Limitless Summoner System

Chapter 151: Death Valley (1)

Back on Vexarra, Tommy V made a phone call to the dean. He was offering Tyler one million credits for an interview and a 5% commission for the dean. Although he wasn’t certain when he’d be back or if he’d even do it, he signed the paperwork. Tommy didn’t care Tyler was away. He just wanted the interview.

Despite the dean’s pleas to get his wives involved, that’s not what the streamer wanted. He wanted an exclusive one-on-one with the only summoner in existence.

The Necrams remained stationary and didn’t expand on their territory. They were refilling their tanks with power and pleased with what one race’s worth of people and a portion of the planet brought them. They weren’t going to use it, but this was their usual routine.

School proceeded as normal while the students who signed up to fight began training with the military. Students began rigorously training while receiving a formal exemption from school. They were also being paid, just not very well. 2,000 credits per month was lower than the average cost of living, so the board of directors made all housing for students in the war free.

The non-ability army refused to assist. After three top generals in the ability army negated all of their attacks, it was a meaningless exercise. No matter how hard they tried or what they attempted, if it wasn’t enough for three generals, what was the point of them attacking an alien army that could drain power?

After spending a night in Isis’ mansion, Tyler and the girls took a drink out of one of the jugs and ate a meal prepared for them by Tyler’s new familiar’s staff. Not everyone was thrilled Isis was leaving, but they trusted Osiris enough that it was acceptable. After they ate, they continued the trek west.

Tyler found it boring killing beasts at this point. His wives were in a routine of kill, rinse, repeat. If anything, it was getting slightly annoying. He imagined this faction wouldn’t be very difficult for them either. He had 11 familiars now, and Alexandria allowed him to turn into a dragon. He didn’t even want to imagine what he’d turn into if he linked with Isis, as she was more of a healing type Eidolon. He just imagined himself as a woman, which caused him to laugh.

[30% map completion.]

"There it is," Isis said quietly.

"You do realize no one else can hear us, right?" Tyler laughed.

"Shut up! They have a telepathic user," she snapped back.

Despite their blown cover, Tyler literally just commanded them all to exit him, and Isis healed from the back. The entire faction came pouring out. Dragons, pterodactyl-like creatures, wyverns, goliaths, minotaurs. None of it mattered. They were simply too powerful. Tyler wondered why Bahamut just didn’t come clean this mess up himself, then he remembered the system quest bonus he received and how close Ash was to evolving. It didn’t take longer than 30 minutes for the Death Valley base camp to burn to ashes. Their leader came out, a hydra, and turned into his Eidolon form.

"What is the meaning of this, you asshole?" he said as Tyler cut his heads off, only to watch 2 heads appear where there was only one.

"Bahamut’s orders. Just doing a job." Tyler smirked.

"So what? We steal and destroy other factions. Why has he now suddenly decided to police this?" the Eidolon demanded.

"Probably because there’s an Apocalypse going on the planet Vexarra. Why fight amongst yourselves when you could be set free?" Tyler asked while tapping his staff on his shoulder.

"That staff..."

"Yeah, yeah. It’s famous. So are Ash and most of my other Eidolons." Tyler wasn’t in the mood for another history lesson.

"Well, I demand a meeting with Bahamut," the Eidolon barked.

Ash appeared. "Sure, I’ll take you right up to my dad and tell him your masked Eidolons tried to rob us blind. I’m sure that will go really well, Fex."

"Fuck you, Seraphim!"

"Well, these two get along really well..." Sophie giggled.

"Shut the fuck up!" Fex shouted.

Tyler got pissed and started attacking Fex. He sliced his arms and legs off, only to watch them regenerate at a great rate.

Isis appeared. "No use, Tyler. He’ll just keep regenerating. If you cut off his heads, even in this form, he’ll just spawn more. The only way to kill him is..."

"How about you shut up, Isis?" Fex snarled.

"Form a contract with him and your secret is safe with me," she said while wrapping vines around his arms and legs effortlessly.

{Ping! You have completed "Defeat Death Valley." You are now Rank SS. All stats are 90 with the exception of Mana. That remains 99.} Amanda smiled at her notification.

{Ping! Your Limitless Demonic System is now SS rank! Congratulations. All stat points are 95.}

[Congratulations, Tyler. You have completed the quest assigned to you by the Dragon god. You have ridded another faction of dark magic. Your stats have increased by 15. Ash will undergo another evolution. He will be at 85% of his normal strength.]

"Shit, I forgot. You all use dark magic! What the fuck is really going on here?" Tyler barked while holding his staff to Fex’s neck.

"I can’t control what the minions do!" he pleaded sincerely.

Ash caught fire, but no one worried about that anymore. He was glad no one else was in the area because he was now larger and his white flames were gone. His majestic red body burned with vibrant blue flames, and everyone could feel the heat.

"Damn!" Nyx said in amazement. "He’s getting more and more impressive with each evolution."

"I swear, I had nothing to do with the dark magic. Certainly one of your beautiful wives has a charm spell? They have lovely rings!" Fex said in a panic.

"Let your guard completely down and we have a deal." Tyler cheerfully smirked. "Kass, go do your thing."

’System, charm Fex.’
