Chapter 336 Freaking Retard? Or Plain Retard?
The tip of Kyran’s staff came down on one of the two remaining white-robed mages, hitting the latter’s clavicle at an incredible speed he failed to react in time.
CRACK!
The mage’s clavicle broke resulting in one of its pointed areas cutting the flesh on his shoulder
“AAAARGH!”
He let out a painful cry as blood gushed out from his open wound.
Before the mage’s arm limped on his side, Kyran whipped the other end of his staff toward the last mage. The light golden magic array circling its shaft glowed as it extended and pierced the latter’s knee cap.
Crack!
The force of the staff pierced through the mage’s patella and numerous cracks appeared on its surface.
“Aaaargh-!”
The last mage barely reacted to the pain when Kyran moved in and kicked his shin, aggravating the cracks on the patella to the point where the tibia connected to it got broken off!
Blood spluttered out as a sharp part of the tibia cut through the mage’s skin.
“AAARGH!”
The mage let out a miserable shriek as he fell to the ground clutching his leg.
The other mage was also sprawled on the ground clutching his limp bleeding arm.
All of these happened in under four seconds Matias and the rest watching could only gape in shock.
“That’s two complete fractures.. err open fractures too? Is this comparable to a third-degree burn?” Kyran once again wondered out loud.
“DISCIPLE TYR-!”
“Pipe down,” Kyran cut off Matias’s emotional outburst as he turned to look at him.
“You keep saying my name, do you like it that much?” Kyran complained as he scratched his ears.
Huge sweats appeared on the members of the order watching nearby.
“You-!”
“You want a fair fight between our magic?” Kyran continued, ignoring Matias’s attempt to refute. He pointed toward the blazing roc that had been trapped by the seven-sided star formed by the golden spheres.
These spheres were magic items Kyran created as part of ‘Tyr’s’ props.
Yes, these seven golden spheres were merely props to further establish Tyr’s identity as an Array Specialist. Much like the wooden staff as Tyr’s main weapon.
These golden spheres’ sole purpose was to bind their target.
“I already subdued your roc, what else do you want to fight for?”
“Remove your huge-ass magic array above and let’s have a proper fight! I’ll prove to you what real subjugation of magic is!” Matias yet again growled while he attempted to release his magic in hopes of re-summoning it but to no avail.
….
After a short pause, Kyran replied with a blank expression, “Are you freaking retarded? Or just plain retarded?”
Blacklines appeared on each of the members’ heads as their brows twitched at Kyran’s words.
Err… What was the difference between a freaking retard to a plain retard?
“You-!”
“That ‘huge ass magic array’ up there represents MY magic. Clearly, you can’t stand it,” Kyran interrupted Matias again while giving him an incredulous look. “What else is there to prove?”
“No! That huge ass magic array has other magic in it! If not, how come all our magic got restrained? It definitely includes restraining magic!”
When the members of the order heard this, they were all surprised. It was possible to use other magic as long as one knew its runes. That was already a known fact. But its effect should not be as powerful compared to when it was used by a mage with innate restraining magic.
Could it be Kyran’s also proficient in restraining magic? Some could not help but look at the golden spheres and how they could bind Matias’s roc with ease. This was not something a mage with strengthening magic could accomplish!
No, wait.
Was it possible that it was because of the strengthening magic’s nature it could make inferior restraining magic as powerful as the real one?
If this was true, did it mean ‘Tyr’ could use other magic and make it stronger as long as he knew their runes?
Of course, this was only the members’ own speculation and was not Kyran’s intention. In any case, their misunderstanding had already taken form in their minds and caused them to feel more in awe of him.
“Seriously?” Kyran replied with raised brows. “You’re complaining at my use of restraining magic? You come here screaming about killing my fellow members and you expect me not to use restraining magic as soon as I come out?”
Matias glared at him, “I am not talking about that! Fight me, right here, right now! Just your magic and mine!”
His repeated demand was getting on Kyran’s nerves.
During his training, he met a lot of unreasonable people and he still considered Matias a mild case. However, regardless of the severity of his unreasonableness had been, Kyran did not like unreasonable people.
Talking to them was a waste of time.
As such, Kyran did not bother to reply to Matias and only said, “Is that so.”
Then he released the array above as well as the blazing roc.
When Kyran had done this, the members watching nearby all gasped.
Initially, they worried that Kyran would suffer in the hands of Matias if he ever accepted the latter’s demand. But, right now, after misunderstanding what Kyran’s strengthening magic could do, they were more worried about what would happen if Matias ended up ‘beaten up’ again.
The moment Matias sensed his control over his magic had returned, his face lit up and he summoned a huge red magic array right above Kyran.
“HAHAHAHA! FOOL! I’ll show you just how inferior you are to me! Feel the power of myβ!”
Even as Matias started talking, Kyran already lifted his staff and pointed the other end at him. The light golden magic array rotated and the staff’s shaft increased in length. At the same time, the other end of the staff shrank and Kyran was pulled with it.
Before Matias could finish what he was saying, Kyran had already shortened the gap between them by using the staff’s ability to increase and decrease in length.ππ£π xt.πππ
When Kyran was only a meter away from Matias, he cancelled the staff’s ability and pierced it on the ground. Using the force that had built up from his sudden stop, he hoisted his body using the staff’s shaft and delivered a straight kick at Matias’s face.
“Gwah!” Matias’s head was thrown back and blood spurted out of his nose and mouth as the bridge of his nose and a few of his front teeth got broken.
Matias’s eyes glowed in anger and his whole body erupted in flames.
He managed to stop himself from falling completely on his ass and he reached out a fiery hand to grab Kyran’s leg, who at that moment was still in midair.
“I’LL F*CKING BURN YOU!”
As Matias said this, his fiery hand had already grabbed Kyran’s right leg and at the moment of contact, his flames burst out, enveloping Kyran in an instant.
The nearby members of the order all shouted in fright.
“Disciple Tyr!”
This turn of events was something they had not anticipated. No matter how much they were in awe of Tyr’s use of his magic, the fact that it was still a support-type did not change. In front of an offensive and destructive magic like the fire, it was almost impossible to compete without using other means.
While all of them were worried about Kyran, the latter’s expression remained calm as Matias’s flames covered him.
Then with a voice as cold as ice, he said, “This is the flames you’re bragging about? How disappointing.”
Different sized light golden magic arrays appeared all over his body. In an instant, his whole body glowed gold as he shifted and released one of his hands holding on to the staff to grab Matias’s hand.
“What?” Matias gasped in shock.
“It’s my turn,” Kyran said and a light golden magic array flickered at the back of his hand.
He pulled Matias toward him, timing it as when his feet touched the ground.
Matias tried to pull away. Unfortunately, Kyran’s hand pulling him seemed to weigh a ton and would not budge.
‘Thisβ!’ His eyes widened as realization dawned on him.
This was ‘Tyr’ utilizing his strengthening magic!
Another light golden magic array appeared on the back of Kyran’s hand that was still holding the staff, pierced on the ground, and as Matias’s head neared him, he pulled the staff off the ground and smashed it directly at the latter’s head.
BAM!
A solid crisp sound resounded as Kyran’s staff hit Matias’s head.
“UGH!” Matias spat out some blood and he blacked out in an instant.
“Aww… I was hoping to break your skull and have you suffer a severe concussion,” Kyran muttered as Matias’s flames died down and he fell face-first on the ground. “Alas, human skulls are really something. It seems I need more than a wooden staff if I wanted to leave a crack.”
He heaved a sigh and shook his head, “How will I get even for Emmet’s injury?”
Every member nearby who had heard him could not help but feel their blood run cold.
After everything that had been said, it appeared that Kyran was only interested in getting even with them!
