Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny
Chapter 1612 - 830: Beating the Child on a Rainy Day
The chicken finished the rice, the dog gnawed the noodles, and the lamp burnt through the lock.
The unlucky child shed all his tears, but still could not change reality.
An hour later, in the secluded part of the Oasis, in a 'classroom' specially cleared out, Yan Fei, walking like a wandering ghost, once again saw Ji Jue.
Right there in the open space, fully concentrated on stretching and warming up, meticulously moving all his joints.
Fully prepared for the class!
Really now, isn't this setup a bit too much, as if prepping for transcendence!
What did I do to deserve such a treatment?!
Yan Fei's eye twitched repeatedly, vision going dark.
Why did it come to this?
For the first time, he found a teacher who could guide him to his future, and for the first time, found a place where he could freely excel. These two things overlapped... and so on.
Right now, Yan Fei's mind was still blank, in a bewildered state of shutdown.
What, I'm supposed to go against Mr. Ji?!
Seriously?
Absolutely dead!
"Mr. Ji, I—I'll do double the homework, I promise to finish it all!" Yan Fei was still trying to cling to a shred of hope, but upon hearing this, Ji Jue could only give a helpless, indulgent smile.
"Would you even consider saying something like doubling your homework just to skip class?" he sighed, "This goes beyond being a bad student and requires serious correction!"
At that moment, a hundred thousand question marks popped up over the boy's head, jostling for attention.
He truly couldn't understand why!
But why would a teacher need a reason if they wanted to beat you up!
This feeling is inexplicably delightful.
Just imagining that one day he could have this moment, Ji Jue's expression became extremely serious and solemn, taut, trying his best not to burst out laughing.
"Rest assured, Spiritual Defense class isn't exactly a dragon's den."
Ji Jue stood there, motioning with his hand: "To ensure the educational effect, I won't use creations, and I'll limit my level to something comparable to yours."
Sounds nice!
Yan Fei was almost in tears.
Fighting from a high position is tough; how could the upper rank of Ember be a joke!
Even if no alchemy creations were used and the rank was suppressed to the same level, was there only a hardware difference between master and apprentice?
"How about this, I'll even give you an extra advantage."
Ji Jue sighed helplessly, "I won't say anything more, if you can force me to use a blessing or alchemy, and make me take a step back, you pass, how about it?"
In any case, you should have at least this little bit of confidence, right? If you ramble on, I'll have Isis have a word with you."
"Re-really?" Yan Fei was incredulous, eyes gleaming.
No use of alchemy, no stepping back, no use of creations, not even blessings... doesn't that give me at least a slight chance?
Ji Jue rolled his eyes: "Of course it's true—"
Before he finished, a loud noise erupted.
Boom!!!
Yan Fei, right at close range, threw a punch squarely at his most respected and beloved Mr. Ji!
In the moment Ji Jue was speaking, the ground behind him exploded without warning, the terrifying shockwave and air blast propelled the boy, surging forward like a cannonball, crashing head-on.
In mid-air, he deftly twisted his waist and swung his arm, clenching his fist and gathering power, fiercely erupting.
Well prepared!
He knew better than anyone the terrifying gap between himself and Mr. Ji, even with many restrictions, his chances of winning were still too low, to win, he had to be unscrupulous!
Just like Ji Jue of the past!
Unfortunately...
"Still too naive,"
Ji Jue sighed softly, laments, casually snatching the incoming fist within his hand, much to Yan Fei's ecstatic delight, couldn't help but laugh.
There's a chance!
In Yan Fei's clenched fist, an explosion erupted, unfolding as it shot towards Ji Jue with the opening of the five fingers.
The Excitation of the Red Anvil Matrix combined with Yan Fei's capability, anything he touched would explode, even air; as long as spiritual matter was injected, it could easily turn into a bomb.
At such a close distance, it was already too late to defend, needing to dodge... dodge... evade?
No avoidance.
Ji Jue didn't move, only looked down, glancing at the silly smiling Yan Fei. In his hand, the clenched fist merely quivered slightly, the explosion didn't occur, dying in the womb.
Before the spiritual excitation could occur, it had already been interrupted by a near insignificant thread of spiritual matter.
Like a single piece of rat droppings ruining a pot of soup. The meddling of the mixed spiritual matter ruined the original explosion reaction, rendering the excitation mundane, no longer invigorating.
This wasn't alchemy at all, just an extremely crude application of spiritual matter.
Immediately after, Yan Fei's vision blurred.
The sky spun and the earth turned.
Boom!
It was as if lifting a rag, swinging the stupefied boy through a perfect arc in mid-air, and then, with a splat, slammed him into the soft ground.
That flowing energy controlled to the epitome of finesse didn't even act upon his body, apart from bringing the sharp pain of impact, it didn't harm even a sliver of bone or muscle.
Instead, it bounced him up like a rubber man, falling again, rolling back to where he came, gurgling, ending up in the pit he had just blasted open.
Meanwhile, Ji Jue still stood in place, not moving an inch, calmly motioning to him.
