Legend of Dragon Son-in-law
Chapter 2789: Destiny
Chapter 2789: Chapter 2789: Destiny
Silvio Reed was drenched in cold sweat, his body shaking like a sieve.
All these years, countless moments of time wasted.
He had experienced everything, faced every kind of death threat.
Yet once, he was full of spirit, brimming with confidence.
No matter what crisis he faced, he could solve it perfectly.
But now, he had lost all his power, for the first time in his life, he was on a downward path.
Such a change is enough to transform a person.
Silvio Reed lost his confidence, lost the thrill of controlling others’ lives and deaths, lost his bright aspirations.
He didn’t know when his heart began to darken.
He believed the world was unfair, that the whole world was against him!
He wanted to destroy this world, destroy everyone.
The fairy who once gave him his power now said she wanted to kill him!
And as a stepping stone for Julius Reed, who always lost to him!
To pave the way for Julius Reed!
He couldn’t understand it, couldn’t fathom it, couldn’t comprehend it.
Silvio Reed now only wanted to resist, if he couldn’t change the outcome, then they would perish together.
Die together!
But fate often doesn’t give people a chance to resist.
Silvio Reed, facing Nova, had no chance of winning, just when he thought he was definitely going to die.
Nova suddenly fainted.
Without any warning.
This left Silvio Reed very confused.
Why did Nova do this?
But that voice...
Why is it so familiar!
Silvio Reed looked up and saw that unforgettable face.
"Fairy..."
His once tense and fearful face suddenly revealed a smile and warmth at that moment.
The previous scheming and cruelty were gone, now he truly was happy, really wanted to laugh.
Because what he saw was the fairy.
"As expected, you still haven’t given up on me, thank you." Silvio Reed stood up trembling, bowed respectfully to the fairy, "Thank you."
"You don’t need to thank me." The woman in a white dress turned sideways, speaking coldly: "I have my reasons for doing this."
"I know you don’t want me to die either, I beg the fairy to guide me on a bright path! Silvio Reed is here, kneeling to thank you!"
Silvio Reed knelt on the ground, speaking with great sincerity.
He was a bit happy.
Very happy.
Because when he was at life and death’s juncture, the fairy appeared.
This meant the fairy hadn’t abandoned him either.
"If I tell you, saving you is because of Julius Reed, would you still thank me?" The fairy’s words were somewhat piercing.
Silvio Reed was kneeling on the ground, kowtowing, but the smile on his face froze in an instant.
Soon, all the sunshine and smiles disappeared.
What remained was only anger and resentment!
And that feeling of betrayal.
"I want to know, why is it Julius Reed!" He raised his head, slowly stood up.
Even after standing straight, Silvio Reed remained upright!
He didn’t want his spine to bend!
Even like this, he wanted to maintain the dignity of a king.
Standing perfectly straight!
"Because Julius Reed is the meaning of your existence, so everything you have must serve Julius Reed."
The woman in white made it very clear.
"Haha, could you be a little more specific? I really want to know, am I just a tool! What is the meaning of my existence!"
Silvio Reed liked to laugh, but now his laughter was very bitter.
"I truly am not reconciled! Why, why is the whole world biased towards him, Julius Reed, why does the world take care of him! And what about me? Where am I not better than him?"
"Some things are destined, Silvio Reed, you don’t need to compare, nor force it, this is fate."
The woman in white spoke very bluntly: "Becoming the stepping stone for Julius Reed is your destiny, it is your fate!"
"What should I do? Can you tell me?" Silvio Reed laughed and asked: "Is my final destiny to die? Is my final ending to become Julius Reed’s stepping stone? I want to ask, can I defy destiny?"
"Defy destiny?" Hearing this, the woman in white laughed and said: "Haha, defy destiny, how ridiculous, everything you have now was given by others. So, what isn’t within our ability to take away?"
"How will you defy destiny?"
The woman in white’s tone carried mockery and coldness.
"Defying destiny is nonsense, is arrogance, is a fantasy."
The woman said: "Your destiny is to die, die by Julius Reed’s hand. Let’s not mince words, your final ending is to be killed by Julius Reed personally."
"Hahaha!"
Silvio Reed was stunned at first, then laughed loudly and said: "Are you kidding? I can’t even decide my own life or death?"
With that, he suddenly drew his sword, aimed it at himself, "Let’s see now, if I commit suicide, how will Julius Reed still kill me?"
"How will he kill me?"
"I’m dead now!"
With that, he aimed the sword at his chest and thrust it down!
However, the woman in white watched coldly throughout, showing no intention to stop him.
The sword didn’t pierce down but stopped.
"What’s going on?"
Silvio Reed squinted his eyes, filled with murderous intent as he asked.
"Why? Why didn’t you stop me? Why! Tell me!"
He couldn’t believe it, he was going to commit suicide, yet the woman in white before him didn’t stop him.
"You’re deceiving me, my destiny isn’t to be killed by Julius Reed, right?"
Silvio Reed asked unwillingly.
As long as this matter is false, then there is a chance for everything to be redeemed.
He can still live!
"It’s true, you’re not worth deceiving." The woman in white said very coldly: "Silvio Reed. You’re merely a pawn, and you still want me to deceive you? To put it bluntly, you’re not even worthy."
"You! Then why didn’t you stop me!"
Silvio Reed almost roared: "Answer me!"
"Because I know, you won’t die, you fear death, extremely fear it! So only with Julius Reed killing you personally will you die."
The woman in white pointed at Nova on the ground, gently blew a breath.
That emperor level master Nova, suddenly evaporated without leaving a trace.
"I know you want to kill me. But look, can you do it? But you’re welcome to try, because I won’t kill you, as long as your death day isn’t here, I won’t kill you."
The woman in white finished, looking at Silvio Reed: "Enjoy your last moments."
"What if I kill Julius Reed!"
Silvio Reed shouted angrily: "Under such unfavorable conditions, if I kill him, wouldn’t that prove I’m stronger than him!"
"Haha, are you joking? If you could, then you would replace him."
After the woman in white finished, she turned and disappeared.
A slight smile lifted at the corner of her mouth.
There, Silvio Reed and Julius Reed were about to meet, weren’t they?
