Chapter 419
When Lu Xinyi received a phone call from Tang Shui that Zheng Yue hadn’t agreed to accept the campaign for Flair Apparel, she told him that she would convince the celebrity by herself and wished to meet Zheng Yue at Flair Apparel’s main store.
Tang Shui easily agreed to her request and set a meeting between two women.
Now, it was time for Lu Xinyi to meet this aloof celebrity. Taking back her disguise as Lu Feiran, Lu Xinyi made sure that ‘his’ appearance was appropriate enough. Not many people knew about her being the real owner of Flair Apparel; facing them as Lu Feiran would be more convincing than informing the public that an amateur chef ran this business.
However, it was her husband was displeased on her decision. As he watched his wife transformed into a charming young man. Her long hair was replaced once again by Lu Feiran’s ash-blond hair. Shen Yi was tempted to trap ‘him’ with his arms and the wall behind his wife and kiss her senseless to remind her to whom she belonged to.
“Do you really have to meet them as Lu Feiran?” he asked, annoyed that her free time with him was taken by another again.
“Hmm… I have to. I also want to know why Zheng Yue declined the campaign,” Lu Feiran adjusted his dress shirt and slipped his arms on his coat. “I’ll be home before dinner.”-.
Shen Yi crossed his arms and stared at his wife’s back.
“You’ll just flirt again with Wang Zhuyi.” He still couldn’t understand why everyone wanted a piece of his wife.
Lu Xinyi giggled, turned back to him to place a kiss on his cheek.
“I can’t go out on a date with other men; now I can’t meet other women? Hubby is too possessive.”
Shen Yi grabbed Lu Feiran’s arm and pulled him against him. He adjusted the top button on Lu Feiran’s dress shirt and ignored the blush that stained his wife’s cheeks. He couldn’t help but lean forward and kissed her with all his might just as what he was thinking to do earlier.
Kissing her was strangely addicting. It was driving him insane. He was somewhat tempted to peel off her manly clothes, throw her back to their bed, and ravish her. He could not deny what she said, that he was truly possessive of her.
Other people didn’t want him. In their eyes, he was kind of a devil that could ruin them. However, this woman—his wife—was the only one who wanted to stay by his side. He didn’t want her to be scared or intimidated by him. Anyone else but her. He didn’t think he couldn’t stand it if she ended up hating him.
Lu Xinyi pulled away and panted, her forehead laid on his shoulder.
“I should go.”
Lu Xinyi stepped out of their bedroom as Lu Feiran. He bid goodbye to their Akita dogs and pet Xiao Bai who was staring at him with curious eyes. Xiao Bai thought that this present incarnation of her mistress was amusing. She retained her fiery and mischievous attitude, but her body was the opposite of what the fox woman had.
Didn’t his original mistress had a voluptuous body that could make any man drool? The fox woman used to tease her husband by shameless shoving his face on her massive melons? In her presence, the courageous and fierce general could become a meek lamb, ready to be devoured by her.
So how was it that on their present incarnations, it was reversed? His mistress was now not ‘blessed’ on that department and loved crossdressing as a man, and the general became a coldhearted but shameless businessman.
Really, this couple was interesting beyond expectations, Xiao Bai thought.
When Lu Feiran arrived at Flair Apparel, Xia Yuhan welcomed him and led him upstairs where Zheng Yue and Wang Zhuyi were waiting. Standing across the two women, Lu Feiran introduced himself.
“Sorry for waiting, ladies. Let me introduce myself to you, Miss Zheng, since I’ve previously met Miss Wang before. I’m Lu Feiran, Flair Apparel’s big boss.” He lifted a hand to give the celebrity a handshake.
Zheng Yue stood up from her seat with elegance. Lu Feiran gave her a good look: long slick hair that reached her waist, clear and spotless skin without makeup on, and long shapely legs that look better than the previous model he’d seen. Her face was one filled with indifference as if she rather be somewhere else than here.
Zheng Yue accepted the handshake and sat back on her previous seat while Wang Zhuyi’s cheeks heated up as she saw Lu Feiran again. Lu Feiran sat across them with one leg draped to the other. Xia Yuhan also took her seat beside him as the head fashion designer of the brand.
“Brother Fei, thank you for considering me on this campaign. I’ll do my best.” She shyly glanced at Lu Feiran’s face.
“Thank you, Miss Wang. I knew I can always count on you,” Lu Feiran gave her a half-smile. He turned to Xia Yuhan. “Miss Xia, didn’t you say you needed to take Miss Wang’s measurements again to customize the dresses you’ve already planned to use?”
Xia Yuhan’s eyes lit up and clapped her hands excitedly.
“Yes, yes, I almost forgot! Miss Wang, do you mind following me and see if our new designs are to your liking?”
Wang Zhuyi smiled and followed Xia Yuhan outside, leaving Lu Feiran and Zheng Yue at the office with Zheng Yue’s assistant.
“Yue’er,” Zhang Yue’s assistant was worried about why this man insisted the Griffin Entertainment to have Zheng Yue work for him. Zheng Yue had recently declined some offers, but Tang Shui forced Zheng Yue to meet Lu Feiran first before she declines Flair Apparel’s campaign.
“Mr. Lu, I’m sorry for declining the offer,” Zheng Yue offered her apology. “It isn’t that I’m not interested in your campaign, but as you know I’m currently looking for someone…”
“I understand what you mean, Miss Zheng; but that is also the reason why I insist on meeting you.”
Zheng Yue remained calm, waiting for Lu Feiran to say his proposition on this matter.
“What if I told you I can give you the deepest desire in your heart? Would you reconsider and accept the campaign and be the new face of Flair Apparel?” Lu Feiran asked as he thanked the boutique staff for preparing and serving their guests.
With a teacup on his hand, Lu Feiran leaned back on the couch with a relaxed poise. Zheng Yue watched him sipped his drink, weighing the possibilities that this man might find what she was looking for.
She closed her eyes, fighting the tears threatening to fall. It wasn’t like she couldn’t afford to hire a detective to find her birth mother. What she wanted was her mother to show herself up to her and to see her regret her decision abandoning her when she was young. It would be useless if she was the one to find her mother. Her pride wouldn’t allow her to do so.
