Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny
Chapter 1891 - 973: Only a True Master Is a You Sui Master!
With a blink of an eye, the old hen turns into a duck.
Now with the You Sui credential thrown right under their eyelids, everyone was suddenly not okay.
What the hell is this shit!
I even fucking thought the Security Bureau had come over to slaughter us, and then you tell me it's actually people from You Sui dropping by for a visit?!
How is that reasonable!
So for a moment everyone was dumbfounded, staring at each other.
"I am a direct disciple of Elder Anvil, South Cloud Craft Master, Dark Profound Construction Supervisor, Master of Dark Profound: Yuan Yilang · Nanyun Lord · Chi Zhong!"
Ji Jue raised his head proudly, and a hoarse voice came from beneath the Golden Mask: "Since I have already met you with honesty, why are you all cowering and hiding?"
"What? Has the Evil Cult forgotten basic courtesy?!"
He seized the initiative, barking:
"——State your names for me!"
If you talk nicely to this bunch of maggots worshipping Weiyang, they might not listen at all, might even think you're some pushover they can squeeze.
But as long as you put on the posture and the face, show the attitude of 'if you don't give me face I'll start a fight,' then they'll definitely find their brains again…
This is the confidence my You Sui ID gives me!
All I can say is, thanks to Dragon Poison for the sponsorship, five stars and a like!
Anyway, worst case, we throw down!
Ji Jue wasn't scared, but could this bunch of clowns even make decisions?
After that split second of chaos, the old man who first stepped out had his expression rapidly twist and change; countless faces seemed to flow past an originally blank visage—ferocious, gloomy, indifferent, smiling—completely different, only the pitch-black pupils remaining empty, deep as the sea.
"We are the Main Priests of the Ten Thousand Orders Association, the orthodox Weiyang line of the Evil Cult, of the origin branch, Mo Tu / Mo Shu / Mo Mu / Mo Qing..."
Countless surrounding shadows opened and closed their lips, speaking in unison, as if displeased with the attitude of this craftsman, collectively pressing him: "Since you are a You Sui Envoy, why make such a huge fuss and almost ruin our sect's grand plan?!"
Ji Jue let out a cold laugh: "Then I'd like to ask instead: why did your people, knowing full well I'm an envoy, still dare to lay hands on me?"
Anyway, the shit pot gets buckled on them, no need to think about it. Those people are dead already—if you want to claim otherwise, then drag them back out first and we'll talk!
"I repeatedly declared that I am the official envoy of You Sui, here on orders. Your subordinates didn't look at all like they were inviting me to dinner—instead they clearly thought I was weak and easy to bully, that I was some fine talent delivered right to their door!"
He suppressed the non‑existent grief and rage, and accused them in a thunderous voice: "Even now, I've yielded again and again, yet you lot have driven the situation to this point. Doesn't the Wanling Association owe me an explanation?"
Obviously, these guys are very clear what kind of trash their own people are; to the point they didn't even bother to argue or verify—let's just say that's what reputation gets you.
"...The business of Ruyue Station involves the sect's great secrets; our underlings were overly nervous, which is, after all, understandable."
Facing Ji Jue's questioning, that nest of Mind Bodies surnamed Mo directly dodged the main point, squeezing out a fake smile: "Since we've already exchanged names, how the envoy came here and why you ended up in this situation—surely you should clarify that for us."
"What's it to you?"
Ji Jue asked indifferently: "Can you actually make decisions about what happens here?"
Still refusing to give the other side any chance to react or think, Ji Jue kept up the pressure, not giving the slightest so‑called respect, practically sitting on their face as he declared:
"Stop sending random nobodies to placate me! Let someone who actually has authority come speak. Otherwise I'll leave right away, and you can just wait for Elder Anvil's Thunderbolt wrath!"
As soon as the words fell, countless figures on the platform stirred restlessly, as if in fury; the sword‑drawn, bow‑bent atmosphere flared up again, as though they'd start a massive brawl at the slightest disagreement.
But from start to finish, Ji Jue stood unmoved, head held high, not even bothering to look around.
He only glanced at the old fossil in front of him, coldly waiting for a reply.
After a brief silence, the old man's expression shifted slightly, as if they'd finally reached some conclusion.
All anger vanished; he smiled, raised a hand, dispersing the mist and shadows, revealing a path.
"Since you are Elder Anvil's envoy, why not come inside for a talk."
He proactively stepped aside, gesturing in invitation: "You come here representing You Sui, and we are likewise subordinates of the Great Evil. Since you're here, of course we should properly entertain you—though we may not have time to give you a full welcome, at least let us serve you a cup of tea first, how about it?"
"Heh, so you people do know what courtesy means?"
Facing their probing, Ji Jue didn't hesitate, hands clasped behind his back, sneering as he walked straight ahead: "Lead the way."
Mo Tu's eye corner twitched for an instant, but his smile stayed in place as he quickened his pace and went ahead.
The space inside the 'station' was even more vast than expected, practically like a small town.
No wonder the Security Bureau and the Security Bureau went on a massive rampage and still didn't manage to find many key figures. With bugs assisting them from behind the scenes, their operations are just too safe and convenient.
Their main base has already been moved outside the present world, and even leashed to bugs, running all over the place—what the hell are you going to do about that?
And in this twisted space, distances themselves seemed that bizarre.
Sometimes you'd walk for ages and the surroundings wouldn't change at all; sometimes with a single step, the world before your eyes would become entirely different.
It was a completely imperceptible maze; without someone leading the way, you'd probably be trapped here till the end of time.
Maybe this is just this bunch of idiots flexing, trying to intimidate this clueless outsider craftsman.
Ji Jue couldn't care less.
A maze?
Come on, feel free to wind around all you like—if you can outfox the built-in navigation of the Sky Rail System, I'll actually be impressed.
They'd been "walking" for over ten minutes, but these guys were basically marching in place. Only the scenery around them was shifting; the spatial coordinates hardly changed at all.
Trying to stall for time.
Ji Jue was equally unconcerned.
Because he was stalling too…
Ever since he stepped in here, the coordinate parsing progress on the Sky Rail panel had been ticking forward nonstop. Unfortunately, they'd never entered the core, only skirted the perimeter, so the progress was painfully slow.
After wasting all that time, it was only around three percent.
By comparison, what he cared about more was another progress bar.
[Hidden tracking signal detected, searching coordinates… Coast-linked system relay detected, infiltration commencing…]
There we go!
Ji Jue's eye twitched upward as he suppressed the urge to grin.
Nice work, little runt!
For safety's sake, Ji Jue had installed trackers on all the "little ones" at home, but the hidden spiritual imprint embedded in a tooth was still too weak a signal. If he wanted a quick lock-on, he needed some kind of amplifier—like a phone or other device…
Thanks to the Coast's channels growing more and more extensive, their products had spread across the Four Seas.
They'd even ended up being sold inside the Evil Cult!
After all, this bunch of zealots might skip worshipping the Great Evil and skip making trouble, but they still had to eat, right? The Coast's rice cookers and electric kettles were top-five bestsellers in Thousand Islands—super hot items!
With compatible products acting as signal relays, tracking naturally got easier, the progress bar shot up fast… all he had to do now was drag out the clock a bit longer, and once he pinned down the location, he could do whatever he wanted.
He'd love nothing more than for this old bastard to keep circling him around, buying him more time.
Only, about ten minutes later, it seemed the other side was finally ready. After the last door swung open, Ji Jue inexplicably found himself in a massive hall.
The coordinates had jumped straight into the core of the entire station.
In the dim gloom, a high and crushing pressure slammed down out of nowhere, mountain-heavy and ocean-vast, immense and violent—no overt malice, yet enough to make any intruder's skin crawl.
Among clusters of dim candlelight loomed a towering Holy Statue of the Great Evil.
Who knew which limb of the Great Evil it was linked to; Divine Essence was already flowing and manifesting. On its hollow face, eye after eye flared with blazing light, looking down from above.
This was the Evil Cult's Secret Ritual site!
Under the combined sacrifice of several hundred core believers, the ritual to commune with the spawn had finally reached readiness—just waiting for the cup to shatter as the signal, and then it would erupt.
Seeing Ji Jue walk in on his own, the fake smile on Mo Tu's face finally faded, revealing a hint of contempt and mockery.
He stepped before the Holy Statue and sat in the middle of three seats, taking his place with two other companions, and casually waved a hand:
"Enough, Envoy. Have a seat."
What he pointed to was a lavish chair, looking impossibly distinguished, seemingly befitting the status of a You Sui Envoy… except these dogs were bullying an outsider craftsman who didn't know the Evil Cult's inherited rituals—the chair was practically blatantly placed right in the sacrificial "seat" at the center of the Secret Ritual!
They weren't even bothering to pretend anymore.
And under everyone's gaze, that Envoy from You Sui—the craftsman with that damned long "Yuan-something-something" name—actually sat down without hesitation, with not the slightest hint of doubt!
In an instant, the big stone in their hearts dropped, and the vague prickle of alarm and unease seemed to vanish without a trace.
From here on out, even if something went sideways, even if the visitor came with hostile intent, how they disposed of this guy would be no more than a matter of a single word from them, right?
Yet faced with this setup, the craftsman behind the Golden Mask didn't care in the slightest.
"Just you few?"
Ji Jue glanced at the group, his tone icy: "I already told you, don't waste my time."
On Mo Tu's right, a hunched Old Woman with a sallow, gloomy face knit her brows and replied coldly, "The Beiling Saint Master and Lord Cancha don't have time to see you. Whatever you have to say, say it to us."
Beiling?
So that's the one orchestrating things behind the curtain this time? If the people below are calling them Saint Master, then at minimum they're a Heavenly Demon. Ji Jue vaguely remembered having seen relevant records.
Aside from that, who the hell was Cancha?
That bug?
Realization flickered through Ji Jue's mind, but he still didn't give them a shred of face, firing back head-on: "Who asked about them? Where are Jian Yuan's people?"
He urged impatiently, "What are you still posturing for? Get that old dog's student out here to face me! What's wrong, brave enough to do it but not brave enough to own it?"
