When Yu Luocheng bought the Mejai’s Soulstealer, he also chose to switch off the game music and sound effects. His headphones muted the rest of the surrounding noises.

And finally, he turned off the party voice chat.

At this moment, he felt like he had submerged in water. No matter how deafening the sound in the emporium was, how tense the atmosphere had become, his world and heart was silent and calm.

***

Walking out from the base, the fog of war had covered the area outside of the walls. Behind the arc of the walls, the Inhibitor Towers stood alone, guarding the Inhibitors behind it. Their opponent’s objective this time would be to take down the mid lane Inhibitor, paving the first important step towards their victory!

Switching the party voice chat off, Yu Luocheng finally had some peace from his teammates arguments and accusations. They watched sullenly as their opponents stepped over the ruined towers, inching closer to their Inhibitor Tower.

How were they going to defend this? How could they resist against such a fierce assault?

Their killing intent coupled with the Baron Buff were enough to shake the walls of their base before they even reached.

“They’re coming,” Xue Haiyang said, his voice wavering.

It was a foreboding feeling as they were followed by a big wave of minions with Volibear leading them at the front. The mighty Thunder’s Roar was terrifying, his claws gleaming under the light, and you could see it crackling with lightning from time to time. Then you could see the Tidal Trickster—Fizz, his explosive damage had easily razed Team Scarlet and left them feeling defenseless in the battles they had been through.

The players behind these two champions were Yang Ying and Lin Laowu. They were ranked top ten in the LoL University League, and were on par with professional players. These two were the ones giving tremendous pressure to Team Scarlet, causing the team who was usually calm to fall into disarray which sparked internal conflicts.

It could be said that they had managed to completely crush Team Scarlet’s spirit.

In the 4 vs 5 with Team Aviator, they still had the confidence that they would obtain victory no matter what. Now in the finals against Team Dawn, they were beaten so soundly until they didn’t have the strength to retaliate.

What a difference in skill gap! This was the real thing. This game made them realize how incredibly weak they were compared to the real professionals.

Calming themselves down, they stole a few glances at Yu Luocheng. During the match against Team Aviator, it was Yu Luocheng’s Twisted Fate that had saved them when all seemed lost. But he had given up on them this time, choosing to go alone and buying a Mejai’s Soulstealer for a Support.

Forget it. They didn’t have the power to win this.

‘Let’s surrender.’

Xiao Tongtong didn’t have any more fight left in him, and he typed out the surrender command.

The voting options popped out at the bottom right of their screens, indicating that green was yes, and red was no. Xiao Dao and Xue Haiyang chose ‘yes’ immediately. If even Yu Luocheng had given up, where was their chance of victory?

With three votes for surrender, three striking green line occupied the voting screen.

***

Huang Yu had not voted, instead turning his gaze to look at Yu Luocheng. Yu Luocheng’s screen displayed the surrender dialog, but he looked as though he had not seen it at all. Seeing this, Huang Yu couldn’t decide.

No.

Huang Yu decided to take the bit between his teeth, and voted against surrendering.

Surrender vote failed for ally team 3/1.

***

At that point, Yu Luocheng finally raised his head, his gaze flickered toward Yu. He knew Huang Yu was the only possible person to have voted against the surrender vote.

***

Yu Luocheng shifted his attention back to the screen calmly, his eyes sharpening, and suddenly filled with fierce determination. If all four of them had voted to surrender, he would have left his seat without a word. They wouldn’t have deserved to be professional players and he would have advised Qin Ying to train another group of players.

But since someone had voted ‘no’ in the surrender vote, this match would continue. Yu Luocheng would continue…

Regardless of the outcome, he would do his best to show them the strength of a real professional player!

He didn’t even bother choosing ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in the surrender vote. In his heart, there was no concept of surrendering in e-sports.

Surrender?

Sorry, even after playing LoL for so long, he didn’t even know where the surrender key was!

***

“Xue Haiyang, be more aware of your positioning.” Yu Luocheng pointed out, directing his teammate.

Looking at the words that Yu Luocheng had typed in the chat, Xue Haiyang faltered for a split second. He knew that his positioning as an ADC was inadequate, and it was only due to his Support’s sacrifice that he had avoided death a few times. A Support needed to have the heart to always take the bullet for the ADC.

Yu Luocheng had demonstrated this well from the start, though this didn’t change the fact that they were playing a losing game.

“Okay!”

Xue Haiyang replied. He would take Yu Luocheng’s advice seriously.

Yu Luocheng nodded, then sneered as he directed his gaze to Fizz and Volibear instead. These were the two champions that could easily rush in and close the distance gap during fights.

In this match, Lux had died a total of four times.

The first was under the tower, when the four of them had killed him. The second was during a teamfight. The third and fourth time, he died protecting the ADC.

He sneered, because his death would be fixed at four. No matter how strong the rush was, don’t even think about touching the hem of his clothes!

***

A wave of minions pressed forward, Volibear and Riven following alongside. They clearly wanted to push hard at mid lane toward the inside of the base!

Keeping his gaze fixed on Riven, Yu Luocheng knew that it would be impossible to kill Fizz, who had too many repositioning skills and escape mechanisms. The only one he could possibly kill fast enough was the Exile—Riven.

Lux’s skill shots required accurate predictions and calculations on where the opponent would move toward, especially if you wanted to target a specific opponent in the middle of a chaotic teamfight. Standing just slightly out of sight, Yu Luocheng could see Riven’s eagerness to move.

Bamf!

Suddenly, someone Flashed.

The opponent’s Support—Taric was quick to Flash, throwing a stun at Jayce. It was obvious they had wanted Taric to initiate the teamfight, forcing Team Scarlet to focus on him first. Jarven and Singed reacted immediately, jumping into the fray to help Jayce.

The fight started and skill shots were being thrown at every second. Among the chaos however, Yu Luocheng remained indifferent to the fight that was happening. His attention was fully focused on the Riven, who had not made a single move. He needed to ensure that the first round of his burst damage was able to bring Riven down.

There was no room for mistakes! Absolutely not!
