Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 465 - 264: Claiming Sovereignty
Chapter 465: Chapter 264: Claiming Sovereignty
Nathan Foster walked up to South Grant, reaching out to grasp South’s wrist tightly. Despite South’s struggle, Nathan held firm, his eyes fixed on Caleb Holt.
"Whether we continue or not is between the two of us. What’s it to you?"
"Nathan Foster, let go!" South Grant shouted to stop him.
Then Nathan turned his head, cupping the back of South’s head, and kissed him in front of Caleb.
When he lifted his head again, Nathan’s eyes were filled with coldness as he glanced sideways at Caleb.
"You talk about worldly opinions, sorry, I am not afraid."
After speaking, Nathan pulled South out of the tent.
Caleb’s hands clenched into fists, hanging tightly by his side.
Caleb wanted to rush over and pull South back, but what would happen if he did?
Could he really compete with that man?
Did he have that man’s powers?
He didn’t.
He was just a weakling who couldn’t even protect the person he wanted to protect.
Once outside the tent, South kicked at Nathan. "You’re insane, let go of me."
"If you don’t want the whole crew to see, you’d better behave." Nathan threatened.
South angrily bit her lower lip; she knew causing more commotion would surely alert the rest of the crew.
Nathan had a devil-may-care attitude; having just dared such actions in front of Caleb, it was likely that he wouldn’t care about the crew seeing it either.
South was about to explode with anger, but Nathan refused to let go, opened the car door, and threw her into the passenger seat.
Nathan then started the car and drove away.
This time, he didn’t go to that damned Cactus Forest. About an hour later, Nathan stopped in the middle of a vast desert, surrounded by nothing.
The two of them sat in silence, as quiet as the desert night, with not a sound to be heard.
After a long while, it was Nathan who broke the silence.
"I’m here to apologize."
"Not accepted." South replied without a second thought.
Who has ever seen such an attitude while apologizing?
In the past half-month, Nathan had been restless, finding temporary distraction in training during the day.
But once it was time to rest, the scenes from that night would involuntarily flood his mind.
South’s words were like daggers stabbing into his heart, making every breath painful.
It was Ivan Keller who noticed Nathan’s off-state and took the initiative to call Vincent to ask what was going on with Nathan.
Given Nathan’s usual prideful nature, he definitely wouldn’t have spoken up.
But at that moment, he was utterly confused about how to handle his feelings.
Nathan told Vincent, and as an expert in the field of psychology, Vincent provided Nathan with a very plausible reason.
That reason was that South was angry.
Angry because she cared, angry because she liked him.
What Nathan needed to do now was to coax her first, no matter what.
No matter how harsh South’s words were, they stemmed from her caring. Allowing South to sulk in anger would only leave room for others to take advantage.
That’s why Nathan came.
He just didn’t expect when he approached South, he found someone else already taking advantage.
At that moment, Nathan’s anger was like an animal’s instinct, with his first reaction being to assert his dominance.
