Chapter 450: Chapter 449: Taking You Somewhere

After filming that day, South Grant finished freshening up and was just about to go to sleep when he heard the sound of a car.

After a little while, Nathan Foster lifted the tent flap and entered.

"Why are you here now?" South Grant asked in surprise.

The signal here was poor, so the two hadn’t been in contact for some time.

Nathan Foster walked over, then took her hand, saying:

"Come on, I’ll take you somewhere."

South Grant had already removed her makeup, and upon seeing Nathan Foster intending to take her out, she reached for a hat and put it on.

As she went out, she pressed the brim of her hat low.

Just as they stepped out, Caleb Holt was emerging from his tent and saw South Grant with Nathan Foster.

Caleb Holt greeted them:

"South, are you going out?"

South Grant kept her head down, responding hastily:

"Yeah."

Without makeup, South Grant felt insecure, constantly fearing her identity would be uncovered.

Then Nathan Foster opened the car door, let South Grant get in, glanced back at Caleb Holt, moved around to the front of the car, and got into the driver’s seat.

The car soon started up; they were filming in a deserted city in the desert.

They were staying at the edge of this mud city, where there were no roads, so driving here required more attention.

Therefore, the car started slowly, and its speed did not accelerate as quickly as it would on flat roads.

At this moment, Caleb Holt saw South Grant’s profile.

Earlier she had her hat brim pressed low, but now, Caleb Holt could see her side profile.

Caleb Holt was momentarily stunned.

Perhaps because it was hard to see clearly at night, South Grant seemed different from usual.

Just as he was about to take a closer look, the car drove off.

Once the car was some distance away, South Grant took off the hat and asked Nathan Foster:

"Where are you taking me?"

"Do you know what day it is today?" Nathan Foster asked as he glanced at her while driving.

South Grant was taken aback, genuinely unaware of what day it was.

She had been busy filming, rushing to finish by the end of the month, and the schedule was tight.

She was in such a hurry she had lost track of time.

Seeing the look on South Grant’s face, Nathan Foster realized she had forgotten the day.

"What day is it exactly?" South Grant couldn’t figure it out.

"Think about it yourself," Nathan Foster did not tell him.

The car drove for a long time, and South Grant began to feel lost.

No, it shouldn’t be called lost; there was no road here, rather a loss of direction.

"Uncle, where are we going?"

"You’ll know when we get there," Nathan Foster maintained an air of mystery, then said, "If you’re tired, take a nap."

South Grant acknowledged with a small sound, then reclined the passenger seat and lay down to sleep.

South Grant was tired from filming during the day; there were no stunt doubles used by the crew, so she slept soundly.

The car drove for a long time before stopping, and only then did South Grant wake up.

She rubbed her eyes and looked around.

"Where are we?"

Having just woken up, she couldn’t see clearly.

Nathan Foster got out of the car, opened the door, and helped South Grant down.

Once South Grant was standing properly, she realized where they were.

Before her were numerous cacti, varying in height and size, stretching endlessly into the distance; the ones further into the cactus forest were even taller and larger, standing farther apart.

It was practically a cactus kingdom.

Some were flowering, some were not.

In all her life, it was the first time South Grant had seen so many cacti.

"Wow, Uncle, how did you find such a place?"
