Chapter 134 "Surgeon" [Bonus]
The dragon stood in the cave chamber that was glowing from the heat. Thick clouds of smoke rose from his body, spreading along the ceiling. His reptilian eyes were glued on the small elf in front of him.
“What is going on with you, your highness? The dragons that I heard of were different. They grew much slower and were too arrogant to use any outside help to get stronger!”
The dragon erupted in laughter, the whole cave shaking and the small elf retreating backwards, “Hahaha, young Alesia, do you think that I would tell you a great secret about dragons? I am the chosen one of the dragon god, making me more perfect than any other dragon before me! That is all you need to know!”
Vesuvius sounded arrogant and confident, but inside he was sweating, ‘Hopefully, this satisfied her curiosity.’
Seeing the sweat running down the elf’s fair and pale skin, the dragon realised something, ‘Her heat resistance looks like it is not enough after my evolution. Maybe I should upgrade her too…’.
Vesuvius had an idea, it was an idea that no one from Lorenia would ever think of, but he still had most of his memories from his life on earth, ‘I can give blood to living beings to transform them. So what about more special transplantation, like my bone marrow?’
Bone marrow was the source of his blood, so he could easily imagine that putting it into someone else’s body could cause a much greater transformation.
In the end, he looked at the shivering elf and shook his head, ‘No, she will not be my laboratory rat.’
The dragon bit his tongue, glowing red blood flowing out to his outstretched clawed hand.
“Now drink my minion drink and become stronger to server me better!”
POV Minions:
Bright red flames flared up on the horizon as a line of demons as tall as trees marched in a wide line. Their muscular red bodies, covered in fur that moved as if made out of flames, glowed in bright red light. Red horns grew out of their heads, pulsing in waves of red light.
Each of them held a long pitch-black axe covered in red flames. There were at least a dozen of them. Their red eyes were looking towards the group of masked players.
“Middle-tier demons and so much of them…” a figure in black standing in front of the deep black tunnel in the mountain murmured, seeing the incoming demons.
“Graaaa!” a loud scream whirling the ash came from the dark tunnel.
“That is another one… what the hell is the master doing?” the players couldn’t help but want to know what was going on inside, but none of them could find out as the heat radiating out was so great that they simply burned when trying to approach.
Frustrated players stood outside, bickering as they waited for the demons to attack.
“Dang, why do they have to be busy right now when a strong wave of demons is coming!”
“You idiot, you have answered it yourself. It’s exactly because it supposed to be hard. With the boss participating, it would turn into another cutscene.”
POV Vesuvius:
The dragon lay sprawled on the ground; his shiny black scales with golden trails reflected the orange and yellow light. His whole body radiated heat, his aura pulsing around him, feeling like hot air exiting out of volcanoes.
A large cut split the dragon’s head in half, and the smooth white bones, covered in glowing letters and blood, peaked from it.
The small figure of an elf, covered in blood, stood before his head, holding a large metal spike covered in glowing runes. The glowing red liquid covered the whole spike, slowly flowing down its smooth polished surface.
The tiny elf stabbed and moved down the spike with all of her force, the golden light glowing around her body. The spike pierced straight into the bloody hole, blood flowing out, staining the stone floor under the dragon.
Vesuvius ground his teeth as his own spike from his back drilled through his flesh all the way to his skull. The tip of the spike suddenly flared up in pure white light, the elf slowly moving it, scraping against the edges of the injury and engraving runes directly on his skull.
The warm feeling filled inwards of his head, Vesuvius feeling as if his brain overheated. The feeling vanished almost immediately, leaving behind nothing but the pain.
Vesuvius felt like he was in hell, his mind was lost in his inner space, when suddenly a distant voice brought him out, “Your Highness, your skull is finished.” the small elf took a step back, her eyes glued on the dragon’s head with interest.
The dragon breathed out in relief, pushing his mana towards the deep bleeding cut on his head. Immediately the refuelled nanites activated, the cut turning smaller and smaller with each second before it closed.
A layer of shiny black scales regrew on the newly regenerated tissue. The runes around his body immediately flared up, the light becoming brighter than ever before.
The elf’s voice trembled in excitement, her eyes glowing as she looked straight into the dragon’s reverse-slitted eyes, “Y-your highness, do you want to take a break, or can I continue with your spine?!”
A shiver passed down the dragon’s spine, the vivid memory of someone’s literary playing with his injury still present in his mind.
He just wanted to take a break and split it over a longer period, but his pride wouldn’t allow him to acknowledge such a weakness.
“Continue, minion! Such a trivial pain is nothing to mighty dragons!”
The dragon moved his trembling clawed hand, slowly bringing the claw to his neck. He grunted his teeth and stabbed, pushing and rotating his claw against his scales. The runes on both were wildly flashing, a loud scrapping noise echoing through the whole cave accompanied by bright sparks.
Soon blood splurted out as his long claw that just penetrated through the layer of scales. He brought back his claw, and the small elf walked forwards with a smile on her face as she stabbed the spike into the hole. The red blood surged out, splashing on the elf, her smile growing wider.
‘Was like this even before, or did my blood turn her into a lunatic?’
The dragon’s thoughts vanished as the new wave of pain stabbed from his neck. The small smiling elf pushed with all of her weight against the spike, using it like a lever to uplift and remove another scale to make the hole bigger.
