Chapter 334 Tyr's Temper
Matias shouted Tyr’s name with such zeal his magic energy erupted intensely. He even exuded an immense pressure one would think his innate fire magic could not accept the fact it got overpowered by a support type magic.
In an instant, Matias lifted some of the pressure coming from Tyr’s magic array boring down on him.
Kyran’s expression remained indifferent as he witnessed Matias’s magic outburst. He did not seem intimidated by the pressure coming from him. He only looked at him and his people in silence and the members of the order who could see him wondered what he was thinking.
Though Matias lifted some of the pressure coming from ‘Tyr’s magic,’ the white-robed mages behind him were struggling with most still kneeling on the ground.
“Y-Young master⦔
Some of them started but stopped unsure of what to say. At the moment, they could not exert any magic energy from their body to properly counter the pressure around them.
Ignoring the people behind him, Matias retorted with a sinister smile, “We’ll see whether I am qualified or not, Disciple Tyr.”
Then he added while his eyes glinted menacingly, “You think your people are safe just because they are inside the building? Or did you think that you alone can take on all of us?”
Just as he said the latter, his hatred surged once more and his magic energy erupted. A five meter blazing roc appeared behind him, at the same time, his eyes turned into a fiery pit.
“NAIVE!” Matias growled.
The blazing roc behind him roared as it spread its wings defiantly.
The huge light golden magic array above shook from the outburst of magic coming from Matias with his blazing roc.
However, no matter how much Matias’s magic energy increased, he could not seem to rouse his magic and attack.
It was as if Tyr’s magic array had the ability to restrain him!
This caused questions to rush in Matias’s mind.
One question was how such a common support type of innate magic, strengthening magic, could produce such a powerful pressure and restraining effect. It even managed to cancel out his people’s joint attack.
Another question was how the members of the order outside the building suddenly disappeared.
Those people could not have been illusions, were they?
‘Stop!’ Matias forced himself to push all these questions at the back of his mind.
Those questions could be answered in a bit, after he dealt with Tyr!
The last time Matias was here, Tyr overpowered him, resulting in such a deep-seated hatred to take root in his heart.
His innate fire magic were no ordinary flames. He had the blazing roc, after all. Fire mages whose flames manifested into a legendary beast were rare not only within the Ylfaen Empire but throughout the world.
A beast manifestation of magic was different from a molded beast to form a magic attack.
Mages whose magic manifested a beast meant it received a blessing, giving a boost to the magic’s property.
Though it was said that the hottest flames that one could possess was the purple flames of hell, Matias flames were categorized among the legendary beasts. With the roc being the third to possess intense flames.
However, when Matias and Tyr fought, before he could even summon his magic the latter already knocked him down! Not to mention, Tyr did so without using magic!
Clearly, the Blacksmith Order’s Array, which was created by an Array Master, had something to do with Tyr’s unexplainable explosive strength. Because Matias’s flames could not possibly be inferior to him who possessed a support type magic!ππ£π xt.πππ
Matias would prove it to everyone. He would not fail this time.
As long as he could force Tyr out of the order’s array, and fight outside, Matias would slaughter him!
Only then would the humiliation he felt that day be appeased!
Matias was filled with hatred that it clouded his judgment. He even failed to notice that Kyran had long left the area of effect of the Blacksmith Order’s Array. Not to mention, the ‘array’ above was no magic array, but an array formation.
That was right.
Kyran simply camouflaged the color of the Array above to mirror ‘Tyr’s magic array.’ If Matias had been calm, he would have realized that the runes on the array above were array formulas. One of which was a target-based transmission formula.
This formula was the reason the members of the Blacksmith Order disappeared. They had been transported inside the building.
As Kyran had his eyes fixed on Matias and his people, he was listening to a voice speaking in his head.
Surprisingly, the voice in his head sounded almost the same as his.
[Three ordinary humans are suffering from second-degree burns, six third-degree burns. Two got their limbs severely burnt and one lost an eye. Lastly, one Array Specialist is critically wounded. Master, they all needed immediate care.]
‘Use all necessary potions or pills from my pouch to apply first aid. I’ll handle the rest later. If there’s anything lacking, let me know at once,’ Kyran replied.
[Yes, master.]
Kyran closed his eyes and took a deep breath. If he had been a few seconds late, these people would have died horribly. They might not be ‘his’ people, but as ‘Tyr,’ they were his comrade in arms.
In the first place, Matias’s target had been him. But they did not go to him, and even tried to face Matias on their own.
While Kyran appreciated their thought, he also felt they were too foolish.
Matias was the grandson of the Lumley Family, he would not have come if he was not confident in handling them.
Kyran already confirmed that there were at least four Grand Masters and two Exalted nearby observing them.
Though he was unsure whether these Grand Masters and Exalted were with Matias, they were definitely no friend of the Blacksmith Order.
In any case, Kyran did not care about those people. Let them observe all they want, but since he was ‘Tyr’ at the moment, he would act accordingly.
He already revealed Tyr’s temper when he first dealt with Matias, and when he sparred with someone from the army in front of the Crown Princess. Going by this two incidents, if he acted up right here, they would not think he was out of character, right?
Kyran slowly opened his eyes, revealing Tyr’s beautiful aquamarine eyes. However, at the moment, the usual dazzling look reflected on them was replaced by coldness.
“Three, six, two, one and one,” Kyran spoke with a voice loud enough for Matias and his people to hear.
Matias frowned as he heard him. He had no idea what Kyran was muttering about. His confusion was cleared soon after as Kyran continued.
“That’s a total of thirteen, tsk. Such an ominous number.”
Without taking his eyes off Matias and his people, Kyran added with a smile that did not meet his eyes, “Well, will you look at that. You have the same number.”
“What are you-?”
BAM! BAM! BAM!
“ARGH!!!!”
Miserable cries filled the air as three of the white-robed mages fell on the ground, their legs twisted in a very strange angle.
The eyes of all the remaining white-robed mages widened in fear and they broke out in cold sweat as they sensed such intense killing intent behind them.
The members of the order who were watching from inside the building also looked at the scene before them with bulging eyes.
They had not seen Disciple Tyr moved! In less than three seconds, he attacked three of the white-robed mages and appeared behind them with his wooden staff held in his right hand.
Such speed! How was he able to move so fast?
“That’s three partial fractures? I guess that’s equivalent to a second-degree burn?” Kyran wondered aloud as he stood with his back on the white-robed mages.
Matias, who was frozen in place when he realized Tyr had vanished from his view, slowly turned, his heart pounding heavily in his chest, not from fear but from anger.
He turned to look behind.
At the same time, Kyran also turned.
Their eyes met and both of their eyes glowed as they charged forward.
“Disciple Tyr!” Matias growled and made a dash toward Kyran, the blazing roc superimposed on him.
If he could not release an attack then he would bring his flames to him!
Kyran, however, ignored the incoming Matias and continued to attack the white-robed mages.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
“ARGH!”
BAM! BAM! BAM!
“ARGH!”
“Y-Young master! S-Save us!”
More miserable shrieks filled the air as six more white-robed mages fell on the ground, blood gushing out from either their leg or arm. If one looked closely, something white with fleshy parts were sticking out from their robes!
“That’s six displaced fractures which can be equivalent to third-degree burn?” Kyran wondered aloud again that everyone who heard him could not help but feel their scalps go numb.
The blacksmiths inside the working area who were helping Kyran’s puppets tend to the injured members of the order also felt their blood run cold.
Since they were the ones who first had a look at the casualty Matias and his people had done, they knew exactly what Kyran was saying!
Kyran was injuring Matias’s people according to the injury their people received, albeit, instead of burns, he was aiming to fracture their bones!
S-Such a temper! It was good Kyran was on their side! If not… No. No. There was no point in thinking of the if’s. They were just glad he was on their side!
“Rawrgh!” Matias roared as he closed the distance between him and Kyran. He formed his hand into a fist as he aimed to punch the latter.
The blazing roc imitated his stance, but instead of a clenched fists, its clawed feet were aimed at Kyran.
“I’ll kill you!”
