Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny

Chapter 1811 - 929: Northern Realm Specialty_3

Only sparks inexplicably ignited from the void, shooting continuously.

"Hey! Come and see this!"

The craftsman with a monocle's eyes lit up, sharing his recent observation results—in the slowed observation, blades resembling cannonballs fired and as they immersed into the Silver Mist, they created threads of disturbance.

Due to the impact of its own kinetic energy, it drew in those minute structures that were so subtle as to be nearly undetectable, and then, as if it had plunged into a layer of composite armor, a large amount of impact force was dissipated, causing the trajectory to deflect, making it difficult to hit the target.

Even amidst an overwhelming torrent, Ji Jue could still stroll leisurely.

This is the most bizarre part!

If these were steel-core bullets, it would be one thing, but Ji Jue was currently facing the impact and slashing of hundreds to thousands of rune swords per second. Each Rune Fragment carried distinctly different qualitative changes and enhancements, and the formula combinations of the runes evolved continuously, varied, and nearly endless.

Some would explode upon contact; some were unmatched in sharpness; some seemed ordinary but were actually of mind-boggling mass and kinetic energy, each small one enough to pierce a city wall. Not to mention the ever-changing, bone-chilling explosions and terrifying high temperatures between existence and non-existence...

And all these seemed as if they were indistinguishable, being deflected one by one in that transforming Silver Mist, unable to approach Ji Jue.

Until a heart-stirring roar suddenly erupted, and a gust swept in!

Before Ji Jue, the ever-disturbing silver fog was actually torn apart from the center, unable to mend, and when Ji Jue's hand was unknowingly raised, a half-blade appeared out of thin air.

It stopped perilously close, at his forehead.

Only an inch away.

On the sword's spine, streams of light shone, with the Northern Realm's rune transformations applied—a great sword, imbued with the threefold chain of Fog Shadow, Piercing, and Unmoving, had already sprung from the iron wood in just a snap, aiming for Ji Jue's vital point!

Even though it was clutched by Ji Jue, it still vibrated violently.

As if an invisible hand was gripping the hilt, it continued moving forward bit by bit—Fog Shadow's enchantment concealed all abnormal auras; Piercing's enchantment allowed it to break through all defenses; Unmoving's enchantment rendered all blocks futile.

Until it could no longer bear the struggle between the two, fissures appeared, and it crumbled into dust.

"So it can be like this, I've learned," Ji Jue sighed sincerely.

Even though he knew these three sets of forms and could barely claim mastery, he couldn't combine them into such a degree, seamlessly without conflict, complementing mutually.

Hundreds of years of heritage, countless craftsmen's explorations, decades of research and tempering had already infused countless rune changes into Yellow Beard's instincts, as natural as breathing, effortlessly performed without hesitation. This pinnacle skill was something the newly initiated Ji Jue couldn't hope to mimic.

Even more terrifying, at this moment with Yellow Beard's hand extended, the Fireworks Pot buzzed, and swords of no lesser craftsmanship had transformed into a storm once again, roaring toward him!

Giving Ji Jue no respite, relentlessly suppressing him, forcing him to dodge continuously, appearing so overwhelmed...

But Yellow Beard's expression showed no smugness or satisfaction.

Only growing grim.

"How much longer are you going to stall?"

Yellow Beard roared furiously, like thunder exploding: "Show me your real skills!"

In that instance, Ji Jue, helplessly, let out a soft sigh.

"Then, as you wish—"

Before the numerous speeding swords, Ji Jue finally raised his palm, aligning his five fingers like blades, remotely aimed at Yellow Beard's face.

Seemingly provocative, he issued a final warning.

And then...

Yellow Beard's vision darkened.

The illusion of a skull fracture abruptly struck!

And the chilling sound of shattering echoed through the workshop!

In front of Ji Jue's five fingers, sandstones, iron walls, swords, thorns, repulsion, even Circle Realm... forty-one layers of barriers shattered in response!

Just a moment of daze.

Blood light like flames, so close at hand!
