Chapter 728: Chapter 314: Hunting Gear_4

However, the black horse seemed determined to throw Li Younan off. Seeing that its sudden exertion was ineffective, it started turning circles inside the small stable, leaping up and down.

Li Younan’s gaze gradually cooled, his legs clamping the horse’s back like steel tongs, and his impeccable balance allowed him to control his body with ease amidst the jolting.

No matter how the black horse struggled beneath him, Li Younan remained motionless. It seemed very thrilling, but in truth, everything was under control.

Not dangerous at all.

Just a prank.

Dazed, lyrics from a nursery rhyme even echoed in Li Younan’s head: “Daddy’s daddy is called grandpa…”

Returning to his senses, he saw that despite repeated failures, the black horse hadn’t given up. Now its front legs were even off the ground, hooves kicking at the air, its whole body almost trembling.

Li Younan grabbed the saddle with one hand and couldn’t help but smack the horse’s head with the other.

A magical scene unfolded; the black horse seemed much more clear-eyed after the smack, finally settled down, and its forelegs landed without further struggle.

Riding on the horse’s back, Li Younan could feel that this “beast” was truly subdued.

Then, a cowboy’s voice rang in his ears: “Heavens, you actually did it, unbelievable! This guy’s name is William III; apart from our best cowboy here, no one has ever successfully tamed it.”

Li Younan dismounted.

The black horse, earlier so determined to throw Li Younan off, now looked at him with a near fawning posture.

William III had his little schemes. If the rider wasn’t top-notch, it would feel uncomfortable when they sat on him. Even a hint of discomfort would cause him to throw them off without hesitation.

It knew today was another human’s attempt, so its plan was to feign submission first, then suddenly throw them off once they climbed on its back, ensuring the human wouldn’t dare try again.

But unexpectedly, instead of throwing this human off, William III gradually discovered that this human could almost match its rhythm perfectly during the process.

Riding him seemed to cause no discomfort whatsoever.

This realization struck him: it hadn’t run freely outside in a long time, and maybe it was time to give this human a chance.

The cowboy exclaimed excitedly, “William III hasn’t been ridden out for a run for quite some time now. Congratulations, you can ride this horse and start your race now!”

But just at that moment, Li Younan glanced at the black horse and then at the cowboy, slowly shaking his head: “Forget it, I don’t want this horse.”

The cowboy’s expression froze slightly: “What did you say?”

Li Younan chuckled, pointing to the timid little white horse in the neighboring stable: “I want that horse.”

The little white horse in the corner raised its head in confusion, sensing someone was pointing at it.

The cowboy stiffened with disbelief, huh?

Meanwhile, William III, the black horse, still anticipated Li Younan to take it out for a stroll, looking bewildered.

The cowboy hesitated: “Are-are you sure? This is the best horse we have, you’ve tamed it, yet you don’t plan to choose it?”

Li Younan shook his head: “Yes, I’ve decided.”

The cowboy’s expression turned somewhat complex, sighing: “Alright, I’ll respect your decision.”

The reason Li Younan ultimately chose the little white horse was none other than having glanced at it while riding and simply thinking it looked more pleasing.

Reflecting further, this black horse indeed was a bit cheeky—it pretended to be submissive when they made eye contact earlier, only to suddenly try to throw him off. Had it been someone else, the consequences could have been far worse than just embarrassment.

Go out with me?

Ha, it’s not worthy.

When Li Younan led the bewildered little white horse out, William III finally realized something and hurried to the stable door, watching Li Younan with continuous neighing.

…

As Li Younan led the little white horse out, he had his entire gear ready.

At that moment, a Colt revolver was strapped to his waist, a classic model that loads Magnum bullets.

Revolvers are the safest type of handgun, not only because of their simple and reliable construction but more importantly because they almost pose no risk of accidental discharge, while also having immense power.

Compared to magazine-style semi-automatic pistols, the revolver offers rifle-like power at close range when facing large wild animals, being much safer.

On his back was a single-barrel hunting rifle, and the little white horse he led carried a backpack with various miscellaneous equipment.
