty scaling up to the S-rank threshold.
He scrolled through his available roster. There was the Winter Snow Serpent, though its specific monster rank was vaguely classified, even though it hailed from an A+ rank rift. Below that were the various lesser dungeon bosses from the Eden labyrinth he had cleared on his first day.
He had the option to drastically increase their difficulty modifiers.
And then, sitting at the very top of his restricted list, was the Undead Paladin.
