Lighting Lanterns in the Mountains and Seas

Having briefed Xiao Sheng, Shi Chun was momentarily unsure of where to go. He fished out the Mother-child Talisman to contact the Red-clothed Woman, and asked where she was.

He had not contacted her in advance as he wanted to sneak in to see what the Red-clothed Woman was up to.

Naturally, he couldn't get in touch with her.

Meanwhile, Manxi and Dongguo Shou's group had already surrounded the 'Heavenly Immortal Garden' on the mountain, and had stormed inside.

The decision to see was already made, so Manxi was not holding back.

There were guards at the entrance, but no one dared to stop them; everyone recognized Manxi, who was still the Domain Master of the Heavenly Domain.

Feng Chi had not yet arrived, or rather, given the choice between two evils, she had opted to let Manxi and his group patrol here while she went to greet Kuang Yao Bi Dao.

The group barged into Heavenly Immortal Garden and immediately began a search. Two guards of Feng Xi urgently blocked the entrance to Feng Xi's room, both wearing masks.

Manxi tilted his head as a signal, and Mo Hei immediately stepped forward and shouted, "Who are you to dare to obstruct the Heavenly Domain inspection!"

The two Phoenix Clan accompanying did not move aside nor speak, but their hands grasped their swords, prepared to draw them at any moment.

Inside the room, Feng Xi was slowly covering his face, remaining silent, as he was unaware of what was happening, waiting for Feng Chi to arrive and resolve the situation.

Seeing resistance to the search, Mo Hei shouted once more, "The Domain Master of Heavenly Domain is personally inspecting the area. Who is in the room? Come out and submit to inspection!"

Knowing who was in the room, and mindful of the other's strength, he dared not act rashly.

Dongguo Shou glanced back at the disguised Elder Fan, and the two hid on the side without speaking.

Upon learning that the Domain Master of the Heavenly Domain had arrived, Feng Xi inside suddenly understood a bit and faintly spoke, "Manxi? Seems like you know who I am and are deliberately targeting me?"

In truth, among those who came, apart from a few informed leaders, the rest of the entourage didn't know what the actual purpose was.

Feng Xi's words made Manxi somewhat embarrassed; he had intended to surprise and expose the situation but Feng Xi pointed it out directly, meaning opposing the Phoenix Clan leader. Knowing that the leader would certainly find a chance to retaliate, and they would have the capability to do so.

Mo Hei also didn't know how to respond, so he turned back to look at Manxi for guidance.

After taking a deep breath, Manxi said, "To those inside, this seat does not know who you are. Some fled the Battle of Great Pardon out of cowardice and are still hiding. This seat's personal involvement this time is to carry out Heavenly Court's decree and clear out fugitives; no one is permitted to defy orders and obstruct the search." His gaze swept over the two Phoenix Clan at the door, and he said solemnly, "Clear the way for me immediately!"

Feng Xi's voice came out, "I am a guest of Dingnan Prefecture and not to be easily offended by anyone. Just because I claim to be the Left Minister of the Heavenly Court, does it mean I am? Your identities need verification, and wait for Feng Chi to confirm them, and any intruder with an unclear identity will be killed without mercy, starting with those who lead!"

"Yes!" The two Phoenix Clan attendants at the door responded in unison, drawing their swords and staring intently at Manxi, exposing killing intent.

This immediate reaction made Manxi tense, aware that if indeed these were close guards of the Phoenix Clan leader, they could easily overpower his own guards.

He hadn't expected the person inside to take such a straightforward approach to threaten his life.

The method, though simple and brutal, was directly effective.

Not just anyone can brazenly uphold protocol, and Manxi was not Shi Chun; each person's thoughts and response abilities vary.

Mo Hei also felt secretly alarmed, knowing the person inside was not speaking lightly, to dare issue a death order against the Domain Master of Heavenly Domain on its territory, showed gumption, and the person inside was most likely the Phoenix Clan leader.

Manxi's expression became somewhat unsightly, bringing such a crowd, and to end without daring confrontation would turn his ordeal into a joke.

He turned to Dongguo Shou, who had instigated him to cause trouble, hoping Dongguo Shou would step forward using the identity of Carefree Sect disciple to intimidate, but this Commander of Dingdong Mansion who had previously vowed to shout support and rally for him now was unresponsive.

Dongguo Shou also saw Elder Fan remaining indifferent, so he pretended not to notice.

The voice inside the room spoke again, "Where is Feng Chi, bring her over here immediately!"

Until now, he was somewhat angry, thinking that Feng Chi's absence was intentional, making him embarrassed in public on purpose.

Yes, call Feng Chi! Manxi also realized, turning back to shout, "Where are Shi Chun and Feng Chi, have them come here to account for themselves immediately!"

"Domain Master…" Outside the courtyard, Feng Chi's voice sounded, full of anxiety and fear.

Everyone turned to look, only to see Feng Chi hurriedly arriving, first running up to Manxi to apologize, "Forgive me, Domain Master, an important guest arrived suddenly, I had to greet them first."

What guest could be more important than the Domain Master's presence? Everyone's eyes turned towards the people behind her.

Behind her were several people, aside from Young Master Nan cautiously trailing as if uninvolved, others hid their true visage, either wrapped in cloaks or wearing masks.

The tall figure wrapped in a cloak was indeed Kuang Yao Bi Dao. Young Master Nan had previously given Feng Chi a confirmation signal, undeniably the Demon King.

Upon receiving them, Feng Chi realized that indeed, as the Master predicted, Kuang Yao was coming for Feng Xi.

He did not beat around the bush, with his first words asking her where Tianxian Garden was, without stating his purpose, directly ordering her to guide him.

Fortunately, there was instruction from Shi Chun earlier, she did not need to offend, just truthfully follow suit, resulting in the present scene.

The sword-drawn tension in the courtyard left Bi Dao's group slightly startled, and the older man in a gold belt among his men spoke, "Feng Chi, is this Heavenly Immortal Garden?"

It's hard not to be suspicious, if Feng Xi really is here, how could it end up like this?

Disguised as an armored soldier, Elder Fan Qingfeng's gaze fell on the gold belt around Old Chai's waist. Although Old Chai's face was concealed, the conspicuous gold belt hadn't been changed. His eyes then shifted from the familiar belt to the cloaked figure.

Seeing the tall stature, Elder Fan's eyes showed surprise, realizing something, he wanted to send a message to Dongguo Shou but held back, opting for manual instead, moving closer to tug on Dongguo Shou's sleeve, signaling him to step aside and not cause trouble.

The two slowly moved further away from Manxi.

Feng Chi dryly smiled and nodded, "Yes, it is indeed the Heavenly Immortal Garden."

The voice from inside the room rang out again, "Feng Chi, it's too noisy here, make them leave!"

He didn't want to come out and face the others.

Yet the moment he spoke, the tall cloaked figure immediately tilted his head, then raised his hand and waved the cloak's edge. Instantly, a gust of Gang Wind arose from the flat ground, but it didn't touch anyone's clothes; instead, the entire house before them rumbled and flew up, neatly tearing from the corners, the whole of it lifting and rolling towards the mountain below, startling the crowd gathered there to scatter, only to crash into and destroy several houses below before stopping.

The tearing and flying of the house were eerily quiet, as simple as tearing a piece of paper, while the sound of rolling and crashing was more noticeable.

The dust raised by the roll was instantly suppressed and pressed neatly back by the cloak's sleeve sweeping back, clearing the scene as if dust had never emerged.

The guests observed how freely the visitor could control the released power to such a realm, leaving most of the onlookers with hearts pounding as fighting capabilities aren't about the louder the better.

Manxi's eyes widened, his Adam's apple bobbing.

Feng Chi was equally embarrassed; treating this like your own home? This is the Heavenly Court's directly governed Dingnan Prefecture Commander Mansion. How can such a scene be justified on arrival?

But she dared not take the blame.

The two Phoenix Clan attendants guarding the door suddenly turned to look. Inside the hall where the house had flown from, the tables and chairs and other furniture were still neatly arranged in place, unaffected. Feng Xi, similarly cloaked, sat quietly at a round table, with not a speck of dust on the floor after the house was lifted.

The situation just now had not offended the scene within the room.

Feng Xi seemed bewildered by the sudden chaos, slowly turning his head to look at the person who acted.

A group of armored soldiers rushed in due to the commotion, Feng Chi hurriedly waved them away to dismiss those who came to cause trouble.

In a flicker, the tall cloaked figure appeared opposite the round table, seemingly teleporting, looming over the opposite cloaked figure. Without seeing the complete face, a sneering voice emerged: "Feng Xi, it's really you."

Feng Xi already knew who it was by the aura of the opponent's move, and now confirmed by the tall figure, he slowly stood up, coldly saying, "Bi Dao, what are you doing here?"

With those words, Manxi's group was so shocked they merely swallowed, not daring to speak recklessly.

Bi Dao laughed heartily, "This isn't your place either, I come as I please, you don't need to control me."

Feng Xi cast a glance at the direction where the house rolled away, huffing, "This isn't a place for you to behave recklessly."

Bi Dao: "Don't think those wings allow you to talk nonsense. I'm here with good intentions, only to see swords drawn as I arrive, thinking who dares act boldly here. How could I watch ordinary folks act rashly? I say, Feng Xi, what have you done to cause a group of heavenly soldiers to surround you?"

With one sentence, he cleared himself, Feng Chi also sighed in relief, otherwise she wouldn't know what to do, especially when someone dared lift a house in a Heavenly Court subordinate's residence, hard to explain if acting like nothing happened.

Meanwhile, she pulled out the Mother-child Talisman to check, immediately feeling overwhelmed, the message from Shi Chun said a bigshot from the Demon Realm had arrived, asking to handle him like Bi Dao.

Bi Dao asked her, "Feng Chi, what did that birdman do, need my help to capture him?"

Feng Chi exclaimed before replying, and unrest suddenly arose again down the mountain.

All turned to look, only to see a figure ignoring the guards along the way, forcibly flying up and soon landing before the crowd, another cloaked figure, though the form indicated it was a woman.

Barefoot landing, the cloak revealed a crimson skirt edge, her gaze from under the brim swept the scene, turning to stare at the other two cloaked figures.

Disguised Fan Qingfeng grinned, unsure if today was an auspicious day; what's up with these Demon Kings showing up here?

Feng Chi once again pulled out another Mother-child Talisman to check, her subordinate urgently reporting that Chai Wenwu just brought someone, the disturbance on the mountain arose, and upon inquiring about the commotion, the person directly stormed the mountain gate without verification.

Feng Chi felt the throbbing headache; no need to say more. The woman before her is the Bone Demon King.

So a group chasing her shouting "Stop" was waved away.

Chai Wenwu, Old Chai, stood out and landed beside Feng Chi.

Bi Dao vehemently rebuked, "Luo Xian'er, why forcefully breach Heavenly Court territory?"

Upon calling this name, the crowd was taken aback, the shocked and uncertain Manxi also felt it wasn't the right day today.

Luo Xian'er retorted, "I didn't trespass; I was invited by City Lord Chai to discuss transferring assets..." pointing at Chai Wenwu, questioning, "Bi Dao, but you, what are you doing here?"

Bi Dao laughed heartily, indicating Chai Wenwu as well, "Coincidentally, I was also invited by City Lord Chai, also here to talk asset transfer, ask him if you don't believe."

With those words, numerous eyes fixed on Chai Wenwu, deeply shocked, wondering what capability this old man had to invite these two Demon Kings, looking at him in a new light.

Chai Wenwu's expression froze; asking him? What could he say? Luo Xian'er was indeed invited by him, but Bi Dao had refused. Yet he couldn't say "no" in public. Was there something wrong with coming voluntarily to talk about asset transfer?
