"Baron Lawrence, do you want to drink..."

Her awkward attempt at small talk, pretending nothing happened, was cut short when the man behind the desk swirled toward her in a whirlwind, pulling her into his chest.

"Damn it, where did you run off to?"

Enna Clark’s ears almost went deaf.
