Last Egg: Reincarnated as a Dragon in a Game

Chapter 250 The Siege Dragon [Bonus]

POV ???:

A group with nametags floating above their heads sat around a round table. They all wore identical armour forged of blue, glowing silver metal with small crosses engraved on their chests.

Their eyes looked into the nothingness as they read through the game forum.

Dozens of posts showing videos of a colossal dragon flooded the whole forum.

“What do you think about the new regional threat?” finally, one of the players interrupted the silence as he looked at his guildmates, stopping at a young woman in glasses and short-braided green hair.

“Hard. Very hard. It is not a wyrm but a dragon. So we can count on immense physical power, large-area splash damage that will bypass our resistances, almost unbreakable resistance, and powerful magic abilities giving the boss immense versatility. But most terrifying are their domain powers.”

“Is it really a dragon?”

“Have you not seen its size? That is not something that a wyrm can reach.”

“So, can we beat it?”

Everyone became quiet as they looked at the woman who turned silent, her eyes absent as she thought.

“Maybe? It is still a dragon, so if we can use its property as a hostage, we will gain a large advantage. We can also try other tricks.”

Hearing it, all of the players stood up from their seats, their eyes burning in zeal, “Alright, we will mobilise all of our high-level players and go for a hunt.”

POV Vesuvius:

The dragon landed on the field outside of a large town. The dark clouds of smoke erupted from him, drowning the whole area. He stepped forward, the ground shaking under his heavy steps as he slowly advanced towards the wall.

Arrows, bolts, and magical projectiles were flying from the walls, brightly glowing and exploding all over his body. The lights were constantly glowing, and explosions were sending ripples through the smoke clouds.

He didn’t feel anything. Instead, he kept advancing forwards, his massive body towering above the whole town with his eyes brightly glowing.

He felt like he could annihilate the whole town in a single breath.

His arm, covered in armour, swished through the air and landed on the walls. A loud bang reverberated through the whole town.

The stone wall crumbled and cracked, and the shockwaves from the impact rose dust clouds. The dragon moved his arm, moving down the walls like a child destroying a sandcastle.

The walls, towers, and everything was collapsing. The enemy soldiers were falling and getting crushed.

It was painful, Vesuvius felt pain with each destroyed segment, but he ground his teeth, ‘It was my town! And they are forcing me to damage it!’

Vesuvius felt rage burning in his heart. He felt the flames of his hatred burn brighter than ever before. He hated it all. He hated how they forced him to destroy what was his.

The dragon again spread his wings, bent his legs, and launched into the air like a missile, leaving behind only a destroyed wall and clouds of smoke.

Golden eyes ignited all over in the clouds of smoke, hundreds of golden dots approaching the breach in the walls.

POV The Guards:

Lights glowed brightly in a large stone building with multiple towers and tall walls. Spears of guards glinted in the light of brightly glowing magical crystals. The guards kept moving around the perimeter wall, their boots tapping on the bare stone.

A black shadow with orange glowing light moved in the darkness with the sound of metal clanging against metal. The shadow leapt, jumping over the wall and landed in the courtyard.

“Who is there?” lights pointed at the shadow, giant crossbows pointing at it from all directions. The steps of the guards came from all directions, all surrounding the tall figure standing in the courtyard.

The light revealed a tall terrifying figure higher than two meters, with massive fiery wings on his back. A shiny black armour covered in glowing runes and silver engraving glittered in the magical light.

The being had a weird posture that didn’t look humanoid, with proportions far from the human ones. A long tail grew from his back, and his legs were weirdly bent in his knees like the legs of a reptile.𝗈𝗏𝗅xt.𝗇t

Two golden circles burned in the visors of a helmet shaped like a head of a dragon.

The sound of an unsheathing sword resonated through everyone’s bodies as the being moved and unsheathed a large sword.

The sword was dark grey, with a shiny polished surface. Its whole long blade was covered in teeth like a flamberge. A line of glowing letters faintly glowed in the darkness on its long blade.

The sword was massive, easly large enough to split a human in half.

Fear gripped everyone’s hearts, their bodies shaking when seeing the monster decked in the expensive armour.

“It is a monster!”

“Fire!”

The shout shattered the silence of the night, followed by the whistling of bolts through the air.

POV The Knight:

Johan’s heart was pumping with adrenaline as he enjoyed the sound of metallic impacts as the bolts bounced off his armour. His eyes shone bright golden light, and the ground under him cracked as he launched forward.

The black mass of armour swished through the yard, moving like a steam roller towards a nearby soldier. His heart skipped a beat as he raised his blade and swung it vertically towards the soldier holding his sword in a defensive posture.

The blade glittered and the two swords collided with a loud bang. The human soldier fell to the ground, the large toothy blade cutting through his sword, breaking his arms and passing through his body all the way from his helmet to his groin.

Blood splashed in all directions as the soldier’s body split in half, every single soldier freezing in horror.

Johan stopped, his eyes locked on the dead soldiers and the pool of blood growing under him. He was shocked, and his hands trembled, ‘So this how it feels to kill a human.’

In an instant, all his doubts vanished, replaced by the joy of getting stronger.

With all of his hesitation gone, he pushed his mana. In an instant, his whole sword ignited with magma flowing along its entire blade, illuminating the yard in its bright orange light.

The sound of his armoured boots resounded through the yard as he stepped towards another group of soldiers, his heart loudly pounding.

He swung his sword through the air, a fan of magma drops splitting from the magma around its blade. The fan of magma flew towards the soldiers, showering them in burning liquid.

They fell like human torches towards the ground, wailing in pain.
