409 Her stupidity amuses the Lord!
『Ding! Congratulation! You have become the master of the Quick Cast Skill Plate!』
When the skill plate consumed his blood, a mental connection was established between it and Roy.
He poured mana into the skill plate as he could feel it asking to be fed.
The more mana that went into the skill plate, the more translucent it became. When it was finished feeding on his mana, it flew into his body, settling down in his magic sea.
『Ding! Congratulation! You have gained the Quick Cast Magic Spell.』
『You can use it to instantly complete a spell or a technique.』
『It can be used once a day.』
The system notified its host.
“Even though it wasn’t intentional, we have dealt with the danger in the river. Now that there aren’t monster left inside it, it will be easier to find the secret entrance to the Ashen Land. We just need to go inside the river and let ourselves be carried by the surging water.” Roy said.
Delilah looked at him with a hint of skepticism. “Will your method work?”
“Yes.” Roy gave a confident nod. “Besides, it’s the only one I know. So we better hope it does.”
“Since you think it will help us locate the gap in the holy barrier, let’s do it,” Delilah said to him as she took a deep breath, mentally bracing herself for what was to come.
As she didn’t want her clothes to get wet and cling to her tightly, she began removing her clothes with effortless and graceful motions. The fabric fell from her body like petals from a flower, revealing a form that was nothing short of breathtaking.
Her skin was a canvas of beauty, smooth and supple. The curves of her body were exotic and alluring, each one sculpted to perfection.
Only her private parts were covered. The lace of her underwear seemed to dance against her skin, tracing the lines of her body in a tantalizing display of femininity. Her black bra lifted and supported her breasts, creating a cleavage that was both subtle and provocative.
Roy’s eyes were fixed upon her, taking in every inch of her body with an intense, lustful gaze. He had never seen Delilah in a bikini before, and he was struck by the sheer beauty of her form.
It was clear to him that Delilah’s body was the product of hard work and dedication. Her well-defined muscle lines spoke of the countless hours she spent training, honing her body into a perfect killing machine.
But it wasn’t just her muscles that made her body so alluring. Her masculine traits only served to accentuate the grace and femininity that she was blessed with.
His wife was beautiful; her beauty was otherwordly. No one in the world could compare to her in terms of beauty. But Delilah, although not as beautiful as the female siren, was like the forbidden fruit. Even the forefathers would fail to resist such temptation, and Roy was just a young man with a healthy body. How could he possibly not have any thoughts about her? He had met her before his Fated, liked her before his Fated, and even kissed and embraced her. The only thing they haven’t done was make love, and that, too, would have happened if Delilah wasn’t afraid of what he was packing down there.
As Roy’s eyes roamed her body, they eventually came to rest on the twin peaks of her chest. Covered by a black bra, they were round and firm, defying gravity with ease. Roy couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if their support were taken away. Would they remain as pert and perky as they were now? Or would they succumb to the pull of gravity, like so many others?
“What are you looking at?” She asked, revealing a mischievous smile.
“Your stupidity.” He said as he looked into her eyes. He was afraid that if he avoided her gaze, he would give himself away. He was almost tempted to hold her tight and kiss her, but he wasn’t gonna let her know. He was afraid her pride would be inflated. “There was no need to take off your clothes. I will be covering us up with a protective barrier so that our clothes won’t get wet and we won’t be harmed by the surging waves. You didn’t need to give me a strip show.”
“My apologies,” Delilah said as she felt embarrassed. It looked like she was a crafty fox who was intentionally seducing a married man. “I didn’t know,” she added, dressing up.
“No worries. Everyone makes a mistake.” Roy said as he waved his hand, adding a layer of defensive force over his and Delilah’s skin.
As Roy approached the river, he felt a sense of unease wash over him. The water was blue and bright, but it was surging toward an ominous sky. His sixth sense was warning him not to continue. He knew the danger that lay ahead, but the allure in the forbidden Ashen Land was too great to resist.
Plop!
With a deep breath, he plunged into the water, feeling the icy chill seep into his bones.
Roy waded into the water, the current pulling at his legs. “Come on,” he called to Delilah, who looked hesitant. “I am here. What do you need to worry about?”
She, like a cat, didn’t like to get wet, and she hated cold water against her skin as she was sensitive, and it felt like getting pricked all over. Not to mention, she wasn’t a good swimmer and only learned it because her job demanded it. But she had come too far to head back. She wanted to see the other side for herself.
The flow was stronger than it looked. She had miscalculated and was caught by surprise.
The pressure under the magic river was violent, but she wasn’t injured as the defensive layer over her skin protected her.
However, unlike Roy, she couldn’t stop herself from sinking deeper and deeper into the river.
